FreshSafe PET Plasmax coating technology from KHS combines the benefits of glass and PET bottles by covering the insides of PET bottles with a flexible, wafer-thin layer of glass that retains the beverage’s original freshness. This is why VILSA has opted for the KHS InnoPET FreshSafe block that combines a stretch blow molder with a coating machine and, thanks to the latest further developments, now has a nominal capacity of up to 48,000 bottles per hour. With the help of the Plasmax coating, VILSA’s high-quality beverages are reliably protected against external influences and their shelf life is considerably extended. A further convincing argument is that the PET bottles can be fully reused in the bottle-to-bottle recycling process.
