This tank is amazing. Most other tank players think it's normal T54, but that LRF makes a huge difference. Its dart isn't that good, but the HEATFS make up for the lack of pen.
Honestly most chinese tanks get crazy starting at 7.7 to 8.7. They start getting LRF, Stabs, ERA, HE-TV for tanks. Only annoying part is low turret speed. But the trade off is worth it.
4:30 no dude... This apdsfs is WAY better than the apds of the 59! The type 59 regular apds strugles to go through its own 60° angled 100mm front plate at 500m+ while the apdsfs of the type 69 can dl that no problem. There barely are any plages that exceed 200mm at that BR, and also the post pen spalling is a lot better of the type 69. The 59 apds bounces a ton, its very annoying. I take the apdsfs over the heatfs from the type 69, its just that good at its BR! Mabe take like 5 heatfs shells if you see a Mausorsomething like that. But for everything else the apdsfs is just better
Im seeing too many ppl saying that APFSDS shell is bad. Yall is gatkeeping or something cause i love that shell. It 1 taps everything. And btw tankenstein, use the m41d. Plssssss

The apfsds on this tank is apcr level bad, the post pen is basically non-existent. It is so bad even offical WT youtube channel admit that is sucks in one of their video lol
Type 59 have similar issue, with weak apds more comparable to Centurion Mk.3 one than to the other 8.0 wehicles. Its more like a tradeoff when compared to standard T 54 - better modules for becoming a heat-slinger. There is kinda no-point to force yourselve to not use it.

I used the APFSDS as my primary shell. I occasionally use HEAT but the dart works incredibly reliably for me.

Nah it's one of the worst vehicles to play. APFSDS is weaker than the APHE from the previous Type 59. HEAT in general is extremely dodgy.
This with the type 69 2A, ztz59a, ztz59d1 is my go to tank for chinese 8.0-8.3 lineup
