I'm about to get one vintage saddle bag like the one you did not showed on this video but I don't have good feelings about the authenticity of the one I'm getting. I would like to know if you could share some information about your silver hardware saddle bag tag. Is it heat or silver stamped? What's in the tag front and back? Thanks in advance.
Hi. I actually sold my saddlebag with the silver hardware. But when I get home I can let you know what’s on the front and back of the tag/hardware of the burgundy one. Also thanks for watching💕
Christian Dior Paris should be on the front of tag inside bag and RU with four serial numbers. Also go on fashionphile to visualize what I am talking about. The hardware can be tricky so pay close attention to the back of the CD logo on the real bag on fashionphile vs the ones where you are looking. Fakes may have 2 random screws on the piece that connects the C and the D. The font on the Vintage Trotter bags will look different than the new version so if it looks too new then beware. Lastly the hardware on the vintage bags is pretty shiny as opposed to a dull aged gold or silver color.
@@taylorcobb425 This is going to be complicated. I've been doing so much research on this matter. Saddle bag is the one that I always wanted to have the most. The one that I got looks really good. The stitches look great to my eyes, the leather in the strap and the line that goes all the way looks well executed. It also smells like leather. The hardware seems to be correct and even the engraved letters look accurate to what I've seen in different websites and I what you said. The only thing that is freaking me out is the tag because it is not heated stamped and does not have the dashes separating letters/numbers. But they are centered and without sign of blur or distorted.
@@equilibrio awe I understand. But you will get better at it as your luxe habits progress lol. Also The RU doesn’t have a dash btw so that’s good. And you can always have it authenticated too💜💕another’s thing is if you go on fashionphile to get a quote to see how much they will give you for your bag would work too. If it’s fake I’m sure they won’t make you an offer or they will at least tell you why they won’t accept it.

Those are a few things that i look for when I’m on the hunt. I’m not an authenticator but I hope that helps💜
