  • This video only shows the sirens activating for the tornado warning. I captured the second, third, and forth siren activation shortly after getting off of school early. The first activation occurred while I was in the car. I'll be uploading a video of the storm & sirens shortly (It is 30 minutes long and will take longer to edit & upload). Also if you have not noticed this is this is the first time I got a siren ambience from my house with my new camera.
You can hear several sirens in this video. The primary siren you can hear is a Federal Signal: DSA running wail tone while most of the 2001-DCs (and even a 2001-SRN) run attack during one activation. A few 2001s run a steady alert signal.
You can hear the 2001 ambience when the DSA siren quits halfway during the second, fourth, and presumably first activation. I am not sure why it does this, it seems to be a new problem the DSA is having, or the siren was purposely shut off early. That is why I believe Jasper should test for a full three minutes like most of Dubois County.
The potentially tornadic thunderstorm generated numerous funnel cloud sightings along Dubois County, however no tornado touchdown was confirmed. Dubois Co. was spared from the worst of this storm system. However, there was lots of panic throughout the area.
