For direct minions, i use numlock trick to have it constantly triggering where mouse is. Two buttons at the start of each map and sometimes bugs/falls off but worth to not kill my hands
@@kylekelley2778 sure, bind direct minions to a numpad number. When you enter a zone, press and hold that button, then (while holding) press num lock key and then you can let go of the direct minions button. it will continue "clicking" that button for you. Been talked about a lot in PoE1, grey area for ToS but many streamers have said they use it and werent banned so i guess its okay
Cooking up the infernalist version now. Bringer of flame to make the phys damage ignite. Grinning Immolation for the crit damage bonus. Fourth ascendancy is still up in the air. Demon form would be insane if I can keep it up.

Make a tree guide so we can see, I'm thinking about doing something like that too but I'm not sure if it will be viable, I play for a short time a day so fixing a build would be horrible haha, but if there's a way, make a tree and send it to us, thank you friend

I level with bonestorm, bone ring and corpsewade boots. Not bad to level at all, especially after the patch. Stack crit rate. Once you get 2nd ascend for 10% leech combined with some recoup nodes in the tree you are basically immortal.
Been running this build for a while now. Low mana cost is great, dps output is usually great, being at a distance, with overfilled ES/Life is pretty good. Done 4th Ascendancy recently, and I'm lvl 87 atm. My biggest problem right now, is DPS uptime on large HP bosses. Big HP bosses, you'll run out of minions several time, which leads to me running around like a headless chicken for 7-8 seconds, which feels bad. So I'll have to test out warrior or clerics. Same goes for map clear, if I rush, and my last minion detonated behind me, I can run into a pack without a nearby corpse, and get overwhelmed. The consistency, rng can be problematic, as without corpses nearby mouse cursor, I have 0 dmg. The other thing is minions and detonations being slow and clunky sometimes, but it's not too bad. So far only the DPS uptime is a big issue that I'd like to resolve. Anyhow, kudos for the great build, would recommend! :D Also for minion direct, I use left shift. My pinky naturally rest there, so it's easy to hold for directions. Try it.
Thanks! Yeah I've felt those pain points a lot while progressing through the build. Getting more aoe helped a lot for the clear since you can just not worry about using your skeles and keep them in reserve for the next pack. I bet warriors are really good, or getting spirit on chest/neck for another brute. The jankyness i hope they can fix, seems targetting/minion movement related mostly
I've been running this build for a while and try to keep 1 brute up at all times since the respawn timer is reset when he dies. I also use bonestorm and ice sall for those moments where they are still respawning, been serving me well. Only complaint that there should be a dedicated button for sacrificed minions since DDing random corpses sometimes doesn't output enough damage and gets me killed.
Looks great, running a similar build. A nice utility if you can spare a skill slot is bone cage with lockdown support, helps if youre getting swarmed. Also not sure if vulnerability is needed, you break armour with crits really easy, I'm using enfeeble instead.
Hey thanks for the guide this is by FAR the most fun I've had on Blood Mage so far and I really appreciate you putting this together. I have a couple questions: 1. Does taking the unique helmet take priority even if it means not being able to be res capped? (I'm running t15 maps with like 80% success map to map) 2. How are you getting 75% chance to not consume corpse? I'm seeming to be sitting on 50% between tree passives and the unique wand? 3. Any tips for minions getting stuck in tight areas? I bound minion movement to a button on my mouse which is huge but they still get stuck and often disappear if they lag behind forcing me to wait awkwardly for them to respawn. 4. I am level 88 and have followed the guide for nodes but don't have enough points yet to get some of the critical nodes like For the Jugular and True Strike. Would you prioritize Crit nodes over say % increase to physical damage? 5. I am running around 5-6 brutes right now because of a nice spirit roll on my amulet. I'm missing minion levels on it. Would you prioritize minion level over spirit (more brutes)? I am already running into issues with my brutes dying because I seem to have only 50% consume corpse chance. Hey! 1. I'd probably cap res, an ES helmet is still good 2. support gem in DD to not consume 25% 3. make them back up and go forward gain, thats it really :( 4. Depends on your crit change/damage really, the crit is quite good, id say test both! 5. if your damage feels good enough, the extra brutes are probably worth it for less jank, try a cleric too. if you feel you need more dmg, start looking for gem levels!
not pointless, if the sceptres are 100 ex I would not say they are required at all, but its more for the weapon set skill points. They can increase your dmg ST and clear for AOE, not necessary but not pointless.
Loving this build, especially for survivability. Any thoughts on doing Gore (5% reduced health, 30% life leeched, 40% physical damage) or Perfectly Place Knife (30% increased crit on bleeding targets, 20% to aggravate bleeding on crit) for Amulet?
Place knife works only with crit attacks, not spells. I don't think that would work. I wanted to do a bleeding build but that turned me off, all the aggravated nodes are for attacks and not spells
Raging spirits on flame wall, with bomber minions and spam unearth for minions you can blow up with the bomber active. You can run this all the way to maps without an issue. Some bosses took a bit to kill but nothing terrible. Also I don’t see this too often but I highly suggest just deactivating your blood mage ascendancy points until you have 6. They’re just going to make the campaign miserable for you.
i am doing the left way for ascendancy, and i am a bit squishier. But my spell crit is around 70% with like 500% crit multiplier. I use double crit jewels, chance+dmg , Tried today on tier 4 breachlord , 35m hp in half a minute, i'd say its decent :D
Im cooking up this with profane ritual and summon zombies (for fun / use up the power charges). Profane at level 25 doubles the damage it has at level 20. Plus the quality is chance to not consume corpse. So technically it may hit 100% chance to not consume a corpse 🤔

