Well honestly. .. FSDL have promoted football in a huge way in 🇮🇳, no doubt. But the fact that they’re trying to make the ISL the Prem of India, is just not acceptable. One has to look at the history and prestige of the I-League. We’ve lost the Durand Cup, Fed Cup and on the verge of losing the Santosh Trophy too. We cannot lose the name of the I-League. But on the other hand, the stand of the ISL franchises is also very understandable. They’ve paid huge sums of money for the past 5 years but I feel, they need to let it go if they want to develop the game in the country.

First of all, very informative introductory video to anyone new to Indian football! 👍 I do not think, unified league can happen as, I-league clubs can not afford that much of money. I think, AIFF should provide some kind of 'concession' to I-League clubs just to get them into unified league structure. Then, there should strategies placed that would help I-League clubs get sponsorship (hopefully, big I-league club would get deals because of their legacy n fans)
Great job with this channel!!! I really got interested in Indian football from the time ISL started and my city got a football team. Can I request you to please speak at a little slower pace. I look forward to more videos. Cheers!
I think you should be an anchor to all the football talk shows which telecasted in India as you have much knowledge and passion for the game and most of them who are currently on the show can't even pronounce the name of the clubs and players, especially the guy on UCL pre match show looks like an idiot even the pundits think who gave this guy job. I hope one day I'll watch you on UCL pre match show. As per today's situation Indian football need FSDL as they have great strategy for marketing and they specially have huge sponsor (Money) support. Note - I am not new football fan, I am following Indian football from 2010.
The same thing happened during starting of IPL, as of cricket is concerned. It was started as rival competition to another T20 league happening in the country, but with larger stars and big marketing companies involved. So the game got more audience and India is now a prime country in Cricket. AIFF Should learn from BCCI and should go for unified league and get the I- LEAGUE clubs more audience. The biggest loss if I-league is tempered would be Indian Arrows, it is a backbone of Indian Football also the best thing that can happen to Indian Football, which is evident by recent singings of Indian arrow players by ISL clubs , apart from that I am in favour of making I-league a second division league and ISL as official league with 15+ teams
Hi, really liked your video and presentation on the matter. I have been following Indian football since my childhood and really enjoyed watching matches in Goa of legendary clubs like Dempo, Sporting, Churchill and Salgaonkars in the NFL and latter on the I-League. One thing to note is that till today, the I-League is almost free for a spectator to go and watch which is why i feel the I-league clubs have lost revenue which they could have used to spend on marketing. ISL tickets are quite expensive specially in Goa and I have seen seats starting to be empty for FC Goa matches as people are getting weary of the high cost for tickets. IPL which is also franchise based tournament is controlled by the BCCI unlike ISL which is controlled by FSDL/Reliance and not by AIFF. The joy of football is not only about winning a league but also about surviving relegation. (That is why all matches in closing stages of EPL and other European Leagues are exciting unlike ISL/MLS) The AIFF for 46cr/yr (700cr for 15 yrs) have literally become a puppet of FSDL and that is the main problem. FSDL earns a minimum of 13cr/yr/team i.e. 130crs apart from the sponsorship deals and gives back 80% of the sponsorship money to the franchises. And are they even making efforts to promote the I-League as it is their duty as marketing partners? Last season FSDL curtailed telecast of I-league matches which were more exciting than the ISL. This will always happen as FSDL has a benefit from ISL succeeding and I-League failing. I fully support that the marketing and money was required by the AIFF but they could have (and can) easily ask FSDL to get the ISL teams to play in the I-League and promote the I-League. The I-League had corporate teams that had 5 year relegation immunity, the same could be extended to the ISL teams having contracts of 10 years since they have already completed 5 years in the ISL. The I-League clubs currently playing should also accept that ISL clubs are more professionally run and should embrace the necessary regulations leaving behind their egos. ISL was started because the clubs were never fulfilling criteria set by AFC/AIFF in the past. A 2 year window should be given to all clubs participating (including those being promoted from lower division) to meet the criteria followed by the ISL clubs else they should not be allowed to participate in the I-League from 2021-22 season (Even EPL and UEFA have criteria to be fulfilled by clubs for participating in theirs tournaments). As a compromise to the loss FSDL will make in profits due to closure of the ISL, give 20% of the revenue generated by the I-League through central sponsorship's to the FSDL as a fee for promoting the I-League and 10% to AIFF with the remaining 70% distributed among the teams following EPL model where even relegated teams get revenue for 1-2 yrs after relegation to avoid going bankrupt. We have lost many teams in the past due to unprofessional approach by the clubs and step-motherly treatment by the AIFF and I hope there is a positive change.
I honestly think we just need india to make it past the group stage of a big tournament which they should’ve done in the afc cup. They also need 1 player to be in a top league outside of india whether this is in Europe or in America or anywhere else to make the game for appealing to youngsters and normal citizens.

