Yes, she is great for F2P and new players too, because you will have a strong team guaranteed to clear one side of the abyss and you can focus on building crit characters in your other team. before her I was really struggling with building 2 teams that need high investment and now I just focus all on my resources on the crit team (and my Nilou team is still stronger, LOL)
@@AliagaAyin i wouldn't say its guaranteed to clear one side - the team is very easy to stonewall from a single elemental shield (cryo mostly, hydro to a lesser degree) on one side
@@JM-nothing-more Abyss never counter the same element on both side, so she will be fine. Blooms still deal dmg to cryo shield without needing to trigger reaction. Basically nilou team can break any element shield
@@hachiaya8636 thanks to the abyss herald nerf it is possible .. but is it faster than other teams .. not really .. I mean you can say the same thing about Xiao , Wanderer , Itto and Noelle who both can break the shield thanks to swirl and crystallize ..but it's way slower ..
@@DefinitelyNotAFerret I think, current 4 archons can deal with the second half. Maybe 12-2 will be a challenge since those knights don't want you to use a shield, but the only heal you might have is a Prototype Amber for Nahida. Maybe Venti's ult might help with them,not sure. Also on Venut it's quite important for Raiden to bring an anemo unit for resistance shred,so Venti here is a plus.

I got Nilou on a whim when she released, just because she's cute and I'd accidentally gotten Key. I haven't had any regrets because her Bloom teams are just so strong and easy. I was struggling with Maguu Kenki last Abyss, nothing was working, until I decided to throw Nilou Bloom at him, even though she's much better at AOE... she wiped the floor with him, and much faster than anticipated, too. When she works, she works extremely well. And she can tank Maguu Kenki's attacks too, if necessary! She also allows me to play on-field Kokomi, which is nice because I love Kokomi's NA. I don't think she's a must-pull, but... Nilou is very cute and her best team is dead simple, which I personally appreciate.
Nilou team is so good and cheap to build. Just max her out to 90, focus on the dreaded HP% stats with a bit of EM here and there, you're good to go! Also, Nahida is not required with Nilou, her damage without Nahida is still strong so dont be obligated to run them together. However, it is mostly recommended due to Nahida's E acting as the "grouping" in the team

As an average Nilou enjoyer, I wish luck to anyone ready to grab her. Openworld or dungeons, I brought her everywhere. She has virtually very few specific bad matchups (cryo shields are the bane of my existence) and as Sevy said, that feeling when your screen fills up with green grenades is soooo good This time around, I will go for her Signature weapon alongside Nahida's (a perfect weapon banner for me) then ofc Kaveh and Baizhu
I reluctantly skipped her when she came out but was determined to get her on her rerun, which is now! I think her attacks and sound effects are gorgeous and I’m really looking forward to adding her to my team
2:18 It's actually much more likely that your hydro units will trigger blooms, so your non-Nilou hydro unit is the one who is most important to focus on EM. Hydro on Dendro bloom is the reverse reaction, so it uses half of the aura placed on your enemy, meaning if everything is getting thrown onto the enemy at the same time, dendro is going to stick on your opponent as aura. This also should be the goal that you aim for in your bloom teams; putting dendro on your target first and adding hydro to it 2nd will generally result in more total blooms and thus, more damage.
I missed her last banner, i would never let her get away again. I see a restrictive team building around her as a challenge and a chance to try new reactionss. I already built 5 teams that are abyss ready which mostly composed of vape, superconduct, electrocharged, aggravate/quicken. Looking forward to using a full bloom team

Nilou’s trailer was the reason I started playing Genshin back in October. I just lost my 50/50 on Ayaka’s banner so I’m guaranteed and I can’t wait to finally get her!! 💙💚🥳
I've been using Nilou since her release, her bloom playstyle is so fun, and I'm glad that she has more teammates to use now. I'll be pulling for Kaveh and Baizhu just for more options to use with her and I feel with Fontaine we'll get even more hydro units to use with her
Nilou bloom (nuke) team is extremely strong. Pulled for her for waifu but her team just became one of my best lineups for abyss. One of the best investments for end game imo.

Even early f2p have already a well fleshed out roster where its already a good idea to go towards niche characters and Nilou are one of those low investment high impact characters (if you actually tried her)
I knew from the first leaks of Sumeru that I was pulling for her, and when her kit dropped everyone made fun of me (kokomi was the character that made me want to play the game so I'm used to people making fun of my pull choices) But just like Kokomi, I immediately fell in love with her and I've used her to full clear abyss since her release. With the new set I am so excited because it will make her on-field viable.
She's the most powerful character of all my 5 stars. Her bountiful bloom combined with a character triggering them in full EM Gilded Dreams does massive amounts of damage.
@@ginger2114 having at least 150 EM on trigger characters is recommended. Depends on the characters, you don't wanna use EM builds on characters like Yelan and Xingqiu, so having an Instructor buffer is recommended.
@@ginger2114 no, it’s not necessary. you would typically use double hydro double dendro. the reactor is typically the one to have the most em as they are procking the blooms. Nilou should stack as much hp as possible, then you have a dendro character (preferably traveller) with er and 4 piece instructors, then you would preferably have nahida who has high em and er (em for team wide em share) and then lastly your hydro applicator and bloom reactor with as much em as possible (best would be kokomi. rotation would be: nilou E ring>Traveller e>traveller ult (procking instructors 4 piece)> nahida hold e>nahida ult> swap to hydro applicator (barbara/kokomi) and proc blooms! with max stats on each character you’ll easily get 30k+ blooms
I love Nilou. Im so ready to spend so much money on her and her weapon. Her design is stunning and her playstyle, animation and overall just everything about her is so graceful and elegant. I cannot wait for her banner I love her dearly.
Mona is really good with Nilou :) specially because of her skill and sprint. Her skill has "crowd control" as it attracts enemies allowing her to generate the cores from afar and not take that much dmg, and if you keep clicking her sprint close to the enemies you'll be dodging most of the cores dmg and appling hydro. Plus, her burst increases the dmg taken by the enemy, it works for Bloom dmg as well ! I really like their team.
very niche in terms of teambuilding, but said team is so insane that it can be put against quite a variety of situations and do very well while future hydro units may come in fontaine we already have the perfect pair with Kokomi which provides both hydro application and healing (put sac fragments on her) and ofc Nahida would be hard to top, dendro resonance is a nice bonus so i feel the best bet to improve the team is a second dendro unit with good synergy, currently running yaoyao in that last slot but her dendro application is pretty meh and you don't really need the extra healing if you have kokomi already. best part is, none of the units above actually need to be on field so more options are open
Been using nilou team since her release. Yaoyao really complete her team. Nahida-Nilou-Xingqiu-Yaoyao, its just ridiculously strong even at c0 and 4 star weapon.
@@forygamesu217 I'm using the same team so in my experience, there isn't really an "onfield" character. Everything just boils down to using your cooldowns and swapping all the time. Of course, in an ideal situation, Nahida on field would be best because she probably has the most em and will therefore proc the most damaging bountiful cores, however, you wouldn't really get too much time to use her auto attacks because either you'll be dying from the blooms/enemies or just refreshing everyone's skills.
@@forygamesu217 yes, for bountiful core to work at best, u need dendro driver to be on field to trigger the trikarma with xingqiu rain sword. My playstyle is Nahida E, Nilou EEEE, Xingqiu EQE, Yaoyao E, then back to nahida as on field driver. Once her hp drop to like 30%, swap to yaoyao and use her burst (important to have her burst ready every rotation), that 5 sec window deal tons of damage while healing everyone, 50k nilou HP easy peasy. Then u repeat again with nilou. Its best to timing everything based on xingqiu rain sword. That 18 second duration should be the max on field of nahida and yaoyao, so nahida will get like 10-12s, and yaoyao 5-6s. 1. Nilou should focus everything with HP stat and favonius sword to battery xingqiu. 2. Xingqiu need to use full EM build here, his energy can be solve with sac sword. His rain shield helps alot in reducing bloom damage. Thats why i prefer him than yelan 3. Yaoyao need to focus on ER and HP. In term of area of effect comp with level of investment, these are the best yet for me.
@@ForteFaiey with c0 yaoyao i can reach 30k+. You dont need too much HP on her since she already heal alot. Use ER sand and favonius lance (u need some CR in substat). HP circlet. EM on yaoyao is not important. Its xingqiu rain sword that mostly will trigger the core so EM will be based on xingqiu stat, i try it and got consistent damage around 33k per bloom (instant explosion).

