Although this is an old video, just had to say a few words. I was privileged to watch Dave and Jimmy Greaves throughout their careers at Spurs. They were the greatest players I have ever seen. Different type of players of course. But they were truly greats. As a long, life time supporter of Spurs, just imagine if we had them in our team today. Heaven. I will never forget the joy they gave me watching them. RIP you two true greats of the game.
And a fantastic manager for derby. Winning. The. League title. Charity sheild. Fa cup semi final. And great European cup runs. Beating the likes of real Madrid. A true legend
@@alanmcdonald9948 Yes i have no doubt Hearts were his number one lifelong team. But by going to Derby when he did instead of Hearts, he ended up with a share of the Footballer Of The Year for 68/69, and couple of pieces of silverware won at Derby. I guess his affinity with Derby also made him a high ranking candidate for the Derby managers job after Clough and of course Dave did the bizzo and won The Rams the First division Championship, matching what Cloughie had achieved 3 years earlier..

Wish he`d come back to Hearts instead of Derby . He was a great inspiring player .
No disrespect to Heart Of Midlothian, but i think Dave made the correct career choice at the time. Hearts, Spurs & Derby legend.
@@TheGlassman63 no disrespect to derby but heart of Midlothian was the love of Davies’s life
It was the only team he wanted to play for
