In Divergences of Darkness you can form Germany with Livonia… which gets Russian accepted. So you can get a Germany with all the German accepted pops as well as all the Russian pops accepted
thanks for this vid, i got curbstomped as japan and this video helps a lot 1: blockade them fully to make sure no tomfoolery is occuring regarding transports 2: make the front as small as possible (don't annex korea and try to take a state like shandong which has a tiny frontline 3: get a god general and pray that the AI sends in 100k troops instead of their whole army 4: bring infantry support (infantry takes most of the damage in battles, so you want reinforcement armies of JUST infantry, not artillery. 5: Bring 3/4 extra armies (4/1/5) to fill combat width. You want as much artillery as possible 6: pray they don't slam a stack into your second army filling out the frontline

Victoria 3 is a way better game, although I do miss the maneuvering of your own troops effectively. The economy of Victoria 2 was simplified to the point that losing money doesn’t seem to do anything bad lol. I really like the upgrade to Vic 3

So why go for all this stuff in Ukraine and elsewhere, instead of spending all your infamy on France early on? I know you were #1 GP and huge, but you would've been unbelievably more powerful much sooner by just gunning for your cores and accepted pops. At about 34:00. Your country is very fascist because you have a lot of revanchism for not owning your German cores.
Having all your cores means that you won't get jingoism quickly, I'm doing a Luxembourg campaing myself and I feel that the right time to start conquering france is when you have 50 division, normally they would be allied to the russian so that would be a good strat

Maybe I should do a second playtrought with Luxemburg, first time it's take much longer to gain independence, but finally I become Benelux Great power but I was to behind Prussia and France to get more accepted pops, like in my Hanover game ended with being destroyed by OP Austria.
Schleswig has North German accepted and can form Scandi, I think, that might be fun.
I'm pretty sure this Strat doesn't work. I tried it a while back and the best you can get out of it is forming Germany with Danish accepted.

I played Vic2 a lot and liked it, but now that I played Vic3 I see a lot of flaws in it.
