Mr. B. Here ! 🍔☕️👀😎👍. Good to family involved in project ! The frame seal paint nice stuff . Nice job Ryan ! Don’t be sorry you are building a car it takes time to build it right ! 👍👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
Hey Ryan it's looking pretty fine! I think that the frame would look way better with a satin black top coat of paint and it would protect that por15, which a can break down with uv, well sunlight -it's happened to me, you know there's that saying 'friends don't let friends use por15!!'. how about wirebrush and maybe evaporust for the bolts and sandblast for the brackets etc.? For a non-mechanic, you're doing great! (and you're getting gooder at wrenching things!!)
I'm really surprised at all the frame welds you pointed out that are really poor. You would think factory welds would be a lot better than that. Frame looks amazing!
I told him a couple of vids ago the very same thing, any flux 200 would be fine, no gas, no muss no fuss.. I explained to him it’s way more easy then most people think absolutely. 💯
Just bought a new mig, i know how to weld yes, but when it comes to something like a frame, im gona trust a guy with 50+ yrs experience over myself lol
I saw on another channel a junkyard just over the Nevada border I’m California with 10,000 cars, all 1963 and before. The cars looked good. All desert climate cars. Are you interested Ryan?
@@IowaClassicCars They are. I just thought you might want to get your hands on rust free parts. 10,000 cars? I'd think it would be worth a trip or st least a call.
Hey Ryan. Just a thought that may help.. I myself have 2 rotisseries for doing this kinda work. I made one out of 2 engine stands for putting car frames on. The other rotisserie I bought from a guy that had used it and then dumped in his field. It's an old-school one.. but makes life easier when working on things
POR 15 should also be top coated. You probably don't get much sun under the car though, so it may be OK, UV will cause it to break down over time and fail according to their website.
I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL. PLEASE CONTINUE TO SHARE YOUR TRUTH!!!!
A TOTALLY AWSOME VIDEO RYAN!!!! I LOVE THE PROGRESS!!!!
Sometimes welding on a frame will open up a can of worms. You did a good job on your frame project, looks great!
Coming along nicely Ryan looking really good
Thanks John
Rame looks awesome bud I’m very much enjoying this series anyone thinking of restoring a 59 should definitely follow.
thanks Mel!

Some soapy water helps with installing those rubber blocks
Why didnt i think of that before lmao
great video Ryan, that frame is looking stellar! Looking forward to the next installment
Thanks! 👍
That POR job looks good! Nice job!
thanks!
Not too bad. Ryan, you just have to learn how to do it the right way and when you heat up something, you need a road Bud tip for your Torch.❤❤❤❤❤
rose bud
I have one, ill bust it out lol
Came to visit from '''Country Boy Gas Garage'''.
sweet thanks man
Excellent video Ryan :) also take time all need plus update videos too when can and turned out super you done!
Definitely!
Killer job!
Something I recommend for cleaning up rusty hardware is a vinegar soak. A few days and the rust just about washs right off?
Ill give it a try
SAVE THE CLASS OF 59!!!!
Hey Ryan A dab of dish soap helps to get the front bump stops in
Great idea
👍👍

Do you know how to weld? If not you should learn if you are going to continue doing youtube for a living. Very good skill to have

Can you link the video or channel? I may have seen it anyway but just curious

That's actually a bodyman mask for chemicals you should have a paint spray mask for the fumes
Interesting
You need to use soap when installing the rubber parts on the frame
Liquid soap or rubber grease on those bump stops would make it easier.
Great tip!
I'm from Minnesota do you know anyone that can paint and fix my 1964 Impala ..It was in a small accident ..The car was just restored from frame up
Mastercoat sealer far exceeds the quality of por-15 by a large margin.. do some research and you’ll definitely find out. 💯
Eh i like the results on both my 59s!

@@IowaClassicCars it’s the result’s down the road son.. everything looks good right after doing it. 😉💯
Why not sand blast they make different blast media, so it's not hard on the project
Nice video, but no sound
Rrtry it, it was processing. Mine works on my cell phone as im typing this
Works fine now. Thanks, Ryan.
Why don’t you do some Chevelles. There is a lot of them in salvage yards. You could make a lot of money off of them.
I need to contact you
