I want to make the jump but once tmo told me they will limit my bandwidth after x amount of data I lost all interest. I pay through the nose for cox internet but am not limited. I'm near 2tb a month as well. Have you had any issues?
i have full bars on my tmobile router i get about 570-600mb/s down and 25-38 up with 4 bars it was about 480 down same up. It is WAY faster than my at&t fiber internet we use 1tb+ a month always.
I received my tmobile home internet about a week ago and speeds are around 150 to 200 mbps. Working well so far but seems to really work well with the dual wan feature on my Asus router. That way i can assign certain devices to use my primary gigabit Ethernet connection and up to 16 other devices to use the home internet T Mobile connection. Really helps take the pressure off of the gig connection which helps out the overall speed on my network and probably reduces potential bottlenecks as well. Great video. 👍
I’ve had to T-Mobile for three months now no problem whatsoever I use a high-end router on it so I can do all the nice little features my other devices but my download speeds are continuously 600 to 800MB .I’ve had Xbox PS Netflix Amazon and Disney and HBO max all at the same time no issues
It does come with some issues, but nothing that cannot be solved. Not only that saving $95 a month compared to at&t. The speeds are twice as fast and the uploads are 7 times faster.
Hello do you think I can use a Low noise amplifier on my external antenna inputs? I have the 4x4 antenna are two of the antennas rx and the other two tx?
Got my Tmobile router 2 days ago and the signal is only 2 bars. The nearest tower is about 4 miles from me. I can't tolerate the low connection speed, the data rate averages about 55mbs. Sometimes I have seen 125mbs but it didn't last very long. Sometimes the rate is below 25mbs. The tech told me that speeds in the 60 to 90 meg range are acceptable to what they expect to see from a 5g connection. They can't tell me when or if they are going to have a tower installed near my house. I will probably have to return the router if I am unable to get speeds of near 150mbs. I want to stream live TV and run IP cameras and 60mbs is just not enough.
As soon as you start your video, you answer my 1st question, can I hook up a router? Great. Now my 2nd question is which mesh system is best? I want to be good to hook up my ring, alexa, and wireless devices to it. Your info is much appreciated
Great info. Do you know if you can assign multiple ip addresses with this mobile router or at least one for each of the 4 separate unique SSID that t-mobile home internet allows?
I had mine for 2 days and it works good so far, i put it on top of a laptop fan to keep it from getting hot. Seems to work cause I feel no heat. I watched reviews about it the first day I got it and a guy said it over heats so I stuck it on that fan to avoid any future damage
So, when you say that it's "overheating" do you mean that it stops working after getting hot, Or does it just get warm? Also, are you using a router with this or are all of you devices connected by WIFI or Ethernet?
@@Triple_M I felt it getting warm but I only had phone connected to it and as I was setting it I was watching tips and tricks and reviews on it and first thing I seen was people complaining about it overheating and stop working or connection slowing down so I immediately just put it on laptop fan to avoid any future damage before I start connecting more things because I was only running on the Wi-Fi on it with one device at the moment. But so far ever since I put the laptop fan underneath it I don't even feel the heat coming from it anymore even with more devices connected to it, but I have all my devices connected to the Wi-Fi of it. I'll do more testing connecting more things to it probably tomorrow because that's when I'm off I really haven't had too much time to mess with it cuz I've been working
@@rival989 Okay... I was asking because if you watch my 5 month follow up, I had my entire house running off the T-Mobile internet, and It is in a place with very poor air circulation, but I haven't really had any issues with overheating. I was thinking that your issue may be because of how may wifi devices you have connected to your device. 5 month follow up video - ua-cam.com/video/jf71KV23BnM/v-deo.html
It will be fine except for it only receives weak signal only two bars which is marginal. May return it but really wanted to cut the cable. If they strengthen their antenna soon all issues might be resolved. Their coverage map really overstates their coverage
One other thing you need to know about on that modem cooling fan issue you place it in the spot where the sun's beating down on it a little overheat and malfunction I have to keep a fan directly at the modem at all times for it to work
I have Xfinity prepaid internet now and have already had two Wi-Fi boxes burn out on me so I'm looking to upgrade because I don't want to order box number 3. I usually keep my Xbox One X plugged in directly to the ethernet port will this work the same way?
So I can run vpn through the router instead of hotspot on my phone? I can't play elden ring co-op because my nat type is 3 instead of 2 so I was going to buy a VPN to bypass it but idk how to run it through the router instead of the phone hotspot
By the way, T-Mobile just had a data breach. About 100 million customers data available on the dark web. Social security numbers, Driver Licenses, home addresses, emails…thanks T-Mobile!
Where I live 5 g is not available to me. T mobile sent me a 4g modem saying the 5g is out of stock until sometime in October. The 4g gave me a speed of 0.10 Mbps. I could not even open my email. It just buffered and could not watch any video. I ended up returning it.
I have 4 bars and i average 145-268+ and the person who talked to us said we would have full 5 bars and no lag our we’ve tried everything idk how to fix the issue
Wow .. what I wouldn't get for 4 bars and 145-268!! I get 2 bars and about 13 mbps download no matter where I place it in the house and the nearest tower is only about 2.5 miles away from me!
I can't connect my t mobile internet on my PS4 device to watch on my TV. I turned off my wifi and saw that when I left my data on, it said no connection on UA-cam. And before that, my phone said 4G even though it's 5G compatible. So I suppose something is going on with T MOBILE.
@@Triple_M I can not. I have previously been able to connect my phone-- which was financed from T-Mobile but now the option for my WiFi's name does not pop up.
Sadly you can't from my understanding. I've been looking into it for a week now and haven't found a solution if there is one. I miss being able to party up with friends on R6 Siege. Can I use it to work from home ? That requires a vpn connection?
How do you get around double NAT connecting your own router?

Shoot......be glad you're getting those speeds. With 4 bars I think I'm topping out at 60MBPS. It's a damn joke even for $50 a month
Is the T-Mobile set up compatible for use with an Obihai/Google Voice VOIP set up?
So plex works even though you don't have a static IP ?
not reall, severly hobbled. Plex will need to use relay mode which means a maximum stream of 1kbps or 2kbps with a plex pass.
Can this work in a house with Comcast service?
It’s independent so I don’t see why not.
No port forwarding is no go for me.
thanks this was really helpful