I'm running a similar build, less focused on crit but more on bleed, which is likely not as good, but anyways, one thing I think you could add to make this even better, is SRS. While we are scaling Physical, its still doing fire damage, meaning this will summon SRS. You might be thinking, yea but the SRS will do no damage since we aren't scaling minion damage..and you are right! But that's why we don't mod it for damage. I've added increased accuracy, maim and culling strike on my SRS. So now my DD summon srs's that will seek out and maim new mobs (extra survivability) or cull mobs that didn't quite die
@@jacobst3 well my builds different like I said. I’ve not had any damage issues with warriors instead of brutes but I’m also much lower tiers in maps atm. I’m running about 6 warriors which is enough so far. Since warriors are more expendable it also allows me to run the offering that boosts my spell damage by 30% when I need the extra power
@@jacobst3 Are you sure culling applies to minions? I haven't studied your entire build yet, but from the description of the gem alone, this shouldn't apply to minions? I might be wrong here, happy to be corrected if so.

@@jacobst3 I'm asking because the gem says; "supports attack skills" and minions are a different category. so even if they attack, it should theoretically not apply. I used elemental resis for minions for now, but guess I gotta test out cull some time to check if it actually does something. the rest of the build is certified banger though. I copied it, and so far it slaps.
Thanks for build. You can buy pretty cheap corrupted unique. Helm +1 minion lvl and crit chance on wand. Looks like soul offering work, but its hard to test. Any idea how improve build for t3-t4 unnique bosses?
Bleed chance not worth it. Armor pen in phys hits is way more better. I started this build few days ago inspired by your vid and changed a lot. I have 4 brutes with 44 k hp and 1 cleric, also raging spirit with daze and other usefull supports helps a lot and they spawn instantly since dd is phys/fire tag skill. U also not using offering with proper support its gives aroud 50% more dmg and one shot all bosses i met so far in t15 with +2 boss difficulty. Also 60% es 20% less recharge rate is op since u dont recharge es but u got it from orbs on the ground. With that amount of es that stater passive for es which gives 12% es as extra stun treshhold is op. I got 450% crit multi and 71% crit chance + ambush. Also change that 1 ex wand for normal rolls u loose like 18% crit chance on that. Comon..
I'm very interested in this! But it's a bit hard to understand what you want to change, from what you write. What is "Armor pen in phys hits" for example? Which supports do you use on what? Do you want him to not use the unique wand?
I played with mostly gear I found on the ground or crafted myself (including the wand) which is why its not a great roll. Where are you getting enough spirit for srs brute and cleric, I assume on chest/neck (I just didnt craft those items yet). Offering is totally something I overlooked and could be great! I think recharge rate still matters especially in ST or pinnacle bosses where they don't get 1 shot, as you dont heal enough on grim feast alone. Sounds like your build is great though!
@@jacobst3 inspitation and longer duration are good supp btw for offering. U can also add inspiration for 40% less cost and mobs on spike(from offering) can be used for dd too so no downsides.
What would you say is the earliest level to swap this? I ditched my bloodmage after the trigger nerf at 48 so I’m just wondering if I can use this for the rest of the campaign