I think the i-league and ISL must merge as one with twenty strong team like in most of Europe if we are to improve and more playing time.. it doesn't matter if we have 10 teams in 2nd tier that'll be more competitive again.
I blame praful Patel for all this confusion we need some one like jagmohan dalmia or Lalit Modi to transform football like cricket in this country ruling party of India should take interest in football.
isl should be top flight of indian football...it has everything what needs to be a top league no doubt but lacks in fan following few more clubs/franchises should be added like east bengal and mohun bagan...and from other state like gujrat, uttarakhand, andhara p. etc to make it a 14 team affair and i league is good as a 2nd div. league...it will provide platform to rookie players to prove themselves...if they prove themselves then they will get a chance to play in isl alongside with top players and coaches and with better facilities to enhance their footballing skills...and to get national team call up!!...that's how indian football structure would be!!!...both i league and isl are compliment to each other and both are required for the growth of indian football!!!...also more clubs should be added to isl/i league.....let this beautiful game to spread all over india...not just in few states!!!
In the United States there is MLS And USL Major League Soccer United Soccer League And There is the US Open Cup There is more than just those two leagues
I don't think without investment from FSDL Football is going to grow at a progressive rate.. Regarding the league issue I think AIFF should make the ISL a proper league system with at least 12 teams in it and I league to be the nd division league in India
@@SuperpowerFootball No Not at all ,a time limit of at least 2 yrs should be given to all the I-league clubs for the development of their infrastructure to be capable of hosting an ISL game, till that time ISL Should be a closed league but after that it will be an open league with relegation system with 15 teams each in ISL and I league
Please make a unified league it's really confusing Indian football I watch premier league and decided to watch Indian football ... My home place has 2 clubs Chennai city FC and chennaiyan FC it's really hard to follow the tournament with 2 league
I think Indian football will flourish in the next ten years, but we have to be in unity, i see cricket falling down, and hopefully it does, I want the Brazil of Asia to rise again
Only meetings , planning and paper work is done. Nothing is done for the development of football ⚽️ in India. India is far behind in football. Bangladesh and Afghanistan is holding us to a draw and decades have passed since we started projects to change Indian football. At ground level nothing is being done only bad commercialization of football is being done.
We need promotion & relegation system in our football like in italy they serie a which is the top division & lower divisons such as serie b then serie c & serie d we need something of that sort
The major reason for i league clubs like East Bengal and mohon Bagan not paying that amount is because these legacy clubs will bring with them a huge amount of fan base into the league which will increase its viewership in turn increasing their profit which is running into loss now. When you will be benefited anyway from inclusion of these major clubs then why ask them for such a huge amount
It's now about power struggle and money for ISL. Before it was about promoting football in India. Money making everywhere. I love ISL. It's a Tournament like IPL. It's not a proper league. It's like test match vs IPL.
Dear Ankush, simply the number of views that your videos get scares me that some day this may stop. It will be dreadful , as yours is the only platform where Indian football fans get to know so much about the game in this country and your presentations are beautiful. I really hope you can keep this going ... Also please do some extensive reporting on i league clubs, perhaps you can make seperate episodes about all the i leagues clubs, fans should really know about the I league clubs. Your channel is the only one at the moment at national level which spread a little awareness about I league clubs
First this ISL and I League fans have to stay together and demand for a better decision, fighting will not help it. If we want a unified league the big problem is financial constrains of I league clubs, so this may sound idiotic, may be ISL clubs and AIFF could help them find investors, Reliance should also use their business relations outside India for this if they really consider growth of Indian football.
Isl should be the main league of india because only after the arrival of isl people have involved in football and its popularity has increased which i league was not able to do
i don't think a private body should govern a national league but since its all about financials therefore a convincing solution should come out for the betterment of the sport