As soon as Nilou became paired with the likes of Nahida and Yao Yao, I think her damage was good enough to the point where if Hoyoverse released a new Dendro or Hydro character, it would still be paired (Baizhu likely)

got her since release. REALLY satisfying playstyle and very f2p friendly. its not everyones cup of tea but her niche playstyle in itself is another form of diversity when it comes to current go to gameplay which is vaping freezing and quickbloom etc. one of my fave about it is that i feel like im playing the whole team instead of the usual buff/burst swap and then dps ch. have her at c0 r0 and no nahida but always going strong during my abyss runs

I'm definitely getting her this time, Focalors and her will be best buds in the future I'm betting. Her weapon would probably be good on Focalors too if she scales with HP.
I decided I was pulling for her since I saw her design haha Couldn't be happier, I also have her weapon and considering going for a constellation. Also her role in the archon quest just made me more happy
Admittedly, my Nilou team with Nahida, Kokomi, and the Key may be more luxurious than that of most f2p players, but man is it fun. Yes, she is incredibly niche but wow. That niche is strong. Nothing in genshin has been as fun for me as watching my screen and all the enemies explode. Like genuinely to me this is the most fun team in the game. Side note: if you're a bit unhinged and have a Nilou with the Key, she can actually kind of work as a second hydro in a double hydro Hu Tao team! (Not having xingqiu in that half really took a toll on me)
I can't deny that I pulled for Nilou under influence of all the hype that was spread before her release. But her team, especially since I managed to snatch Nahida too, was about the most fun I have ever had in the game. I have absolutely no regrets, she was definitely worth it, despite the fact that I have neither her nor Nahida's signature weapon and have used them together with pure heal Barbara and DMC on Gladiator set. That team is a monster shredder that can plow through its half of the Abyss with zero issues and I use it every time since then. I can't imagine how much better it could get if I had the resources to build them better. Also to be honest, Nilou's niche does not really feel significantly smaller than niches of some other characters like Ayaka freeze, Melt Ganyu, or Vape Hu Tao. All of these highly regarded teams can be pretty restrictive on which teammates you can use to be effective.
As an original nilou haver who played her for a bit with her signature weapon, I’ve found I prefer playing nilou vape or mono hydro over nilou bloom, mostly because of the greater flexibility with team comping around her. It would have been interesting if her passive was worded as “if your team does not possess characters whose elements can react with bloom cores (ie pyro and electro), then nilou’s bountiful cores can activate.” That would make team building options more flexible with options for cryo fridge teams, anemo grouping of enemies and cores, geo shielding, etc. I do want to try nilou bloom again soon with Yao Yao being added and also kaveh coming in the future being on field dendro bloom focused!
That would be a weird restriction anyway, coz her seeds only stay for like 0.5 seconds before they explode immediately. No burgeon or hyperbloom would trigger at all.
@@blazingdragonwolf6771 yea, I don’t think it would actually written that way, I was mostly just getting at the point that it would be nice to not be as restricted to only hydro/dendro characters while still being bountiful/bloom core focused and not hyperbloom or burgeon. From a design standpoint I understand the intention of opportunity cost and wanting to not make Nilou OP, but I think only hydro/dendro team comps are a bit oppressive, albeit it is much less oppressive now with more dendro characters to fill supportive roles :)
Nilou is an insane character and is 100% worth getting imo. She doesn't require a ton of investment which makes her super accessible. The biggest investment is just acquiring Key of Khaj-Nisut. I love her and she legit feels like cheating
I feel like investment in nilou is less artifacts and more characters. You need characters to make her teams. So even an f2p nilou can be hard to properly get like Candace+Yaoyao. Tho she is very low investment in every area!

I got Nilou on release and played her with DMC Collei and Kokomi and had a ton of fun. But then Nahida comes out and not only does she slot into the comp, Nahida's large dendro application opened up triple hydro variants of the comp. YaoYao allowed for C6 Candace to shine. While I personally don't think Baizhu or Kaveh will find a home in Nilou comps, the potential will always be there whenever new dendro or hydro units release. Plus you have all of the other team comps that come with getting a new character. Alhaitham can be slotted in bloom but he can also drive his own dedicated spread team. Or have high personal damage as he drives hyperbloom. Kokomi in Nilou but also Sukokomon. The list will go on and it's a great thing for the player
Agreed she is a great character but not everyone like her restrictions. I myself love nilou personality and design but don't like her restrictions. I have all dendro besides alhaitham and xingqiu Barbara yealn. But I just don't like her self bloom and I'm not going to change nahida off of my hyperbloom team so I rather save for kazuha,alhaitham and hydro archon rather than her