1. you could get lord of horrors and pick up minion life in the top left! 2. Crit damage is great 3. Preference, minion life is damage other is defense, i'd probably do the minion life since there aren't that many sources other than the tree

@@ritentori Cast speed on rings is pretty valuable IMO, Ventors are obviouslly good, but well rolled ones are expensive. Try use ring slots to fix res + max life + cast speed and then focus on getting a chest with 50+ spirit and life (and make sure its on an energy shield base)
A lot of blood mages have fallen on this because DD is very cheap so you dont damage yourself a lot with every cast. You get a good bit of crit and survivability being a blood mage. I was running ED/Contagion blood mage and cursing enemies with -chaos res did so much damage to myself
I ay an arsonist build and I use raging spirits with cast on minions death that uses DD and spell echo/cascade.. i plan on testing using 2x cast on minions death with DD one with spell echo the other with cascade.. see if I can go full terrorist on the maps levels..

DO NOT REPEAT My mistake :D Lvl 20 and 21 have the same HP , and at lvl 32-33 they also have the same HP :D Only difference is 44 and 45 spirit cost. I have them at 62k hp for aoe and 68k hp for single target
Boys! I was cast on freeze meteor witch and swapped to this build today. Jesus Christ this build is so easy and just melts shit! you can basically just spam detonate dead and still win its amazing! It is also very cheap to get online aside from the metric fuckton of gold you need for respec. He also actually answered my question in game like the video said. I asked about jewels. You want chance to inflict bleed and minion life!
@arkannon1682 have you checked impending doom? I have a hard on for chaos skills. Ive managed to make hexblast viable on infernalist. But I don't like that I have to wait for the damage or spam life flask for 20 second at the end of demon form.
@@WhiteAntelope7 I wanted to play chaos too but BM doesn't scale well with dot at all except bleed. I would still stick with Infernalist. It is much better than BM in all aspects. You just have to deal with her penalties. BM on the other hand is just penalties without reward.
@@arkannon1682 I leveled with Bonestorm + scattershot + considered casting + brutality, Fireball, wall of fire and DD as soon as it becomes available, it's still good even without minion Sacrifice
I mean, u are a genius, but u miss some things.. for example with a good corruption the wand can have 30% chance to not consume corpses, same applies for the helmet, i got one with 36% convert max life to ex, and 15% bypass.
As someone who's been running this build please stop posting about it they're going to nerf it, there's barely anything viable as a blood mage in the first place

I don't think it's nerf worthy. The clear is quite mid compared to most meta builds because you have to wait for the skeles to keep catching up unless you keep weapon swapping to pseudo-convo them.

I found that having a cleric or two helped clear a lot early on if you get some spirit on amulet and/or chest.

@@jacobst3 Yes, in narrow locations the skill simply doesn't work.
Set the second weapon staff just for bosses with the bonestorm, also use the bone cage.

