- Laser 200 inline engine. 20x8 APC propeller and 5% nitro 7% oil fuel.
At some points on the video the engine shakes about. This is due to the mount and not the engine itself. Our test stand needs an upgrade!
Pleased to say I`ve just ordered one of Jon`s new 160 flat twins to be used in my bigger models ie a Seagull Jungmeister, an old but sound Pacific Aeromodels Gee Bee and also a Seagull Stearman. In time and when finances allow, I might order another two!
Brilliant work Jon. Thanks.
Mike
A 300ti would have SO many applications, hope you consider producing something like that 👌👍
Great Engine.
A twin with opposing cylinders would be interesting as well.
A larger inline (60cc?) and a radial (90cc?) are my next targets when time permits. We need to get this engine finished and on the market, as well as improve supply on the existing range. Development of our petrol engine also needs to be completed so there is no shortage of things to do.
Laser Engines = State of The Art 👍👍👍🌷
We try!
wow!! great inline twin 💪💪
Look great John, I hope he will come in production soon and you are able to make a lot of these art works for the enthousiastic engine lovers and pilots because flying rc with a lipo is the same as making love with a doll.
Yo Jon! What is this new beast! Like it man I'll av to come down n see you guys soon been ages m8.
Brad
Oh my gawd! What an engine this is!
Yay a new motor and a new video!
I want to shoot more video's its very time consuming to do properly. if you dont mind no editing or fancy intro's and hand shot stuff then its much easier.
@@LaserEnginesAGC I would only downvote for horrible music in the background lol.
@@LaserEnginesAGC don't worry about movie cosmetics. It ain't Hollywood.
I love this John! I would imagine this might be perfect in a Brian Taylor Spitfire. Definitely following with interest.
amazing!
Ohh, now that would be nice in a 2m Spitfire,, I don't suppose a petrol one will be available ?, keep us posted on it's availability,,
Just a thought, maybe the front silencer could be put on an extension to let a bit more cooling air to reach the rear cylinder.
Rear cylinder cooling is not impacted by the silencer as the cooling air will be ducted in from the side when installed in a model. A new exhaust is being considered but more for looks than anything else.
@@LaserEnginesAGC Thanks Jon, I got your email answer. so wait and see, keep us posted when it comes out, thanks Paul
This is awesome. I have saito 200ti,s which are similar. Is this a even fire at 360 degrees??
I’d be really keen on buying one if u get them done.
Yea there really needs to be more inlines in the 60cc range, I can only think of 1
Yes the engine is even fire and we will be selling them through the year as development engines. Please see the development section of the website for more info on that. According to the info i have our 200 is significantly more powerful than the saito example but i have not been able to test them back to back. A 60cc version is something i hope to offer in the future.
@@LaserEnginesAGC oh yea if that’s turning a 20 by 8 like the saito wouldn’t have a shy show. It works best on a 16x10.
I’ll email you.
Thanks for the reply
@@matchett100 16x10 is the smallest prop i would recommend for ours, and even then 17x8 would probably be better choice unless you want real speed. Even so, 18x8-10, 19x8, 20x6-8, 21x6 and 22x6 are likely to be the range the engine can cope with, although the 22x6 will require a little care as it would technically be a bit of an overload.
These are beautiful engines in every aspect. However with the consistent move away from glow I'm kind of surprised development is still focused away from gas powered engines. Despite the popularity of electric options now available, the gas engine market is probably still the leader for larger models.
For large models i agree but in the 30cc class its still up for grabs. This engine uses 5% nitro fuel with only 7% oil so is very much cleaner and more economical than a typical glow engine running 20% oil. We have also seen a number of customers come back to glow due to its simplicity, quieter engines, and in many cases, better reliability. Its also not uncommon for the lady of the house to complain about the smell of petrol so that may also be a factor!
So this is 35cc total? And any progress on the 180 gas John? Great work on the in-line, encouraging to see 👍🏻
32.4cc. The petrol is firmly on the back burner as this is more interesting!
next step a triple ?.
It might be a bit long!