As someone who has regularly used Nilou (with Nahida, Kokomi, and Dendro Traveler), if you want to pull for her, her niche nature means you have to be ready to build an entire team around her given that you only have Dendro and Hydro choose from. Also keep in mind you need a healer. Getting 700 dmg to you once may seem small, but repeat that dozens of times and you're gonna be in a lot of trouble. Another thing to keep in mind is that it sometimes can also be tricky to maintain Dendro and Hydro auras on enemies if they're spread out, so ideally you have someone who can hit enemies from a distance to fill in any gaps in the elemental application. But overall, once you remember to refresh the bountiful core effect regularly and you can maintain elemental application, it's basically a brain shut off team. And just a side note, I pulled for Nilou somewhat taking a risk on her viability by gambling on Nahida fitting well with her. New wanters might have the benefit of past testing for her, but be sure to make full use of her test run domain and trying out bloom reactions on your own first if it's something for you.
@@nguoisaohoa6410 Nah, Nahida alone is more than enough dendro appli, you won't even need DMC or Collei. Since Yaoyao and Kokomi will be built full EM, having them together for double the healing will be great for the team because their healing won't be that great individually (Kokomi's jellyfish still heals 5k+ even with an EM build tho), outside of Yaoyao's team-wide burst healing, but that only happens once per 20 second rotation. Tho in my case, for abyss, I play Nahida, DMC, and Kokomi with Nilou on one side, coz my Yaoyao is buzy keeping my Alhaitham alive in his quickbloom team since I don't have Kuki in his team xD
I am pretty sure that after activating her skill, N2E is faster than EEE for the hydro ring because it replaces her two spinning animations with N2. So if the enemies have a lot of knock back, it might be better to N2E rather than admiring Nilou’s twirls.
She doesn't *need* Nahida to function but it's not ideal to run her without Nahida either. If it's a choice between one or the other, Nahida can help out multiple teams, whereas Nilou's best team will always be Nahida dependent. picking Nahida first then waiting for a Nilou rerun is a better idea.
Nahida is much more versatile. She's a great addition to many dendro based team. I couldn't pull for her on her release and I've been waiting for her re-run ever since. DMC is serviceable, but harder to use. Dendro teams are generally much easier to play with Nahida.
If you're choosing between both, it's better to go with Nahida given the restrictive nature of Nilou's team comps (coming from someone who uses Nilou). If you are able to get both, though, they work really well with one another. Nahida makes it easier to reapply Dendro so by then all you might need to worry about is hydro application. One thing I'll say about Nilou is that when you're really going for her, you have to be ready to build a whole team around her instead of just slotting her into a team. And that's what can probably cause problems for a lot of players. If you're a player not using Dendro (like me not using Pyro), pulling for Nilou should be a low priority thing. I pulled for her in 3.1 and only got to use significantly by late 3.2 because I've had to farm so much for Deepwood and Gilded since I didn't use Dendro at that time. And that was even with pre-farming included. Overall between both, if you're only looking for damage Nilou has a case for that. But that's with the caveat that you should have units that can maintain Dendro and Hydro application. But if you're looking for versatility, it's better to get Nahida.
I wouldn’t say it’s going to get better, she’s about at peak performance due to how nice abyss has been to dendro. It will eventually fall out of favor, and Nilou will drop
@@maphitha1 by adjusting abyss lineups. The same way they buried Ayaka and Venti a long time ago. Then again, those were universally great characters whereas Nilou is incredibly niche, so they just might leave her alone

I'm a Nilou main. Nilou is my favorite character. I loved her because of her elegant dancing and sweet personality, but her Onfield play style is also so fun. I'm so happy i pulled for her. My mom gave me allowance for straight As, and I spent it on primogems. The final ten pull is where I got her. I was so happy 😊 I now have a bloom, vaporize, hydro, freeze, and electro-charge team for her.
I've built Nilou since the day she dropped because her style is amazing. Her E feels so satisfying, and her Q packs a powerful punch. I often use her along with Barbara, Collei and Lumine. Together, they do any enemy rawdog style.
She is such a great unit. She just got better with each patch somehow since her release. And will continue to do so cause the next region is hydro focused too. I feel people hated on her too much on release cause of the the niche kit. But i was totally fine with it. It kinda made me not just spam OP units all the time. Nilou is easy to build. You kinda need low investment for her. But you need to invest in her teammates. I feel you kinda need Nahida to make it easier. Not must have but it just makes it smoother and easier. My only biggest complain since her release is she is not a catalyst user. It would have been soo beautiful to watch.
As a Nilou main I will say that you kind of glossed over the strengths of both Barbara and Collei in Nilou bloom, which cannot come into effect in any other team. Collei is the fastest Dendro applicator in her game, so if you can tolerate her playstyle she becomes an invaluable asset in Nilou teams. As per Barbara, you said nothing about her but she is the best 4* Hydro to use for Nilou teams, since you want XQ more elsewhere and Barbara can both take care of the healing and be used on field with an EM build in the same way Kokomi would, I've found no significant difference in using either. The one upgrade that's not a different Nilou team archetype over her 2.1 team is Nahida, replacing either DMC or Collei, but it's important to take into account that both Barbara and Collei are very viable and very good characters for Nilou teams already, Nilou is an amazing pull if you want to put them into a team where they feel relevant.

I haven't touched the FoPL domain since I don't wanna farm a resin inefficient domain, the other set doesn't interest me since I don't have Wanderer. I know the damage difference is small in terms of hyperbloom but I don't own Nilou so I'm not familiar with how important the EM boosts the bountiful core dmg
Nahedia is just so useful in basically anyvteam, if you dont have her she is basically a must. Nilou is great and so much fun. But if you dont haveceither and can only get one, nahida is the right choice.
@@zogar8526 She's really useful, but she's not THAT flexible (I mean you can put Nilou in any team as well, but bloom is where she shines) . People will mostly just run her in the typical Hyperbloom setup, some Niloubloom, a few aggravate/spread and some very few in burgeon/burning. It's not like her teams vary a lot like they do with Kazuha or Bennet. Just look at popular dps like Hu Tao and Ayaka. Why would you run her over better options? Also, a lot of people already have her as well. However, I do agree that for most players Nahida adds more to the overworld experience and can be used in more dendro related reactions. You can also run her hyperbloom teams with an anemo grouper as well. On the other hand, Nilou is so easy to build that the basic free Nilou-DMC-Collei-Barbara team can wreck Abyss easily. She has a high floor one could say.
Will you make a detailed guide on how to USE Nilou bloom? I SIMP to the max for Nilou and I really want to learn how to use her passive. Right now I use her as a Hydro DPS. 2:17 is my issue.
I'm saving 110 pull so far for Nilou, I'm confident I could reach 150 by the end of her banner so even if I lost 50/50 I will still get her unless I'm super unlucky I lose her to Tighnari last time ffs, I hope I don't get Dehya this time lol. I use Xq+ al haitam + nilou + yaoyao . This team absolutely destroys everything that's on ground. Even if people don't have al haitam, I'm sure everyone will pull for kaveh and replace him in place of al haitam, the team will still perform well, or even better since now we don't need healer so we can replace yao yao with some othe hydro character like say yelan
She may be very niche, but her team comp seems very intereting and fun to try out. Skipped her first banner for Nahida so that I can try this team formation once I have all the pieces. Now I'm kinda undecided between her and Baizhu, since I've been waiting the latter since I started playing this game :

@@Catiesa Baizhu seems to be a better option for Nilou teams, the problem with Kokomi is that you need to be aware of your position to her jellyfish, and the enemies can get out of range. With Baizhu + Nahida it may allow Nilou to be the main driver, instead of being just a off field buffer.

