Dude, when i inclouded you in my PB UA-camrs comparation video, you didn't even have 400 subs, now a year later you are among the biggest Planetball creators. Congrats!
I loved this video! Stars are one of my most favourite parts about the universe and their life cycle is so interesting! I loved the art style of this video! One of the best videos I’ve seen in a while about astronomy. Leaving a comment and a like for the algorithm! 🌟
Here's a graph of how stars work if you don't know Red dwarf > ??? > White dwarf Average sized star > red giant > white dwarf Massive star > super giant star Blue super Giant starts then yellow supergiant then red supergiant > supernova > there's two outcomes but I'm not telling you
all the stars would have died by then, that's why I didn't draw it with them in the background. Plus, black dwarfs aren't meant to actually be easily visible anyway
SOME MISTAKES I NOTICED: 3:23 - I thought that the Helium Fusion phase was the Red Clump phase, and when it increases in size again it because an AGB star, when it runs out of Helium to fuse. (What I mean is that the running out of Hydrogen phase is the Red Giant, and the fusing of Helium is the Red Clump phase. 1:49 - When the star forms and becomes a Protostar, it’s actually already massive enough to fuse Hydrogen into helium, it just dosen’t fuse yet. Why? Well, stars actually take some time to form the layers inside them, such as the radiative zone, including the core. Fusion does not take place immediately. (Then why was the sun radiating heat and was luminous enough? Well, the heat was coming from gravitational collapse, since stars were actually enormous but then shrunk.) Thats it! This video is 5 months old, and you don’t have to take this seriously, this is just from the wiki and Algol’s timelapse of the solar system video. So no worries :3 ❤
Atleast someone knows like me lol (I thought i was alone) It just makes me happy seeing a kid with many space knowdlege (just like me) and being one of the best planetball creators! sometimes your cute planet drawings make my day (Im not really a kid at all lol)
Edgar, type II supernovae don’t come from a lack of energy being produced by iron. They actually happen when the degenerate iron core exceeds the Chandrasekhar Limit and collapses (unrelated to iron’s ability to fuse).
Facts: K-type stars (Orange dwarves) Are too weak to fuse helium + M-types are too weak to fuse hydrogen but M-types up to 0.3 solar masses turn into a red giant.
Oh by the the way black dwarfs might be the saviors of the universe because they’d cold dense worlds have elements in them fuse but over a long time because one element has to go into quantum tunneling but after trillions of years the black dwarf will be gain to heat up causing it to explode which might give the universe its gas back resetting the beginning of star formation
Even higher mass stars (Higher then 25Sm) can go through an explosion even stronger then a supernova, these are called Hypernova’s which can be 10 - 100x more powerful then a supernova. These Hypernova’s can also produce gamma ray bursts aswell, after this, what remains is a black hole.
It would definitely be great to see the different life of larger stars that either become black holes or neutron stars. Similarly, a video solely about these two products of a massive star's death would be cool to see as well. Keep doing what you're doing, you're content is amazing!
0:29 BFDI reference I love it!
