Hyundai has launched the third-gen i20 in India at a starting price of Rs 6.79 lakh (ex-showroom).
Hyundai i20 Price: It is priced between Rs 6.79 lakh and Rs 11.17 lakh (ex-showroom).
Hyundai i20 Variants: The new i20 is available in four variants: Magna, Sportz, Asta and Asta (O).
Hyundai i20 Powertrains: Hyundai offers the i20 2020 with the same three engines as the Venue: two petrol and a diesel. The first petrol unit is a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine that puts out 83PS and 114Nm and the second is a 1.0-litre turbo petrol, in 120PS/172Nm tune. It also gets a 1.5-litre diesel engine rated at 100PS/240Nm. While the 1.2-litre petrol engine comes mated to either a 5-speed MT or CVT, the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit gets either a 6-speed iMT clutchless manual or the 7-speed DCT like the Venue. The diesel engine, on the other hand, isn’t offered with an automatic gearbox and comes paired to a 6-speed MT.
Hyundai i20 Features: The new i20 comes with LED headlamps, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an air purifier, BlueLink connected car tech, and a sunroof.
Hyundai i20 Safety: Safety features include six airbags, rear parking sensors, and electronic stability control.
Hyundai i20 Rivals: Hyundai’s premium hatchback takes on the Honda Jazz, Tata Altroz, Volkswagen Polo, Maruti Baleno and Toyota Glanza

I have 1.2 petrol and i travelled 1300 kms in 3 days.
Sometimes it was bumper to bumper traffic... And >half of the journey was on highway with 120+ speeds.
I got around 15kmpl mileage on MID.

Same here. Older model Elite i20 2019 petrol. I try to keep rpm within 2000. That gives good mileage. This older model is much heavier than current model.

I was going downhill and my i20 which is only 1 month old was showing 29.4 km/pl mileage and when i was coming back which was uphill it was giving me around 20km/pl mileage

I own i20 asta IVT which gives me around 10-11 in city and on highway 12-14
dont expect mileage from CVT transmissions.. now you may debate with that yours is IVT, but here's the catch, IVT is almost CVT with some modifications done here and there,CVT type transmissions have huge transmission losses.

I got 15.20 Km/l, sportz ivt, driving speed not more than 80km on highway, Bengaluru city 10Km/L, 1st service done 1800km
I have i20 sportz ivt. I get 12 kmpl city around 30 to 50kmph speed. But very light pedal always rpm around 1500 to 2200, If i accelerate even a little bit mileage drops a lot. Should i complaint service center
@@hphp7587 cant complaint sir, coz the type of transmission you are using have huge transmission losses, its the same as CVT, so you can never expect mileage from these transmissions. Fit it with manual and it easily give you 15+ in city
@@rishi4828 but the arai mileage for manual and ivt is only 0.5Kmpl difference. Isnt this cheating customer?
@@hphp7587 ummm.. no we cannot say it as "cheating customer" since CVT can give realtively good mileage when they are quiet new.. but it deteriorates quickly.... you can take example of simple CVT type transmissions.. Activa gives close to claimed mileage when they are new .. but after rough use in 1 year the mileage deteriorates to 50 to 75 percent of claimed mileage
@@hphp7587 not to forget... hyundai claims arai mileage of 20kmpl mileage for manual.. and its definitely possible to extract 20kmpl from manual if driven light foot with light traffic

@@venkatavinaykumar Even if you are skilled driver In heavy Bangalore traffic mileage is 8 to 10kmpl only, Avg in City 10 to 12 Kmpl.. On long ride u can stretch between 15Kmpl(Uninterrupted Drive/Single Lane) to 18Kmpl(Expressway/Highway). i20 is not for mileage its for experiencing smooth drive.

My grand i10 Diesel sportz 2015 model giving me around 28 & 29 Kmpl without AC in winter...tested multiple times 182 kms/6.33liters=28.8..and tested back to back with the same amount and quantity of fuel...supper car i have seen ever ..using since 2015...
