- Fishing on the Pursuit out of 22nd Street Landing in San Pedro! Great weather and fun fishing!

First trip back after all the pandemic quarantine! I went with a couple of buddies on the Pursuit out of 22nd Street Landing. Capt John and crew did a great job all day with the safety protocols and putting us on fish. Bait were sluggish so picking the right bait was critical to getting bit. Fishing was scratchy so we all had to work for every bite. I got lucky with one of the 4 yellows landed. My buddy got another yellow for JP. Everyone went home with fillets on a beautiful day!

I just came back from the Freedom. I suck at fishing, just started up last year, i've only ever fishing creeks and lakes, freshwater species, and I'm from Long Beach, lol. Fishing these yellowtails and other saltwater species is fun and some great eating. Getting my practice in this year again, trying to get better at it.
Keep at it! You'll get there. Being out on the water is half the fun!

The boat got 4 for the trip. This was yesterday.

Yeah it was really nice to be on the water again! As for tackle keep things simple. 20lb setup 30lb setup 40 setup. Flyline, dropper loop, yo-yo setup. 👍

It was yesterday. We tried the best we could. The light loads help. Crew did a great job.

Is the boat taking body temperatures or making you sign a release and can you take a folding chair to sit outside and not in the galley?
@@n6yun We signed a waiver and folding chairs were allowed.
Went on that boat about a month ago, the skinny little cook on that boat is a real jerk. Almost makes you feel like you are bothering him being there to ask him for anything.

@@jigslingersfishingchannel3713 back home we hit them in the head soon as they are out of water, everywhere possible. A touch more human than letting them bleed while asphyxiating..
What happened to social distancing? That a big risk for a measly YT.
