One of my friends who bought it a couple of months ago remarked “This is the most hyped Casio ever”.. To add fuel to the fire, he paid Rs 4999 for it ! Agree that MTP-1381 looks more premium and offers better VFM compared to this one.

Y676 is nothing but renamed 7S26. You won't get hand-winding or hacking feature and the power reserve is ~40 hours. Apart from the lack of feature, that movement is fine. Much better than Miyota 8000-series (that honestly sound and feel like an auto-rickshaw engine) or Seagull movement that you would get at this price. If you can, go for Seiko 5 for around 18k or try some Miyota watch at a showroom and then decide for yourself

What it claims ~40 hrs is absolutely misleading. I purchased a dwc Everest 2 with NH35A movement, which is lasting close to ~25hrs with 50 rounds of hand windings and daily movement.
Either wear the watch for 6-8 years or shake the watch slowly for about 5 minutes to get a reasonable power backup. 40+ hour power reserve can be achieved only after fully winding the mainspring and for that 10-12 hours wrist time will be needed.
Saw this watch today itself on a colleagues hand. i will have to admit that the looks is great considering the tiffany dial color. On specs aspect, definitely its a thumbs down..but i guess its the looks which attracts the audience Agreed with your point of not buying this at premium, but its definitely a fun watch to have, provided you already have a decent collection. Casio has also encasged on the tiffany hype
Well said! Look wise Tareeq is excellent and if paired with an integred type bracelet / strap, it looks real premium on wrist. And it comes for half the price of Casio Tiffany 😊. Only drawback of hmt is that their water resistance property cannot be trusted these days because of substandard quality control, this is a recent problem and this wasn't an issue even 15 years back. Gone are those days when hmt automatic watches used to get advertised as it could handle the deepest pool.
