I was asleep in Omer at 5:30 am when my brother-in law woke me to tell me the news. Nobody went to work that day. We were all standing outside TV stores In Beersheva watching
Phoenix, you hit the nail on the head when you described this operation as "a glorious victory against evil". We have forgotten what true evil is, thanks to the Left raping the English language.
I was told about this operation thunderbolt just few days back and when I Googled I was astonished by Israel quick wit and guts....just salute u all and rest in peace brave soul yoni sir....love from India....
Great animation! Only two small details: 1. The flight plan of the Hercules planes was not flying over Libya and Sudan but above the Red Sea to avoid detection. 2. Eritrea is displayed as an independent country on the map but it was still part of Ethiopia at that time. Besides that, you guys did a great job! Keep on the good work!
I was 9 years old when this happened and I was amazed by it, the audacity and Hollywood like drama of it left a lasting impression in me. Since then I researched the story of Israel post 1948 and come to respect her people tremendously. I wish people would look at their story and understand why they win so much...And why they are the good guys.
The old terminal building was actually designed by an Israeli company. They still had the blue prints and they were used to design a mock up of the terminal.
Such a great story of courage, strength and brotherhood... Respect Isreal, Respect Syret Matkal, Respect Mr. Netanyahu for ur courage and strength.. A humble friend from India
Many Americans love Israel for religious reasons. I love and admire Israel for their war-fighting abilities and their love of freedom and democracy. What you won't hear on tv is that Israel is the most democratic and fair country in that part of the world. Religion does not factor at all in health care, public services, or education. There are Christians, Druze, and Muslims serving in the IDF and in government. The standard of living is much higher than in the countries that surround them. This is a country that has done more for it's people, of all faiths, in 73 years than it's neighbors have done in centuries.
Israel has shown extraordinary courage and commitment to fight and survive , there may be 10s of other extraordinary operations but this one is my favourite , love from Bharat ,
The courage display by LTC Yoni Netanyahu is an inspiration to any soldier in the free world. As long there is a man with courage the innocent will be free.
And guys, let's not forget one of the most important results of the operation - Israeli men had a far far easier time picking up Jewish girls after this.
I was sucked in New Bern, NC due to weather, I had flown down the day before to make fireworks run, you see it was 4th of July 1976 200 years of American Freedom. Me, my brother and Peter B. when to an afternoon movie, "The Outlaw Josey Wales", the news had broke when we returned to the hotel we were staying at. Every time I what that movie since I pause to think about Yoni and say a pray for his soul.
The jews are the people who suffered miserable past like no one else they deserve highest amount of respect the legacy of yoni will inspire not only tye jews but everyone who believes in freedom and pride
I've always wondered about something whispered about in the family could be true. My partner's cousin Doni was incommunicado during the exact time that Antebbe took place. We know he was part of National Security and a flying group of half track soldiers who worked the Golan area. I'd love to find out for sure if he was there. Damn I wish I still had my security clearance with the M.O.D.
RIP Yonatan Netanyahu (1946-1976) and To the four hostages who were killed in Operation Entebbe RIH To the 45 Ugandan soldiers and the seven hijackers of Air France Flight 139 who were killed in Operation Entebbe
for all the people who think this is propoganda. I would like to add something that the narrator missed. There was one jewish hostage that had to be taken to a Ugandan hospital due to health complications brought on by old age. After the operation Idi amin ( the leader of Uganda at the time) was so embarrassed and angry that he fed the woman to crocodiles. they hate us cause they ain't us
hello I am very interested to see this video, but do not know English there somewhere where I can see it translated into Spanish or with subtitles . apologies for the inconvenience and thank you very much !!!!
Good video. I know it's cartoonish, but the route of the rescue flight from Israel is shown as a straight line. It would be interesting to show the actual path, which went over the Red Sea and south of Djibouti.
Excellent video! Just a small correction: the ma shows the Sinai as part of Egypt. Following the Six Day War and Yom Kippur War, Israel controlled that land. I seem to recall that the flights actually took off from Sinai, drastically shortening the flight distance.
Not really a big deal but Brigitte Kuhlmann was not a blond haired blue eyed woman, she actually had quite dark hair, still a really good animation though.
At least four hostages died in the operation, because they didn't went down quickly enough, when the soldiers entered. This is a sad fact, but the alternative was much worse
Very nyc effort and team work by israeli soldiers...but y is this popping up as an add when i m watching videos.....i mean no offense just curious to know the reason
Why didn't this video provide details of the 4 hostages who were killed? Or even just mention them? Seems like pertinent information if your goal is to learn about Entebbe.
Beautiful.
Rest in peace, Yoni Netanyahu, OBM; may your memory be eternal.
Dora Bloch, 75, after she was murdered by officers of the Ugandan army
I'd go for moshe dayan, since netanyahu is disgusting.

40 years on and it's still a gold standard in the field of counter-terrorism and hostage rescue. Truly a glorious victory against evil.
Phoenix, you hit the nail on the head when you described this operation as "a glorious victory against evil". We have forgotten what true evil is, thanks to the Left raping the English language.
Coming from a pony, this is contradictory.
I've seen much better.
I was told about this operation thunderbolt just few days back and when I Googled I was astonished by Israel quick wit and guts....just salute u all and rest in peace brave soul yoni sir....love from India....

Sam Vodopianov - Самуил Водопьянов Спасибо, Сэм!😀
Better explanation and action than the drama film of 2017, which is more about a modern dance.
Give God all of the glory! Without His hand guiding this operation it could never have succeeded! Praise the Lord Jesus Christ!!!
Amen

It's actually the Sayeret Matkal
It was the Mossad too. Sayeret Matkal, Givati, and the Paratroopers (Zanhanim) actually got to Entebbe, and the Mossad gathered intel.
So no one mentions the role Kenya played in this operation .
The jews are the people who suffered miserable past like no one else they deserve highest amount of respect the legacy of yoni will inspire not only tye jews but everyone who believes in freedom and pride
Pathetic playing the victim card

Why didn't this video provide details of the 4 hostages who were killed? Or even just mention them? Seems like pertinent information if your goal is to learn about Entebbe.
This is just a short video about the overview.
from the animted , the only mistake was, israel commando were using Israel's sub-machine gun - Uzi , it was not AK-47 rifle .. ..