The first time i got 36 stars in abyss was after pulling Nilou, her teams are easy to build (assuming you have the right characters) and very easy to use. Unlike with say Hu Tao i don't even need to be careful, if you use Kokomi as a driver for the team you almost can't die.
Back in her banner I gambled because I wanted a good 5 * sword (I remember her weapon being alongside jade cutter) and if I ended up with her signature weapon, I would pull for her too So I ended up with Nilou and I have ABSOLUTELY NO REGRETS. 1) She is very powerful in her niche 2) Seems every patch in Sumeru had somehow a Nilou buff (dendro character releases etc) and with Fontaine in the way, she is more likely to get more and more options 3) She is easy to build (hp% artifacts are easy to come by) 4) She is the character I most have fun to play 5) I think she is a good investment mainly if you already have Nahida or Kokomi If you like her I recommend you pull for her. I really love her playstyle
Kuki hyperbloom team can produce ton of damage (like 45k per seed) with really cheap investment. All 4 star except for traveller. Not really need to care about dying.
Nilou was always worth pulling. Her niche is effective and even her vape nuke build is viable. I watched my friend's C0R1 nilou do a collective 1million burst damage.
Nilou is as beautiful as lotus dancing atop the water showered by moonlight. Major waifu points right there. I pulled her on her original banner and have loved her playstyle ever since. As you said, her team options were extremely limited back in the day, but have since grown and will continue to do so. My go-to team comp for her is (not very F2P friendly, I know): Nilou -> Yelan -> Nahida -> Dendro Tabibito Of course this setup has severe healing issues, so when she finally dropped, I swapped the traveler with Yaoyao and the composition is god-tier IMO. Time will tell how she functions with the new dendro units and whatever Fontaine has in store for us, but I'd say she's definitely a must pull. Cheers!
My main team is Nahida, Kokomi , NILOU and Alheitham. I prefer this team even to my other team that is Ayaka Kokomi, Kazuha and Shenhe. My Nilou team is a lot of fun with all the cores exploding al over the screen. What i especialy like with this team is , even if one member dies , the team can still go on quite well.

Took a chance when I first started playing by pulling for her and deciding on her as my main. I liked the design and wanted a character that was different that hadn't been explored yet. I have not for one second regretted her. She's absurdly powerful and teams are actually less restrictive than one might think. Really, any Hydro/Dendro characters can be made super powerful by Nilou's presence as long as there is a healer present. Plus her animations and design are great. Easy to build too. Doing the Oceanid when you have Nahida+Nilou is hilarious.
I've always loved that you give Nilou the spotlight she deserves. I disagreed with one thing though, about how good Nilou is for beginners. I got her when I was just picking up the game again at ~AR35 and i felt that although she doesn't work with /every/ team, all her team members do. My first bloom team of Nilou, collei, tighnari (💀) and barbara carried me through everything and the investment i put in them was not wasted at all. her team has always been and still is my most reliable damage dealer and compared to the time i spent on Yoimiya or Xiao, building her and her team was very easy, quick and cheap. so i think she's definitely new player friendly, also because she's great for open world and mobs! but obviously, it's hard to recommend her over nahida. ❤
I lost on her first banner but because of that i got nahida using the guarented. And for some reason i got lucky on 3.4 and 3.5 where i won most of my gacha in 3.4 and got 3 5star on 3.5 while being broke! Jean dehya and keqing. And she come home today. For me she is the unit of all time
If you like bloom and you are a f2p player pull her.she s insanely cheap to build with 2 pc hp and 2 pc em with HP%/HP%/HP% as main stats and you can build a team with pretty much nothin,for example:dendro mc-yao yao-barbara-nilou
Sevy, can you please do a guide for vape nilou, or maybe a video for all other ways to play nilou like electro charged or freeze, but vape is the most important for us new nilou havers, trust me i've looked everywhere, but almost nobody talks about vape nilou, and those who do go over it really fast without giving f2p options, they just kazuha xiangling and bennett, i hope you can see this so you can help us.
As someone who's played with nilou and the key since their first banner, I've enjoyed her addition to my roster. I think I'm one of the few that have heavily invested into her team with her as the main driver. I would say it a lot of fun, seeing hydo slimes explode with nilou and nahida really hits the dopamine.
I'm so glad I caved and pulled for Nilou on her release despite not having many dendro options, she is so fun to play and now I can focus on pulling Nahida to further improve her team
I myself love nilou design and personality but don't like her restrictions (tho I have all dendro characters besides alhaitham and have yelan xingqiu Barbara and mona but I'm not gonna change nahida off of my hyperbloom team) I don't like her self bloom dmg and still think I'm better off saving for/getting kazuha, alhaitham and hydro archon.
I got her in her first banner on the same day I got her weapon. Both together came in within 50 pulls. I play her always in the abyss and she's a monster. Nilou, Dendro Traveler, Kokomi and Collei. Together they are unstoppable. 65k HP on Nilou is amazing. 😅
Nilou has been very good for my account, one side of the Abyss is basically always a Nilou team, and that side is usually the easiest side for me. For overworld, while it can be a pain in the butt to always have to do the 3 steps trigger on her E to get her passive, its always cool to delete everything in green explosions. Also, sword beams are cool
I pulled for Nilou on her release and have not regretted it. My favorite and strongest team so far. It feels like a lot of theory crafters just wanted to hate her. She performs very well outside of bloom. One of my favorite teams is Nilou Hyperbloom with Raiden, Nahida and Layla. That way I can use Nilou on-field. I’m goin for her C2 on her rerun.
I'm confused should I pull for nilou or nahida ? I'm still a newbie ar 27 but I have all support team Bennet xingqui mona sucrose yaoyao. Also ppl say nilou can only used on bloom/hyperbloom team. By your experienced how nilou work in freeze and vaporize team just wanted to know that
@@spacerabbitx3249 Nilou is very versatile and functions in all hydro team types including electro charged. I would say it requires a higher level of investment for Vape Nilou but I love playing it. And she works in freeze but my least favorite to play probably. For a new player, unless you simp for Nilou I would recommend Nahida as she can slot into more teams with less investment. That’s valuable in the early AR stages.
@@spacerabbitx3249 Nilou's best teams are bloom teams. She can work in vape, freeze, tazer, and hyperbloom teams, but her best team is bloom (dendro/hydro only, no other element). You can get Barbara for free, dendro Traveler by going to Sumeru statue of the 7, and Collei in abyss floor 4, and you have yourself a Nilou bloom team. It's ridiculously insane how fast enemies just die from too many seeds exploding everywhere. Up2u if you want Nilou or Nahida. Me personally, I pulled Nilou first because I didn't want to miss out on her bloom bloom bakudan playstyle, and I could just get Nahida later. So now I'm pulling for Nahida. But's just me. Prioritize who you want to pull first, and just get the other next time. I pulled Nilou first before Nahida coz I didn't want to miss out on playing bloom bloom bakudan team X3. So just choose which doors you want to open first. Nahida because she fits in many, if not all, dendro teams; Or Nilou to unlock a new playstyle for you.
@@spacerabbitx3249 Nahida is a better choice than nilou because she's more flexible in team building, she alone unlock burnmelt&overburn team, works great as hyperbloom support and decent as spread carry. on your second question yes nilou works decent as freeze&vaporize support.

