-princeton velvettouch round 20/0(my fav)
-wargamer "the psycho" army painter brush (its actually called the psycho, this ones quite good. its not as stiff as the one above so i find i have a little less control but its still a nice brush for details)
-arteje 100/0 camlon micro paint brush( this ones quite a bit stiffer than the other two but its a super tiny brush. its a bit hard to control but probably the finest brush i have)
I use a liquid brush shaper i got from blick awhile ago with all these brushes. this has really helped me with their longevity and keeping their shape which is kind of difficult with really fine brushes.

I'm OBSESSED. I literally don't even understand how you're not like a million times more popular, I LOVE watching you customize dolls, I always feel like I'm hanging out with my buddy while she tells me about her cool art and it's sooo fun. Everyone who isn't obsessed with you is wrong actually!!! And I LOVE that you blushed the body!!!!! Like, I get that there a variety of reasons people don't but body blushing always makes me so happy lmao. This babe turned out totally gorgeous!!!!! I'm in love with her dress and those shiny stockings!!! I agree with you about the yarn for hair too, that floofy wavy texture is just to die for!!! Honestly you did such a good job on this whole doll lmao. I think the shoes were the weakest point and like, honestly shoes suck, even just drawing shoes makes me want to ban them from my personal existence, people who make those amazing little doll shoes that literally look realer than normal shoes are like, actually blessed by spirits or something, they're outliers and us mere mortals should not be held to their shoe standards. I love the methodology of like, hmm this looks...okay. And then you put a nice bow on it and a bead and like who can tell it's a little ugly!!! It doesn't matter because the rest of the doll is perfect. The only thing i could think to improve the shoes is just...adding MORE details and that just sounds so annoying!!! Putting your time into the rest of the doll is so much better, look how beautiful she is!!!! LOOK AT THAT BLUSHING!!!!! She looks so lively and pouty and cute, it's unbearable tbh I just wanna kiss her or something like what a babe!!! 100/10 love this doll with all of my heart and soul, if she disappears it's because I longed for her so hard I spontaneously broke reality to snatch her--LMAO.
Okay sorry I probably sound a little crazy, it's almost 4am and my idiot rooster decided to wake me up. But I love her and obviously I must ramble about it!!!!
haha youre funny!! but thank you!! it means alot because i kind of had to hurry to put her together :D shoes do suck lol i try with them but the entire time im just like ugh. i thought of adding a detail to the shoes but kinda dug em as a simple accessory? i dunno, honestly maybe ill buy her some shoes. she deserves em lol she does have a kind of irresistibly pouty face haha. the sculpting is really sweet.

I own a Dollzone BJD (Alpha) for years but still am much to afraid to give him some more colour and repaint his faceup. It's amazing how you can do such amazing eyelashes. Really adorable.
im glad you like her! painting bjds can be intimidating but you can always just remove whatever ya put down and try again!

She is so cute! I feel like other peoples style of repainting kind of disappears when they paint bjd's, but not you! You could tell from miles away that this is a Jacky doll!

She is beyond Gorgeous, I Love her!!!! I really enjoy watching U work with the different sizes, since some are this size then smaller, & really I'm unsure if there are several sizes for the BJDs or not but I sure Love all the instructions U give while U work!
thank you!! yea its fun kind of switching up since i usually work in 1/6 scale. oh bjds come in all sorts of sizes, alot quite a bit bigger than fashion dolls.

I agree her face sculpt it so beautiful and she's one of your prettiest repaints to date! I always wanted a Moon Lupi, but I think her joints turned me off lol. I feel so insecure about dropping, or the doll falling in any way and I think that would make it worse? The combination of the gold and red is very you lol. It works and I love how we somehow ended up with dolls that had such different themes while still being "Valentine's". I love the body blushing too and I cry at the thought of anyone removing it 😭
ahhh thank ya!! aww i think they did get a bit better with sueding and restringing. definitely not my fav poser but shes doing better! yea!! we both made some fancy but different ladiesssss. i doubt ill ever sell her so hopefully shell keep this blushing forevaaa

I use watercolor pencils on my resin bjd but I fully admit it does give very soft edges. I like it because many of my dolls are tiny animal dolls and so the fuzzy look suits them but on human type dolls paint does look nicer
i think for me i prefer sharp lines so generally even on vinyl dolls i kind of prefer paint but using pencils does make life alot easier heh.
Hmmm, with those knees, I get the feeling that she won't be able to stand on her own. XD The face is stunning, though! That dress gives me such childhood vibes, like my Barbies would have dresses made of similar fabrics and ah! Gorgeous. ^^

Do u need to build up a lot of spray in order to get pastels to work well ? I sprayed two coats - and it was to light to work. Even with dark colors and beating down the brush on the lips😭. Is it possible I sprayed too light?
Usually the higher the quality of the pastel the more light handed you can be. It has to do with pigmentation, not the sealant necessarily. If you can I would invest in a high quality set of pastels! And make sure you always take a crafting knife to your pastels to make them into a powder rather than picking up the color straight from the roll.
i agree with the below comment about having nice pastels but it sounds like you might have possibly sprayed wrong? are you spraying very close and heavy? typically i do like 2 or 3 sprays and hold the doll about a foot away. ive seen people use cheaper pastels and it should be showing up but you just have to build them more than expensive pastels.
Makes you wonder what dollightful will make same for doll fairy and dollmotion to so yeah think they can do a valentines day collab please? Thought I'd ask
