Hua Chenyu debuted in a singing competition in 2013 and started holding concerts in 2014! His concerts have set numerous records in China. In 2018, he held concerts for two days at China’s largest stadium, the Bird’s Nest. All 180,000 tickets sold out instantly, making him the youngest singer to hold a concert at the Bird’s Nest!
Although HuaHua is not mainstream, he has a strong following and is one of the biggest concert sellers, his concerts sell out in under 2 minutes and even less. His concerts are top notch on all levels, music and vocals of course, stage, lighting, costumes and they're so fun. HuaHua almost always writes parts for the audience to sing with him in his songs, either they'll sing with him, or they'll sing the chorus, or he'll just play the piano and let the audience sing the whole song. He also interacts a lot with the audience, there's never a dull moment at HuaHua's concerts. I've flown to China five times just to attend his concerts and can't wait to go back! ❤
His Mars concerts are outstanding. I was at 2 of them last year. He is famous in China. He fills stadiums with 100k audiences and the tickets are sold out within minutes sometimes seconds. He is really amazing. 😮😊
This year (2024) one of his Mars Concerts was hold at Yantai beach with over 100,000 audiences to see sunrise . You can see the biggest concert in China by searching " Growing Towards the Sun " ...
Hua Hua isn't the biggest star in China because there are many musicians and singers in mainland China plus those from Taiwan and Hong Kong. And the population of mainland China is over 1 billion and Hua's music isn't really mainstream. Similarly, there is no one biggest star in the US or Great Britain or Europe etc. Hua has popularity but certainly not the most popular. He's able to pull crowds though but of course, the crowds were and are his existing fans. There are many older singers in China (including Hong Kong and Taiwan) who are more popular and bigger than Hua Hua. As a fan, I'm OK with that as I don't need top ranking to like his work. I agree! Chenyu is just more inspiring to me than many of the other artists. I don't listen to katie perry or taylor swift or beyonce or miley cyrus or dre or justin bieber. Chenyu's songs/music are just right up my alley!