isl should be top flight of indian football...it has everything what needs to be a top league no doubt but lacks in fan following few more clubs/franchises should be added like east bengal and mohun bagan...and from other state like gujrat, uttarakhand, andhara p. etc to make it a 14 team affair and i league is good as a 2nd div. league...it will provide platform to rookie players to prove themselves...if they prove themselves then they will get a chance to play in isl alongside with top players and coaches and with better facilities to enhance their footballing skills...and to get national team call up!!...that's how indian football structure would be!!!...both i league and isl are compliment to each other and both are required for the growth of indian football!!!...also more clubs should be added to isl/i league.....let this beautiful game to spread all over india...not just in few states!!!
Excellent explanation 👌👌👌
Bro Indian football ko India me popular Karna hoga ☺️⚽💪🇮🇳💙✊ Keep video uploading about Indian football 🇮🇳
What is the last date to announce the league system in india which is time given by AFC
In the United States there is MLS
And USL
Major League Soccer
United Soccer League
And There is the US Open Cup
There is more than just those two leagues
Now East Bengal and Mohun Bagan are Both playing in ISL 😂😂
Perhaps Prafull patel took money from BCCI. Bcz growing popularity of football in India becomes a threat to Cricket.
I don't think without investment from FSDL Football is going to grow at a progressive rate.. Regarding the league issue I think AIFF should make the ISL a proper league system with at least 12 teams in it and I league to be the nd division league in India
But do you agree with the ISL being a closed league without promotion and relegation?
@@SuperpowerFootball No Not at all ,a time limit of at least 2 yrs should be given to all the I-league clubs for the development of their infrastructure to be capable of hosting an ISL game, till that time ISL Should be a closed league but after that it will be an open league with relegation system with 15 teams each in ISL and I league
Football clubs owned by cricket players - that's the worst thing to watch in isl.
Its franchise based league anybody can become a owner
Please make a unified league it's really confusing Indian football I watch premier league and decided to watch Indian football ... My home place has 2 clubs Chennai city FC and chennaiyan FC it's really hard to follow the tournament with 2 league
RUN THE HASHTAG #REMOVEPRAFULPATEL
There is one league and one knockout tournament in India. But league teams don't play knockout and vice versa.
Great video bro 🙂🙂🙂🙂
♥️
All leagues should be merged
I think Indian football will flourish in the next ten years, but we have to be in unity, i see cricket falling down, and hopefully it does, I want the Brazil of Asia to rise again
I like ur approach

@@OkayAnkush Keep up with the good work man!
Keep music low *
We need promotion & relegation system in our football like in italy they serie a which is the top division & lower divisons such as serie b then serie c & serie d we need something of that sort
The major reason for i league clubs like East Bengal and mohon Bagan not paying that amount is because these legacy clubs will bring with them a huge amount of fan base into the league which will increase its viewership in turn increasing their profit which is running into loss now. When you will be benefited anyway from inclusion of these major clubs then why ask them for such a huge amount
AVOID FRANCHISE FEE AND BRING IN PROMOTION AND RELEGATION

#OneIndiaOneLeague
Now all the players of isl are there in Indian National Team.
First there should be no govt football org ..it should be private beacause govt is slow and corrupt and can't get things done
Hope for a merger
Star Sports will call u soon bro
Anonymous aaa he's Half Volley is on Hotstar App, go and check out
It's now about power struggle and money for ISL.
Hopefully, it will grow someday Koustav. Fingers crossed. And thanks for the suggestion!
@@OkayAnkush thats what we all are doing , keeping our fingers crossed... wish you all the very best for your future.
Brother can you please slow your speaking speed bit.. Please..
One nation one league
Sbi isl players ileague ka part to honge he ... phle india mei koi or league he kha ti
We want football !!! No more over hyped game(cricket)....#footballforlife.
Same in Brazil , Brazil need rugby no more football