the thing is Nilou will be buffed by ANY future dendro AND hydro char like the hydro archon or a dendro shielder (not necessarily baizhou). Nahida will get better with any future dendro, electro and hydro char... so... it's a good investment ^^
I've mained her since her release, and she's still my main given a few months have already passed. I can tell that if you're going to pull for her, she's not going to make you regret: BUT in a very important condition -- you really need to have a good understanding on how transformative reactions work, how these reactions scale off EM and level of the "trigger", the HP scaling on Nilou, and how her rotations work. SHE'S STRONG, just don't shut down that statement because it's true. Why "she" and not her team, because she can do big pulps of damage even in a vape team. She doesn't need a specific passive to work on other teams (which, if you think of it, actually makes her versatile). Overall, if you don't want to regret, just study her kit, the reaction she's focused on, and you're good to go. If neither bloom nor vape strike your fancy, then don't pull for her. 😚

Nilou is a niche character but she performs in that bloom team insanely good. For me, she is F2P friendly and an easy character to build.
Yes, she is great for F2P and new players too, because you will have a strong team guaranteed to clear one side of the abyss and you can focus on building crit characters in your other team. before her I was really struggling with building 2 teams that need high investment and now I just focus all on my resources on the crit team (and my Nilou team is still stronger, LOL)

@@DefinitelyNotAFerret I think, current 4 archons can deal with the second half. Maybe 12-2 will be a challenge since those knights don't want you to use a shield, but the only heal you might have is a Prototype Amber for Nahida. Maybe Venti's ult might help with them,not sure.
Also on Venut it's quite important for Raiden to bring an anemo unit for resistance shred,so Venti here is a plus.

I got Nilou on a whim when she released, just because she's cute and I'd accidentally gotten Key. I haven't had any regrets because her Bloom teams are just so strong and easy.
I was struggling with Maguu Kenki last Abyss, nothing was working, until I decided to throw Nilou Bloom at him, even though she's much better at AOE... she wiped the floor with him, and much faster than anticipated, too. When she works, she works extremely well.
And she can tank Maguu Kenki's attacks too, if necessary!
She also allows me to play on-field Kokomi, which is nice because I love Kokomi's NA.
I don't think she's a must-pull, but... Nilou is very cute and her best team is dead simple, which I personally appreciate.
no worth mentioning that her C0 is all that you need along without a need to build her skills just her HP! Enjoy your HP rolls!
Nilou team is so good and cheap to build. Just max her out to 90, focus on the dreaded HP% stats with a bit of EM here and there, you're good to go! Also, Nahida is not required with Nilou, her damage without Nahida is still strong so dont be obligated to run them together. However, it is mostly recommended due to Nahida's E acting as the "grouping" in the team

As an average Nilou enjoyer, I wish luck to anyone ready to grab her. Openworld or dungeons, I brought her everywhere. She has virtually very few specific bad matchups (cryo shields are the bane of my existence) and as Sevy said, that feeling when your screen fills up with green grenades is soooo good
This time around, I will go for her Signature weapon alongside Nahida's (a perfect weapon banner for me) then ofc Kaveh and Baizhu

2:18 It's actually much more likely that your hydro units will trigger blooms, so your non-Nilou hydro unit is the one who is most important to focus on EM. Hydro on Dendro bloom is the reverse reaction, so it uses half of the aura placed on your enemy, meaning if everything is getting thrown onto the enemy at the same time, dendro is going to stick on your opponent as aura. This also should be the goal that you aim for in your bloom teams; putting dendro on your target first and adding hydro to it 2nd will generally result in more total blooms and thus, more damage.
I missed her last banner, i would never let her get away again. I see a restrictive team building around her as a challenge and a chance to try new reactionss. I already built 5 teams that are abyss ready which mostly composed of vape, superconduct, electrocharged, aggravate/quicken. Looking forward to using a full bloom team

I've been using Nilou since her release, her bloom playstyle is so fun, and I'm glad that she has more teammates to use now. I'll be pulling for Kaveh and Baizhu just for more options to use with her and I feel with Fontaine we'll get even more hydro units to use with her
When Nilou originally came out, she clearly was lacking Nahida and an indisputable artifact loadout. Now you have Nahida (and Yaoyao) and 2x hp% set.
Nilou bloom (nuke) team is extremely strong. Pulled for her for waifu but her team just became one of my best lineups for abyss. One of the best investments for end game imo.
Abyss isn't end game and can be cleared without any banners pulled whatsoever, she is too niche and suits very few people/setups

I knew from the first leaks of Sumeru that I was pulling for her, and when her kit dropped everyone made fun of me (kokomi was the character that made me want to play the game so I'm used to people making fun of my pull choices) But just like Kokomi, I immediately fell in love with her and I've used her to full clear abyss since her release. With the new set I am so excited because it will make her on-field viable.

She's the most powerful character of all my 5 stars. Her bountiful bloom combined with a character triggering them in full EM Gilded Dreams does massive amounts of damage.

@@ginger2114 having at least 150 EM on trigger characters is recommended. Depends on the characters, you don't wanna use EM builds on characters like Yelan and Xingqiu, so having an Instructor buffer is recommended.
@@ginger2114 no, it’s not necessary. you would typically use double hydro double dendro. the reactor is typically the one to have the most em as they are procking the blooms. Nilou should stack as much hp as possible, then you have a dendro character (preferably traveller) with er and 4 piece instructors, then you would preferably have nahida who has high em and er (em for team wide em share) and then lastly your hydro applicator and bloom reactor with as much em as possible (best would be kokomi. rotation would be:
nilou E ring>Traveller e>traveller ult (procking instructors 4 piece)> nahida hold e>nahida ult> swap to hydro applicator (barbara/kokomi) and proc blooms!
with max stats on each character you’ll easily get 30k+ blooms

Mona is really good with Nilou :) specially because of her skill and sprint. Her skill has "crowd control" as it attracts enemies allowing her to generate the cores from afar and not take that much dmg, and if you keep clicking her sprint close to the enemies you'll be dodging most of the cores dmg and appling hydro. Plus, her burst increases the dmg taken by the enemy, it works for Bloom dmg as well ! I really like their team.

Nilou is worth pulling. She's fun to play and the nilou bloom team is so good
very niche in terms of teambuilding, but said team is so insane that it can be put against quite a variety of situations and do very well
while future hydro units may come in fontaine we already have the perfect pair with Kokomi which provides both hydro application and healing (put sac fragments on her) and ofc Nahida would be hard to top, dendro resonance is a nice bonus so i feel the best bet to improve the team is a second dendro unit with good synergy, currently running yaoyao in that last slot but her dendro application is pretty meh and you don't really need the extra healing if you have kokomi already. best part is, none of the units above actually need to be on field so more options are open
Been using nilou team since her release. Yaoyao really complete her team. Nahida-Nilou-Xingqiu-Yaoyao, its just ridiculously strong even at c0 and 4 star weapon.
your most on field characters are the Dendro's?
@@forygamesu217 I'm using the same team so in my experience, there isn't really an "onfield" character. Everything just boils down to using your cooldowns and swapping all the time. Of course, in an ideal situation, Nahida on field would be best because she probably has the most em and will therefore proc the most damaging bountiful cores, however, you wouldn't really get too much time to use her auto attacks because either you'll be dying from the blooms/enemies or just refreshing everyone's skills.
@@forygamesu217 yes, for bountiful core to work at best, u need dendro driver to be on field to trigger the trikarma with xingqiu rain sword. My playstyle is Nahida E, Nilou EEEE, Xingqiu EQE, Yaoyao E, then back to nahida as on field driver. Once her hp drop to like 30%, swap to yaoyao and use her burst (important to have her burst ready every rotation), that 5 sec window deal tons of damage while healing everyone, 50k nilou HP easy peasy. Then u repeat again with nilou. Its best to timing everything based on xingqiu rain sword. That 18 second duration should be the max on field of nahida and yaoyao, so nahida will get like 10-12s, and yaoyao 5-6s.
1. Nilou should focus everything with HP stat and favonius sword to battery xingqiu.
2. Xingqiu need to use full EM build here, his energy can be solve with sac sword. His rain shield helps alot in reducing bloom damage. Thats why i prefer him than yelan
3. Yaoyao need to focus on ER and HP.
In term of area of effect comp with level of investment, these are the best yet for me.

