  • Power. Synergy. Collaboration. That’s how your body works.
    Every food that you eat matters.
    Every drink. Every exercise and every supplement. They all work together, as allies, forming a powerful team inside your body to make you healthier and live longer.
    And some of them, are enemies, neutralizing one another, offsetting the benefit and wasting your money and efforts. We’ve seen that in the previous episode.
    Therefore, to keep your body young and increase your health and longevity, you must use the power of synergy correctly.
    The problem, though, synergies between foods, supplements, and habits are very rarely researched or even spoken.
    And if you take a tiny teeny supplement called resveratrol, popularized by Dr David Sinclair, you’re taking one of the most synergetic supplements known to man.
    Did you know that resveratrol interacts with other supplements that you take? With other foods that you eat?
    This mysterious molecule targets different mechanisms depending on what you eat, drink, and which supplement you take with it.
    What should you do? You’ll see the newest research on that.
    today, In our investigation, you’ll discover how resveratrol interacts with olive oil, avocado, collagen, green tea, red wine,
    And with supplements, such as NMN, NR, collagen, glycine, NAC, much more.
    Let’s cover a critical topic that nobody else speaks about that will help you form the lifelong habits of longevity and good health, right now.

    Thanks very much, Rimon. You're obviously very good at reading scientific papers to get useful information, I appreciate your time & effort.
    Having viewed your earlier videos on resveratrol, I have for some time been taking 1gram on a Monday (cancer protective, I'm 55) then 100mg on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays and none on Wednesdays, Saturday or Sunday.
    Now I'm considering high dosing for 3 days at the beginning of each month, then keeping to my earlier low dose regime for the rest of the month ??
    Will re- watch this videro a couple of times more, there is a lot of information... ;-)
    I hope your wife's health continues to improve.

      Hi Dave thanks for the wishes for my wife. Yeah, your protocol seems good, on the aggressive side. Nobody knows exactly what's the perfect mixup.
      Not a recommendation/not medical advice - I would probably do 4-5 days every 3 months ages 55-65, and over age 60-65 do it every month. It also depends on our genetic disposition to cancer and family history (more risk = I'd be more aggressive). Again, pure speculation. your guess is as good as mine. The dosage has to be spot on, that's for sure.

    Personally I eat one avocado a day and I usually drink about one shot glass of olive oil with it. I also drink green tea and I also drink this chicken bone broth it also has turmeric and ginger in it every day. Also I try to eat as many blueberries as I can when they’re in season and strawberries. I think now after watching your video it might be important to supplement with resveratrol . I also take a NAC supplement along with a few other supplements as well. Longevity is starting to move forward in a very good direction and I appreciate the information. Please keep up the good work! Thank you kindly!

    Another excellent video! Very informative.
    Synergy is something I’ve tried to implement for a long time. One way I do this is by identifying multiple molecules/supplements/foods that activate a given sirtuin, like for example sirtiun 1, and incorporate all of them into my diet and supplement regimen. I know that the studies on this are fairly sparse, but the ones I’ve seen that do look at synergy usually show a positive benefit. So I go with that. Among the ones you mention here I’ve used olive oil for many years, and I definitely take NMN, NR, and NAD+. I don’t drink tea though so I have a green tea extract supplement instead, and I’m very glad there is synergy between the catechins and resveratrol.
    You mention you’ll be looking at quercetin in the future, might I also suggest curcumin? I know that these two have some degree of synergy, so it might be worth it to look at both.
    There are some other synergistic pathways that I’ve been interested in lately. One I have mentioned before, nitric oxide. It seems like a critical support function for a lot of things that happen to promote longevity. It even seems to activate some longevity processes directly, hence why I’ve started eating foods high in natural nitrates (leaf vegetables and beets). Another that I’ve started taking an interest in is the gut microbiome, which also seems to be extremely critical for so much related to our health and longevity. Maybe you could look at probiotics in the future too?
    One other thing that I’m a big fan of is liposomal delivery of molecules to increase bioavailability. Again, the research on this is fairly sparse but it seems to make a big difference in the positive effects of things like resveratrol and also quercetin and curcumin (phytosome delivery). Pretty much any supplement with low bioavailability I try to get a liposomal pill for, so at this point I have a lot of them.
    Keep up the awesome work! Your videos are so interesting! There is a lot to cover, we’ll never figure out everything, but the journey is fun!
    Best wishes to you and also in your wife’s recovery - glad she is improving! Keep us posted!