Great video! I noticed that you're using two scepters, and your passive tree includes weapon skill points. Why and how does it work?
Pointles, scepters costs like 100 ex no point on having two scepters just have 2 dd skill gems lol

I ran essence drain/contagion leveling and realized it was incredibly ass in mapping and switched to this DD build

The quality does nothing for the build, it only affects the volatile dead skill which is not used by the build, go corruption amok :D

I took chaos res in act 6 which I think is very good, in act 3 I think i took stun, ailment is fine too
I run a home brew of this build. 50% is enough. I also run 3 brute 3 clerics and if the brutes ever die the clerics just rez them immediately.

I run into the problem of my clerics getting tangled in with brutes and accidently DD'ing them for far less damage since their health is a lot lower
How does minion's stats scale with gem level? The one in poe2db is not accurate.
The brutes gain tons of life with levels. Thats why doing minion and physical mastery for +2 is really good

I used elemental resis for minions for now, but guess I gotta test out cull some time to check if it actually does something. the rest of the build is certified banger though. I copied it, and so far it slaps.
Thanks for build. You can buy pretty cheap corrupted unique. Helm +1 minion lvl and crit chance on wand. Looks like soul offering work, but its hard to test. Any idea how improve build for t3-t4 unnique bosses?
Offering works and works with 75% minions to not be destroyed so if u are not using it u are nerfing yourself by about 50% dmg
Honestly might transition to this build, was leveling with bonestorm/DD but the sacrifice with DD sounds cool and hopefully it’s a bit tankier lol.

Bleed chance not worth it. Armor pen in phys hits is way more better. I started this build few days ago inspired by your vid and changed a lot. I have 4 brutes with 44 k hp and 1 cleric, also raging spirit with daze and other usefull supports helps a lot and they spawn instantly since dd is phys/fire tag skill. U also not using offering with proper support its gives aroud 50% more dmg and one shot all bosses i met so far in t15 with +2 boss difficulty. Also 60% es 20% less recharge rate is op since u dont recharge es but u got it from orbs on the ground. With that amount of es that stater passive for es which gives 12% es as extra stun treshhold is op. I got 450% crit multi and 71% crit chance + ambush. Also change that 1 ex wand for normal rolls u loose like 18% crit chance on that. Comon..
Hello. Can you make maxroll version with passive + skills/support? What stats are you looking for on the wand? +physical skill gems?
I'm very interested in this! But it's a bit hard to understand what you want to change, from what you write. What is "Armor pen in phys hits" for example? Which supports do you use on what? Do you want him to not use the unique wand?
I played with mostly gear I found on the ground or crafted myself (including the wand) which is why its not a great roll. Where are you getting enough spirit for srs brute and cleric, I assume on chest/neck (I just didnt craft those items yet). Offering is totally something I overlooked and could be great! I think recharge rate still matters especially in ST or pinnacle bosses where they don't get 1 shot, as you dont heal enough on grim feast alone. Sounds like your build is great though!

@@jacobst3 inspitation and longer duration are good supp btw for offering. U can also add inspiration for 40% less cost and mobs on spike(from offering) can be used for dd too so no downsides.
What would you say is the earliest level to swap this? I ditched my bloodmage after the trigger nerf at 48 so I’m just wondering if I can use this for the rest of the campaign

@@keyonparvilus145 when dd crits the initial hit is so large it leaves a fat bleed, there's a bit of magnitude on the physical nodes top left too

1- What passives would you recommend in case we cannot add Spirit + to the necklace?
2- I added Crit Damage Bonus to the armband, what do you think?
3- Regarding Jewel, do you recommend Minion Maximum Life 15% or do you recommend Blue jewels and Defensive Energy Shield?