@@ForteFaiey with c0 yaoyao i can reach 30k+. You dont need too much HP on her since she already heal alot. Use ER sand and favonius lance (u need some CR in substat). HP circlet. EM on yaoyao is not important. Its xingqiu rain sword that mostly will trigger the core so EM will be based on xingqiu stat, i try it and got consistent damage around 33k per bloom (instant explosion).
I got her and I have benefited from her IMMENSELY. Got my first ever abyss clear with her blooms and she’s now one of my mains ❤️

As soon as Nilou became paired with the likes of Nahida and Yao Yao, I think her damage was good enough to the point where if Hoyoverse released a new Dendro or Hydro character, it would still be paired (Baizhu likely)

got her since release. REALLY satisfying playstyle and very f2p friendly. its not everyones cup of tea but her niche playstyle in itself is another form of diversity when it comes to current go to gameplay which is vaping freezing and quickbloom etc. one of my fave about it is that i feel like im playing the whole team instead of the usual buff/burst swap and then dps ch. have her at c0 r0 and no nahida but always going strong during my abyss runs
The thumbnail got me a little triggered lol jk, nilou was worth pulling on her debut banner. Although i understand that the small amount of compatible hydro and dendro teammates was very limiting back then but she works.. even without nahida and yaoyao
I'm definitely getting her this time, Focalors and her will be best buds in the future I'm betting. Her weapon would probably be good on Focalors too if she scales with HP.

The moment I saw Nilou’s first cutscene in Sumeru Act 1, I immediately fell in love with her. I didn’t regret pulling her 💙
Admittedly, my Nilou team with Nahida, Kokomi, and the Key may be more luxurious than that of most f2p players, but man is it fun. Yes, she is incredibly niche but wow. That niche is strong. Nothing in genshin has been as fun for me as watching my screen and all the enemies explode. Like genuinely to me this is the most fun team in the game.
Side note: if you're a bit unhinged and have a Nilou with the Key, she can actually kind of work as a second hydro in a double hydro Hu Tao team! (Not having xingqiu in that half really took a toll on me)
I can't deny that I pulled for Nilou under influence of all the hype that was spread before her release. But her team, especially since I managed to snatch Nahida too, was about the most fun I have ever had in the game. I have absolutely no regrets, she was definitely worth it, despite the fact that I have neither her nor Nahida's signature weapon and have used them together with pure heal Barbara and DMC on Gladiator set. That team is a monster shredder that can plow through its half of the Abyss with zero issues and I use it every time since then. I can't imagine how much better it could get if I had the resources to build them better.
Also to be honest, Nilou's niche does not really feel significantly smaller than niches of some other characters like Ayaka freeze, Melt Ganyu, or Vape Hu Tao. All of these highly regarded teams can be pretty restrictive on which teammates you can use to be effective.
As an original nilou haver who played her for a bit with her signature weapon, I’ve found I prefer playing nilou vape or mono hydro over nilou bloom, mostly because of the greater flexibility with team comping around her. It would have been interesting if her passive was worded as “if your team does not possess characters whose elements can react with bloom cores (ie pyro and electro), then nilou’s bountiful cores can activate.” That would make team building options more flexible with options for cryo fridge teams, anemo grouping of enemies and cores, geo shielding, etc. I do want to try nilou bloom again soon with Yao Yao being added and also kaveh coming in the future being on field dendro bloom focused!
That would be a weird restriction anyway, coz her seeds only stay for like 0.5 seconds before they explode immediately. No burgeon or hyperbloom would trigger at all.
@@blazingdragonwolf6771 yea, I don’t think it would actually written that way, I was mostly just getting at the point that it would be nice to not be as restricted to only hydro/dendro characters while still being bountiful/bloom core focused and not hyperbloom or burgeon. From a design standpoint I understand the intention of opportunity cost and wanting to not make Nilou OP, but I think only hydro/dendro team comps are a bit oppressive, albeit it is much less oppressive now with more dendro characters to fill supportive roles :)
Nilou is an insane character and is 100% worth getting imo. She doesn't require a ton of investment which makes her super accessible. The biggest investment is just acquiring Key of Khaj-Nisut. I love her and she legit feels like cheating
I feel like investment in nilou is less artifacts and more characters. You need characters to make her teams. So even an f2p nilou can be hard to properly get like Candace+Yaoyao. Tho she is very low investment in every area!
@@theazfar921116 definitely agree and that's a good thing too! Characters open up more ways for you to play the game! I got Nilou on release and played her with DMC Collei and Kokomi and had a ton of fun. But then Nahida comes out and not only does she slot into the comp, Nahida's large dendro application opened up triple hydro variants of the comp. YaoYao allowed for C6 Candace to shine. While I personally don't think Baizhu or Kaveh will find a home in Nilou comps, the potential will always be there whenever new dendro or hydro units release.
Plus you have all of the other team comps that come with getting a new character. Alhaitham can be slotted in bloom but he can also drive his own dedicated spread team. Or have high personal damage as he drives hyperbloom. Kokomi in Nilou but also Sukokomon. The list will go on and it's a great thing for the player

I myself love nilou personality and design but don't like her restrictions. I have all dendro besides alhaitham and xingqiu Barbara yealn. But I just don't like her self bloom and I'm not going to change nahida off of my hyperbloom team so I rather save for kazuha,alhaitham and hydro archon rather than her

Love Nilou, have her from the beginning. Her C2 is cracked. She carried me through some of the most difficult stages
As someone who has regularly used Nilou (with Nahida, Kokomi, and Dendro Traveler), if you want to pull for her, her niche nature means you have to be ready to build an entire team around her given that you only have Dendro and Hydro choose from. Also keep in mind you need a healer. Getting 700 dmg to you once may seem small, but repeat that dozens of times and you're gonna be in a lot of trouble.
Another thing to keep in mind is that it sometimes can also be tricky to maintain Dendro and Hydro auras on enemies if they're spread out, so ideally you have someone who can hit enemies from a distance to fill in any gaps in the elemental application. And just a side note, I pulled for Nilou somewhat taking a risk on her viability by gambling on Nahida fitting well with her. New wanters might have the benefit of past testing for her, but be sure to make full use of her test run domain and trying out bloom reactions on your own first if it's something for you.