    Initially I was rather concerned by the heavily and almost obsessive criticism of the Dr Sinclairs use cases/dosage for resveratrol as there may have been a personal research case for his high dosage we simply do not know as he was not advocating people do this. However this video/lecture on synergy is really really good, well done it triangulates a pretty diverse roadmap of application that people can choose in multi faceted ways from supplemental to dietary habits. Definitely something to take note from. Thank you

    what i still dont understand is why ppl never mention olive leaf powder
    its dirt cheap
    here what chatgpt thinks about it:
    Q: how much polyphenols in 5g olive leaf powder. how much polyphenols in the highest polyphenol olive oil 5ml
    A: The amount of polyphenols in 5g of olive leaf powder can vary depending on several factors such as the type of olive tree, its growing conditions, harvesting time, and the method of processing. However, a study published in the International Journal of Food Sciences and Nutrition reported that the total polyphenol content in olive leaf powder ranged from 90 to 144 mg/g of dry weight. Therefore, 5g of olive leaf powder may contain between 450 to 720 mg of polyphenols.
    As for the amount of polyphenols in the highest polyphenol olive oil, it is difficult to provide a specific value as it can vary depending on the brand and the method of production. However, some studies have reported that the polyphenol content in extra virgin olive oil can range from 50 to 800 mg/kg. Assuming the highest value, 5ml of the highest polyphenol olive oil may contain up to 4 mg of polyphenols.
    _______________________________
    yea i know olive oil is also oleic acid, but just from a sheer polyphenol perspective its extremely obvious which supplement to take

    • @WellnessMessiah
      @WellnessMessiah  Рік тому +1

      Hi there - very good comment. Well, I couldn't find synergetic studies with this, hence the exclusion from this video.
      If the leaves have the exact polyphenol content of olive oil (there are about 3-4 main ones), it should be an excellent source.

    • @monnoo8221
      @monnoo8221 Рік тому +2

      Nope, it is not at all clear. Leaves are not fruits. You can not exchange fruits for leaves, just because they are from the same plant...LOOL.... Try with strawberry, apples, almonds, avocados . The leafs always have MORE polyphenols. But guess, they are different and come with strings attached....

    Nature loves balance!
    There are hundreds of different herbs, fruits, vegetables. If not fresh, but in dried form.
    The amount of each (dosage) is less important, then variety. Better to eat 10 mg each of hundreds antioxidants then 1000 mg of resveratrol.

My Md. said "keep doing what you're doing it seems to be working". If you're taking NMN you're likely taking TMG (trimethyl glicine). Is this not a source of glycine? I wondered about cycling low dose and high dose. I may try an occasional high dose.

    Hi Rimon. I want to ask and perhaps propose an idea.
    What if we put 100mg resveratrol in 500mg capsule, and add perhaps c8 mct oil, or maybe olive oil. And then capsule it and take it maybe after big meal.
    What do you think about it?

    • @WellnessMessiah
      @WellnessMessiah  Рік тому +1

      Hi Bener, mct oil won't have a synergetic effect and I personally consume about 5 grams per day of MCT. Too much for a capsule.
      Olive oil too, I suspect better to consume it with a table spoon, which is about 3 capsules. Make more sense to create a formula with other polyphenols proven to complement resveratrol and activate other longevity pathways.

    Rimon. Can you please address something that I’ve never seen addressed by anyone else TO THE EXTENT OF PROVING IT ONE WAY OR ANOTHER. I’ve heard doctors claim that when you grind things into a FINE FLOUR (like wheat) you change the molecular structure of it. This seems like it would be pretty straight forward to determine but all I hear are the presumptions that it might be taking place when you grind things into fine powders or flours. Thanks-I love your brain ❤️🙏🏻

Maybe low dose Quercetin every other day in the future? maybe opposite of Resveratrol? I don’t want to cancel out Sirt6 activation. Have you checked the amount of arginine in your collagen supplement? In the past, you have warned about taking too much arginine. The collagen supplement that I have has a large amount of arginine.

      Hi George, mine doesn't have much (less than plant protein). If you're worried, just take glycine. I take collagen as a protein supplement as well, hence I need a variation of amino acids. IF you don't glycine is excellent.

    Fasting is the key to longevity...do a three day water fast once a month and you wont believe the results.
