Thank you, this was very interesting! I currently have the Kindle Scribe, and since I have been seeing some of the color e-ink displays (I am really interested in the Onyx Boox Note Air 3C), I have been thinking a lot about how great it would be for Amazon to introduce a color version of the Scribe and other Kindles with color. The other ideas on that list don't interest me, but the color display definitely does! I would love to see the illustrations in the books I read in color, as well as be able to take notes using different color pens, highlighters and markers. I think that would be really awesome! Hence, why I am considering another e-reader/note taking device with color. Have a great day and Happy New Year!
Thanks for your comment! I think I said in the video I wasn’t so fussed about colour as at the moment they seem to look a little under saturated. However thinking more on it it would be nice to have the choice on a Kindle device. What do you think? Will Amazon dip their company toes into the realm of colour e-ink soon? Happy New Year 🥳
@@mark_kelly I imagine that Amazon WILL eventually offer the option of color, as they must see the consumer interest in those devices from other companies, so hopefully, it is just a matter of time. But there are other color devices out there already which really look good, and I really don't mind the lighter, or pastel color displays on e-ink devices. Thank you so much for the reply, Mark!

Everything is available to make this an indispensable tool in schools. Unfortunately there is no platform to put it all together. Even rudimentary color would help with the education market. Remarkable 2 capabilities would also be key. Kindles current abilities compare poorly. A large percentage of the materials used in schools could be pulled from open source and augmented where needed by commercial content. I would like to see an option that allows pages to be enumerated in synch with hard copy versions. In this way students could choose either option and still follow teacher assignments. Teachers could assign and collect quizzes and tests in real time with very basic improvements were made to communications & processing.
Can you imagine kid's backpacks shedding 10 - 20 lbs?
Can you imagine schools and parents no longer paying out hundreds of dollars per student for materials that don't change in any meaningful way from year to year?
Teachers no longer spending their own money to print out resources for their students.
