Europa League games on a Thursday and SPL games on a Sunday .. I am not happy with that.Our priority next season has to be winning the SPL and a few quid from CL games a bonus.
I completely disagree. I would prefer to get to the champions league, get the money and dip out of there and focus on the league. Rather than getting deep into the europa league and playing 3 games a week for a fraction of the finances.
The competition prize money from Europe is vital. For perspective, A domestic cup win in Scotland comes with a cash prize of £300k. Rangers can earn that with one result in the Europa League. Not to mention, Europe is a chance for Rangers to put their players on the market and hopefully get a big money sale. This is vital as part of the player trading model. Without Europe and player trading there would not be enough money in Scottish football to sustain Rangers and Celtic.
@@RMCM024 I agree, European involvement essential. We’ve known this for decades yet some fans still wish us out of Europe so we can “focus on the league”. This idea that getting out of Europe helps you win the league is nonsense too. Results in Europe breeds confidence amongst the players and fans we seen all of that on our way to a final a few years ago. In the aftermath, we actually sell players for big money because we have done well. We would never have sold Bassey for that money if not for Europe. The fans place a lot of value in the domestic cups but the reality now is that these competitions are nothing to Rangers. It’s only £300k. Winning the league has a prize money of about £3m, the TV deal is a joke, the club needs money. We can win the league but without Europe and players being sold we would be in financial turmoil.
It looks like this stadium nonsense is affecting our transfer budget and to me that is unforgivable. The transfer window so far gives me the absolute fear and i would say we are probably weaker than last year and that is astonishing.
I think this is the first time I've ever had the fear about a pre season and a new season! I remember it was a time familys went up to see the new signings parade and play ....we're spending buttons 😢
Great episode lads. Disagree with the CL comment though. If we win our qualifiers we deserve to be in the CL regardless. More money especially in the new set up.
Need to bring in some real signings, the young boys coming in is good for trading model, but it will be second best again with this current squad, crossing my fingers maybe one move will start some business, but honestly the stadium fiasco is the least of our worries, winning the league is what it’s all about and we need some tried and tested players coming in.

Yep same. CL qualification matters now more than ever or we will fall way behind Celtic. It's already a struggle as it is.
