@hi-fri i’m considering jumping in this rabbit hole of learning and i’m pretty determined within the next year to learn how to make custom iems. i live in a very small town and could use a little advice or guidance along the way. if you wouldn’t mind could i email you with questions? All started because of learning to mold my own ear tips because nothing fits well.
... and if so, could you get it back together? lol destroyed one of mine while trying to clean it (one side went quieter and buzzy on certain low frequencies). they have the thinnest wire I've ever seen connecting these things (and I have repaired conventional buds and IEMs before). Anyway, out of warranty, so i picked up refurbs that thankfully look just like new. There's nothing else quite like them still.
So you like it more than HiFri? How did it sound to you? They are half price on the Audio Sense Ali store, and I'm looking for an all BA pair that's not too fancy to wear outdoors (like my Dunu SA6)
@@Grrrr3FKAGrrrrGrrrrGrrrr Dt600 has this "advisable impedance adapter mods" my previous dt600 came with a free 80ohm adapter, impedance adapters drastically change some parts of dt600's tuning. I don't like its stock warm tuning, but with 80 or 120ohm adapter, I easily fell in love with it (extended treble/more balanced)
@@ANOLE_VX I already have a few impedance adaptors, I find them useful for blocking hiss on my TV's headphone out, or using super sensitive earphones with gear that doesn't do low end volume adjustment well. I am looking for an IEM to use outdoors however, and sticking one of those things between the plug and my Bluetooth adapter would be kinda awkward.
That was an amazing stream. One of the most informative audio chanel I've ever went across! Thank you so much!
Indeed this man is a treasure!
He is become Death, the Destroyer of IEMs.
love that hammer time. It's oddly satisfying

What is this "E audio" ba manufacturer? Can't find them on google.
This is great. You have the ambition I lost so it's all good ;-)
Have you ever torn down the Sony linkbud (non-s)? Interesting ring driver.
