Great job Ben, you're the only reviewer that examines ultra wides in detail. I'd be fascinated to know which are the best across the smartphones in 21/22 and/or see an ultrawide comparison between them eg. Find X5 Pro vs Vivo x70+ ? etc. Keep up the good work, even at 4am! Much appreciated, S
i just saw your video about the p30 pro vs s10 vs xs max vs v40, and was wondering how the competition evolved compared to huawei and this just dropped. very nice timing!!
I like the comparison, but I'd really have liked to see how the ultrawide in the Huawei would fare if you had used the night mode on it, since the other two trigger it automatically. Anyway, great video as usual. I like the Oppo a lot. Let's see how Honor and Vivo come with their new flagships. Cheers, Ben!
I used night mode too it didn't make any difference. Get your disrespectful ass out of here Ikleel I been testing Huawei before you even knew what they were
I prefer having some noise in the images, as that helps with detail retention in more tough areas like foliage. And the most importantly it doesn't give that smartphone processed look, which looks plasticy, when cropping in. A little of noise is good imo.
You can get rid of noise two ways, lower the ISO or use a smoothing/reduction algorithm. Both come at the expense of details, I also prefer to have a little noise.
Thanks ben so very much for working so hard to go out and really test the phones OUTSIDE. This makes the best way to make an informed buying decision. Love your work Ben 👍👌🙏
Hi Ben, this is one good comparison done. But if there are some free time, is it possible for you to pit night mode camera S22Ultra vs Note20ultra since S22Ultra is basically the Note replacement. Just for some study and research. Thanks first and stay safe
Ben bro, actually u need to activate AI option and use night mode at Huawei so you can get good pictures, the ultra wide has night mode but you need to activate the mode.
Night mode on Huaweis has been useless for a couple of years now. You can see he's replied below saying that night mode made zero difference and that's why he didn't include it
another nice review ben. I'm finding myself watching a lot of your videos just so I can see what HK is looking like these days (aside from your content of course).
Hey Ben, I hope you can make a low light camera comparison using tripod in the future video. I really want to see if there's any noticeable improvement in the photo quality with zero hand movement. Thanks!
Never thought I'd see the day Huawei would lose a camera comparison. The main reason smart phone cameras are what they are today is because of Huawei's innovation forcing others to compete. Still such a shame regarding Google services.
Most youtubers like me are mainly interested in ultrawide with wider FOV, also stability and low light. In this case the Oppo wins hands down. I know you just reviewed Vivo X70 Pro+ vs Samsung 22 Ultra but gutted it wasn't included in this one. Looking fwd to you getting a new Vivo X80 Pro+ as soon as it drops (hopefully not at 3:30 a.m.;) Cheers
The problem of UW lenses, S22 Ultra activates Auto night Mode. Find X5 Pro as well. But P50 Pro is only singleshot. Cause of this, P50 Pro has more parasite.
Superb job Ben👏👏. Putting these flagships through the paces. And the only way to test how capable they are, is by testing them in these changing low light conditions. Nicely done👌👌 as always! Get some rest Sir, you earned it🙂✌
Hey Ben I want a camera comparison between last year flagship Vivo X70 pro+ vs S22 ultra. Cauz x70 pro low light performance is very good so . Plz make this ben 🤩🔥🔥❤️
I appreciate the review and that you compared phones I am actually interested in. But I am disappointed that all the tests were just "point and shoot once"...clearly sometimes your hand was not too stable or the picture was obviously blurry or out of focus (especially the portrait pictures). In real life scenario where somebody wants a picture, he would check it if it is sharp or took 2 or 3 to be able to pick the better one. I would then compare the best pictures against each other, rather than blurry one which in real-life scenario would be taken more carefully.
Fair critique. I do do more in depth testing for my written articles at XDA developers. For UA-cam I would be more in depth but I do UA-cam entirely on the side so I sometimes simply don't have as much time. But I will try!
There's so much competition with these phone companies that we end up the winners. You really can't go wrong with any of these, but I had to get the S22 Ultra as I always get Samsungs "Note" phone because I am invested in the Samsung environment. Just found this channel and its great!
Oof, I remember (not long ago) when Huawei's pictures were a bit more yellow than the competition, and I found that to actually be preferable as it looked more happy(?) than the competition. I guess people complained and they "fixed" it by going the opposite direction. That's unfortunate...
Apologies if you don't like what I'm doing here, commenting on the video bit by bit while I watch it, but I wanted to mention that while Huawei's ultrawide pulls in the least light, I find it also does the best at making night shots look like they're taken at night. There's an allure to the lighting of the shots that reminds us just how unappealing it can be to have too much light taken in with these night shots, if they are "too" good. I feel like there should be a secondary mode in all of these super good sensors that takes night-mode pictures that are intentionally darker and emphasize the yellow or orangish glow of the street lights while also taking in a bit less light (or reconstructing the clarity and reduced noise of the brighter night-shots) and create photos that look darker and more appealing as "at night" photos. Perhaps just a personal preference, but I actually don't like when night-shots are too bright, too well light, making them almost look like they were taken in a MUCH brighter environment than they actually were.
I've noticed a theme here that, while you often criticize or count out the Oppo shots in comparison with the others, I actually feel the opposite about the pictures, feeling like the Oppo ones look less digital and more like organic film taken shots. I think Oppo's camera is taking some really fantastic night-shots.
Just finished the video, thanks for staying up late to make it. :D I still think Oppo's camera does the best job of taking pictures that look like they were taken with film. Samsung often has the "best" shots if we're just being analytical, but that doesn't always translate to what I consider the most pleasing shots to look at. A technical win, but not so much a "man, this is a GREAT photo!" win. Anyway, thanks again, Ben!
Then again no one takes photos in the pitch dark night anyways it's usually in less dark areas at night like the city life that's where all 3 cameras will also perform well, I think during the daytime all 3 cameras performance are equally good.
I have been using iPhone for 7 years and now I want to switch to Android phone with Samsung. When I thoroughly reviewed the newly released Android phones, the iPhone always seemed one step ahead. With the S22 Ultra, I can easily say that the Android phone is now one step ahead. When I examine a phone, I first look at camera comparisons. The camera is very important to me because of my job. I watched the comparison videos of many users, yes, in some modes, the iPhone may be more clear and prominent in bringing colors to the fore, but I think the iPhone kills the naturalness. I think the S22 Ultra gives a more natural look. Especially in the photos taken in sunny weather, the clarity of the clouds may be clearer than the iPhone, but let's not forget that the S22 Ultra offers them as a first impression as it comes out of the box and without any camera-specific updates. I think it will give much better results when Samsung gets an update in the future, especially for the camera. The S22 Ultra is truly amazing. The only problem for me right now seems to be the price. If I exceed it, there seems to be no reason not to buy the S22 Ultra 😊
sir, the results for P50 seems great. can you say that Huawei P50 is on par with the latest Samsung S22, Xiaomi 12S, Iphone 13, Vivo X80? But with some advantages to Samsung and Iphone considering its price
Thank you for the detailed review of these 3 phones. Interesting outcome. The portrait of the Chinese deity is not "Guan Gong". Honestly I do not know who but definitely not Guan Gong. 🙂

