A New Island in Florida Created By Hurricane Ian

Hurricane Ian hit southwest Florida on September 28th, 2023. This video was just about 6 months after that.
This is a look at Big Hickory Island, just north of Bonita Springs, Florida and south of Fort Myers.
Hurricane Ian has cut Big Hickory Island into two islands, creating a new island!
UPDATE: This new cut has since been filled in and closed. The Hyatt did that I believe, they own the land on the north end for their beach club. I'm a little upset they did that, it was such a beautiful tidal creek.