@@nguoisaohoa6410 Nah, Nahida alone is more than enough dendro appli, you won't even need DMC or Collei.
Since Yaoyao and Kokomi will be built full EM, having them together for double the healing will be great for the team because their healing won't be that great individually (Kokomi's jellyfish still heals 5k+ even with an EM build tho), outside of Yaoyao's team-wide burst healing, but that only happens once per 20 second rotation.
Tho in my case, for abyss, I play Nahida, DMC, and Kokomi with Nilou on one side, coz my Yaoyao is buzy keeping my Alhaitham alive in his quickbloom team since I don't have Kuki in his team xD

I am pretty sure that after activating her skill, N2E is faster than EEE for the hydro ring because it replaces her two spinning animations with N2. So if the enemies have a lot of knock back, it might be better to N2E rather than admiring Nilou’s twirls.
I'm debating between her or nahida (probably nahida but like nilou don't need nahida to function and still can do very nice damage).
She doesn't *need* Nahida to function but it's not ideal to run her without Nahida either. If it's a choice between one or the other, Nahida can help out multiple teams, whereas Nilou's best team will always be Nahida dependent. picking Nahida first then waiting for a Nilou rerun is a better idea.

Nahida is much more versatile. She's a great addition to many dendro based team. I couldn't pull for her on her release and I've been waiting for her re-run ever since. DMC is serviceable, but harder to use. Dendro teams are generally much easier to play with Nahida.
If you're choosing between both, it's better to go with Nahida given the restrictive nature of Nilou's team comps (coming from someone who uses Nilou). If you are able to get both, though, they work really well with one another. Nahida makes it easier to reapply Dendro so by then all you might need to worry about is hydro application.
One thing I'll say about Nilou is that when you're really going for her, you have to be ready to build a whole team around her instead of just slotting her into a team. And that's what can probably cause problems for a lot of players. If you're a player not using Dendro (like me not using Pyro), pulling for Nilou should be a low priority thing. I pulled for her in 3.1 and only got to use significantly by late 3.2 because I've had to farm so much for Deepwood and Gilded since I didn't use Dendro at that time. And that was even with pre-farming included.
Overall between both, if you're only looking for damage Nilou has a case for that. But that's with the caveat that you should have units that can maintain Dendro and Hydro application. But if you're looking for versatility, it's better to get Nahida.

I wouldn’t say it’s going to get better, she’s about at peak performance due to how nice abyss has been to dendro. It will eventually fall out of favor, and Nilou will drop

@@maphitha1 by adjusting abyss lineups. The same way they buried Ayaka and Venti a long time ago. Then again, those were universally great characters whereas Nilou is incredibly niche, so they just might leave her alone

I'm a Nilou main. Nilou is my favorite character. I loved her because of her elegant dancing and sweet personality, but her Onfield play style is also so fun.
I'm so happy i pulled for her. My mom gave me allowance for straight As, and I spent it on primogems. The final ten pull is where I got her. I was so happy 😊
I now have a bloom, vaporize, hydro, freeze, and electro-charge team for her.
I've built Nilou since the day she dropped because her style is amazing. Her E feels so satisfying, and her Q packs a powerful punch. I often use her along with Barbara, Collei and Lumine. Together, they do any enemy rawdog style.

She is such a great unit. She just got better with each patch somehow since her release. And will continue to do so cause the next region is hydro focused too. I feel people hated on her too much on release cause of the the niche kit. But i was totally fine with it. It kinda made me not just spam OP units all the time.
Nilou is easy to build. You kinda need low investment for her. But you need to invest in her teammates. I feel you kinda need Nahida to make it easier. Not must have but it just makes it smoother and easier.
My only biggest complain since her release is she is not a catalyst user. It would have been soo beautiful to watch.
i don't think she needs Nahida. but Nahida adds a level of Oomph. If there's one unit she probably needs. it has to be Yaoyao.

As a Nilou main I will say that you kind of glossed over the strengths of both Barbara and Collei in Nilou bloom, which cannot come into effect in any other team. Collei is the fastest Dendro applicator in her game, so if you can tolerate her playstyle she becomes an invaluable asset in Nilou teams. As per Barbara, you said nothing about her but she is the best 4* Hydro to use for Nilou teams, since you want XQ more elsewhere and Barbara can both take care of the healing and be used on field with an EM build in the same way Kokomi would, I've found no significant difference in using either. The one upgrade that's not a different Nilou team archetype over her 2.1 team is Nahida, replacing either DMC or Collei, but it's important to take into account that both Barbara and Collei are very viable and very good characters for Nilou teams already, Nilou is an amazing pull if you want to put them into a team where they feel relevant.

I haven't touched the FoPL domain since I don't wanna farm a resin inefficient domain, the other set doesn't interest me since I don't have Wanderer. I know the damage difference is small in terms of hyperbloom but I don't own Nilou so I'm not familiar with how important the EM boosts the bountiful core dmg

Nahedia is just so useful in basically anyvteam, if you dont have her she is basically a must. Nilou is great and so much fun. But if you dont haveceither and can only get one, nahida is the right choice.
@@zogar8526 She's really useful, but she's not THAT flexible (I mean you can put Nilou in any team as well, but bloom is where she shines) . People will mostly just run her in the typical Hyperbloom setup, some Niloubloom, a few aggravate/spread and some very few in burgeon/burning. It's not like her teams vary a lot like they do with Kazuha or Bennet. Just look at popular dps like Hu Tao and Ayaka. Why would you run her over better options?
Also, a lot of people already have her as well. However, I do agree that for most players Nahida adds more to the overworld experience and can be used in more dendro related reactions. You can also run her hyperbloom teams with an anemo grouper as well.
On the other hand, Nilou is so easy to build that the basic free Nilou-DMC-Collei-Barbara team can wreck Abyss easily. She has a high floor one could say.
Will you make a detailed guide on how to USE Nilou bloom? I SIMP to the max for Nilou and I really want to learn how to use her passive. Right now I use her as a Hydro DPS. 2:17 is my issue.

I use Xq+ al haitam + nilou + yaoyao . This team absolutely destroys everything that's on ground.
Even if people don't have al haitam, I'm sure everyone will pull for kaveh and replace him in place of al haitam, the team will still perform well, or even better since now we don't need healer so we can replace yao yao with some othe hydro character like say yelan

@@Catiesa Baizhu seems to be a better option for Nilou teams, the problem with Kokomi is that you need to be aware of your position to her jellyfish, and the enemies can get out of range. With Baizhu + Nahida it may allow Nilou to be the main driver, instead of being just a off field buffer.

The first time i got 36 stars in abyss was after pulling Nilou, her teams are easy to build (assuming you have the right characters) and very easy to use. Unlike with say Hu Tao i don't even need to be careful, if you use Kokomi as a driver for the team you almost can't die.