Oppo ultrawide have the same sensor as it's primary camera thats why it's stands out the rest of the compititions. Thumbs up to oppo. How ironic of s22 ultra for anti super clear lense got the flare on the light bulb street standing light aside for the two doesn't have flares around the light bulb.
I find the S22 Ultra generally better, however for the selfie the Oppo is the only one to have had its night mode activated and above all it uses the brightness of the screen as an additional flash.
I'm not surprised p50 pro's ultrawide camera doesn't perform that good, after all it only has 1/3" sensor. It's even more surprising that it doesn't produce "potato" quality under such extreme conditions

I really do like the X5 Pro, great images!! And great video btw :)
Ben you always go the extra mile and put that hard work in to bring us all great video content brother. Stay safe

It's amazing how Find X5 Pro camera is on overall camera night mode shots on. It is amazing. This is one of the best camera review and honest one.

Hi @paolo, I did take ultra-wide with night mode but it made no diff the shot looked the same so I cut it out from video to save time.
@@bensgadgetreviews I mean no disrespect. Sorry if you feel offended in anyway. I like ur videos. Keep up the good work.🙏🏽

Agree. On top of that they try to compensate the lack of real detail with pumping that local contrast slider all the way up.
Actually you're one of the honest UA-camr for sure, I always enjoyed your videos
Feels like the cameras on the P40 pro/+ are better than the p50 in terms of UW wide and zoom.
The Find X5 Pro is definitely a formidable opponent.
Hey thanks for actual content! Too many other youtubers just going over the same media specs over and over
Thanks for the dedication and the great work for getting the video out

Great review! What was the shutter speed? It seems the P50 had a much faster shutter speed since it did not use a special night mode.
Thank you Ben for taking your time!
But take some rest you look tired
Good video again ben brother, in my opinion Oppo ultrawide is the best out there, maybe The Best of these time phones.
Thanks!

main camera autofocus speed of Samsung galaxy s22u fast? Is the photo taking success rate high? Is it easy to be blur?
As soon as the notification pop up i hop up in the video . Am waiting for it eagerly 🤩🤩🔥❤️❤️ thanks Ben love your videos 🤩😍 love from India

I think US sanctions have prevented Huawei from using newer/better sensors
@@bensgadgetreviews Unfortunately I think you're right, Ben. Thank you for a brilliant comparison nonetheless.
I felt like Huawei seemed to overpromise yet their final product was never the best

I like how fast the oppo processes the night mode shots much quicker than the samsung.

SAMSUNG S22 ULTRA Amazing Camera
Wow, you walk out in the middle of the night just to picture at 3am.
Hi Ben, is the Huawei p50 pro that you used with the kirin or the snapdragon version ?
Try a camera comparison btw s22 ultra vs p50 pro

Thanks Ben, it would be interesting to see the Oppo without the support of its ISP
There's a Find X5 Pro Mediatek Dimensity 9000 Edition with no MariSilicon X inside.
How about Oppo Find X5 Pro vs Oppo Find X3 Pro?
Good to see you free from that quarantine hotel room, stay safe in HK Ben