1. you could get lord of horrors and pick up minion life in the top left!
2. Crit damage is great
3. Preference, minion life is damage other is defense, i'd probably do the minion life since there aren't that many sources other than the tree
im using stormweaver ascendancy with this build, it's not as tanky as yours but it casts detonate dead way faster

@@NickZiri what you think about 2 ventor's for 1 more skeleton i have extra spirit from wand and i need 2 ventors for 1 more skeleton with 15-17 spirit each, you think this is upgrade or i can do something better with this unreserved spirit?
@@ritentori Cast speed on rings is pretty valuable IMO, Ventors are obviouslly good, but well rolled ones are expensive. Try use ring slots to fix res + max life + cast speed and then focus on getting a chest with 50+ spirit and life (and make sure its on an energy shield base)
Is DD physical and that’s why you run blood mage for the bleed and crit ? I’m confused

A lot of blood mages have fallen on this because DD is very cheap so you dont damage yourself a lot with every cast. You get a good bit of crit and survivability being a blood mage. I was running ED/Contagion blood mage and cursing enemies with -chaos res did so much damage to myself
are there any ways to get 100% chance to not consume a corpse, and is it worth it? other than dual wielding the wand

Would raging spirits with infernal legion and minion instability be a big dps upgrade? Seems like it might be good value.
Also I’d love to see a chayula monk playing around hand of chayula and a wand weapon swap. Could be neat after the patch.
I ay an arsonist build and I use raging spirits with cast on minions death that uses DD and spell echo/cascade.. i plan on testing using 2x cast on minions death with DD one with spell echo the other with cascade.. see if I can go full terrorist on the maps levels..
Raging spirit doing 0 dmg but its good for debuffing mobs with daze etc.
Can you guys upvote this to be first comment ? Roflmao :D Today i spent 20 DIV for the science, vaaled 10x lvl 20 brutes 5Links, to be able to get 1 single lvl 21 gem . DO NOT REPEAT My mistake :D Lvl 20 and 21 have the same HP , and at lvl 32-33 they also have the same HP :D Only difference is 44 and 45 spirit cost. I have them at 62k hp for aoe and 68k hp for single target

Boys! I was cast on freeze meteor witch and swapped to this build today. Jesus Christ this build is so easy and just melts shit! you can basically just spam detonate dead and still win its amazing! It is also very cheap to get online aside from the metric fuckton of gold you need for respec. He also actually answered my question in game like the video said. I asked about jewels. You want chance to inflict bleed and minion life!
was able to corrupt the wand and the consume corpse hit 36% :)

Im using blink for my clear set with 2 minions. Its a bit faster imo.
I really like blink, 60 spirit is just a lot ;(
How did you level this build? No minions please. Also looking at hexblast for blood mage.
Hexblast is easier to gear and build with less headache but overall weaker than DD
@arkannon1682 have you checked impending doom? I have a hard on for chaos skills. Ive managed to make hexblast viable on infernalist. But I don't like that I have to wait for the damage or spam life flask for 20 second at the end of demon form.
@@WhiteAntelope7 I wanted to play chaos too but BM doesn't scale well with dot at all except bleed.
I would still stick with Infernalist. It is much better than BM in all aspects. You just have to deal with her penalties. BM on the other hand is just penalties without reward.

@@arkannon1682 I leveled with Bonestorm + scattershot + considered casting + brutality, Fireball, wall of fire and DD as soon as it becomes available, it's still good even without minion Sacrifice

In your settings you can turn off Gemcutting restrictions (bottom under game), you can have 2 of the same skill gems, just not supports

YOu need to start with the first spell and progression. This is end game... waste of time
I mean, u are a genius, but u miss some things.. for example with a good corruption the wand can have 30% chance to not consume corpses, same applies for the helmet, i got one with 36% convert max life to ex, and 15% bypass.

Nah I don't mind if it gets nerfed, its early access and I trust ggg enough, worst case I get to try something new (which it all is since its poe 2)
I don't think it's nerf worthy. The clear is quite mid compared to most meta builds because you have to wait for the skeles to keep catching up unless you keep weapon swapping to pseudo-convo them.
Soon as those streamers get bored of their current builds, they gonna come right back to DD and its gonna get the hammer, sucks