Back in her banner I gambled because I wanted a good 5 * sword (I remember her weapon being alongside jade cutter) and if I ended up with her signature weapon, I would pull for her too
So I ended up with Nilou and I have ABSOLUTELY NO REGRETS.
1) She is very powerful in her niche
2) Seems every patch in Sumeru had somehow a Nilou buff (dendro character releases etc) and with Fontaine in the way, she is more likely to get more and more options
3) She is easy to build (hp% artifacts are easy to come by)
4) She is the character I most have fun to play
5) I think she is a good investment mainly if you already have Nahida or Kokomi
If you like her I recommend you pull for her. I really love her playstyle
Kuki hyperbloom team can produce ton of damage (like 45k per seed) with really cheap investment. All 4 star except for traveller. Not really need to care about dying.
Nilou was always worth pulling. Her niche is effective and even her vape nuke build is viable. I watched my friend's C0R1 nilou do a collective 1million burst damage.
I have Nilou and I am going for Nahida. I can't wait to use them together 😊
All she needs atm is kaveh and she's golden. Kaveh can't be hurt since he heals from the blooming
Nilou is as beautiful as lotus dancing atop the water showered by moonlight. Major waifu points right there.
I pulled her on her original banner and have loved her playstyle ever since. As you said, her team options were extremely limited back in the day, but have since grown and will continue to do so. My go-to team comp for her is (not very F2P friendly, I know):
Nilou -> Yelan -> Nahida -> Dendro Tabibito
Of course this setup has severe healing issues, so when she finally dropped, I swapped the traveler with Yaoyao and the composition is god-tier IMO. Time will tell how she functions with the new dendro units and whatever Fontaine has in store for us, but I'd say she's definitely a must pull.

I got Nilou’s C1 and Key on her first banner, and haven’t regretted it once. She’s top tier in both damage and waifu categories.
Easy choise for me as I have nahida, nilou's weapon and I like her playstyle and her character
My main team is Nahida, Kokomi , NILOU and Alheitham. I prefer this team even to my other team that is Ayaka Kokomi, Kazuha and Shenhe. My Nilou team is a lot of fun with all the cores exploding al over the screen. What i especialy like with this team is , even if one member dies , the team can still go on quite well.

Took a chance when I first started playing by pulling for her and deciding on her as my main. I liked the design and wanted a character that was different that hadn't been explored yet.
I have not for one second regretted her. She's absurdly powerful and teams are actually less restrictive than one might think. Really, any Hydro/Dendro characters can be made super powerful by Nilou's presence as long as there is a healer present. Plus her animations and design are great. Easy to build too. Doing the Oceanid when you have Nahida+Nilou is hilarious.
I've always loved that you give Nilou the spotlight she deserves.
I disagreed with one thing though, about how good Nilou is for beginners. I got her when I was just picking up the game again at ~AR35 and i felt that although she doesn't work with /every/ team, all her team members do. My first bloom team of Nilou, collei, tighnari (💀) and barbara carried me through everything and the investment i put in them was not wasted at all. her team has always been and still is my most reliable damage dealer and compared to the time i spent on Yoimiya or Xiao, building her and her team was very easy, quick and cheap. so i think she's definitely new player friendly, also because she's great for open world and mobs!
but obviously, it's hard to recommend her over nahida. ❤

I lost on her first banner but because of that i got nahida using the guarented. And for some reason i got lucky on 3.4 and 3.5 where i won most of my gacha in 3.4 and got 3 5star on 3.5 while being broke! Jean dehya and keqing. And she come home today. For me she is the unit of all time
If you like bloom and you are a f2p player pull her.she s insanely cheap to build with 2 pc hp and 2 pc em with HP%/HP%/HP% as main stats and you can build a team with pretty much nothin,for example:dendro mc-yao yao-barbara-nilou

As someone who's played with nilou and the key since their first banner, I've enjoyed her addition to my roster. I think I'm one of the few that have heavily invested into her team with her as the main driver.
I would say it a lot of fun, seeing hydo slimes explode with nilou and nahida really hits the dopamine.
I'm so glad I caved and pulled for Nilou on her release despite not having many dendro options, she is so fun to play and now I can focus on pulling Nahida to further improve her team

I myself love nilou design and personality but don't like her restrictions (tho I have all dendro characters besides alhaitham and have yelan xingqiu Barbara and mona but I'm not gonna change nahida off of my hyperbloom team) I don't like her self bloom dmg and still think I'm better off saving for/getting kazuha, alhaitham and hydro archon.
I got her in her first banner on the same day I got her weapon. Both together came in within 50 pulls. I play her always in the abyss and she's a monster.

I was torn between pulling for Baizhu and Nilou. But I think now I've almost made my mind and I'll go for Nilou.
Nilou has been very good for my account, one side of the Abyss is basically always a Nilou team, and that side is usually the easiest side for me.
For overworld, while it can be a pain in the butt to always have to do the 3 steps trigger on her E to get her passive, its always cool to delete everything in green explosions. Also, sword beams are cool
I pulled for Nilou on her release and have not regretted it. My favorite and strongest team so far.
It feels like a lot of theory crafters just wanted to hate her. She performs very well outside of bloom. One of my favorite teams is Nilou Hyperbloom with Raiden, Nahida and Layla. That way I can use Nilou on-field.

For a new player, unless you simp for Nilou I would recommend Nahida as she can slot into more teams with less investment. That’s valuable in the early AR stages.

She can work in vape, freeze, tazer, and hyperbloom teams, but her best team is bloom (dendro/hydro only, no other element).
You can get Barbara for free, dendro Traveler by going to Sumeru statue of the 7, and Collei in abyss floor 4, and you have yourself a Nilou bloom team. It's ridiculously insane how fast enemies just die from too many seeds exploding everywhere.
Up2u if you want Nilou or Nahida. Me personally, I pulled Nilou first because I didn't want to miss out on her bloom bloom bakudan playstyle, and I could just get Nahida later. So now I'm pulling for Nahida. But's just me.
Prioritize who you want to pull first, and just get the other next time. I pulled Nilou first before Nahida coz I didn't want to miss out on playing bloom bloom bakudan team X3. So just choose which doors you want to open first. Nahida because she fits in many, if not all, dendro teams; Or Nilou to unlock a new playstyle for you.

the thing is Nilou will be buffed by ANY future dendro AND hydro char like the hydro archon or a dendro shielder (not necessarily baizhou). Nahida will get better with any future dendro, electro and hydro char... so... it's a good investment ^^
I've mained her since her release, and she's still my main given a few months have already passed. I can tell that if you're going to pull for her, she's not going to make you regret: BUT in a very important condition -- you really need to have a good understanding on how transformative reactions work, how these reactions scale off EM and level of the "trigger", the HP scaling on Nilou, and how her rotations work.
SHE'S STRONG, just don't shut down that statement because it's true. Why "she" and not her team, because she can do big pulps of damage even in a vape team. She doesn't need a specific passive to work on other teams (which, if you think of it, actually makes her versatile).
Overall, if you don't want to regret, just study her kit, the reaction she's focused on, and you're good to go. If neither bloom nor vape strike your fancy, then don't pull for her. 😚
