The idea of not being able to continue pursuing music throughout my life simply due to recklessness in my youth is unsettling. Fortunately, I'm glad there's enough awareness and gear available to prevent that nowadays! Thanks for watching and commenting.
So, I am a bass player using universal fit IEM's. Like you, I am constantly pushing them back in to try to close off the leaks that let's all of the low end bleed out. Are you still happy with your purchase, and would you recommend going to the UE RR model that is supposed to be totally flat sounding as opposed to the bass emphasized UE6 Pro's? Thank you for making this video!
Thanks for watching! I still have this model, and they work great. However, I wanted better clarity across all frequencies and upgraded to the UE18's about a year ago. Yes, they're much more expensive - but it was absolutely worth it. When I try them side by side, you can definitely differentiate frequencies between on the 18's. In a live setting, you'd be a bit harder pressed to tell the difference though. I generally use my UE6's for my E-drum kit or jam sessions outside of the house (where the financial costs of losing/breaking are comparatively lower), and use the UE18 for regular bass/guitar practice at home.
thanks for video. I'm thinking of buying these. but I have concern about fitting of custom IEM. Do you feel uncomfortable when you laughed, or kind of face movement? It's my only concern about customs.
Nope, no problems at all! To be fair though, I'm not a singer, which is where you'd probably put things like that to the test. I can feel them move around just a tiny bit if I really open my mouth wide.
Nice vid. I’m thinking of buying a set. But was wondering if it’s possible to switch cables left and right? I want to use it for dj purpose. My mixer sends my audio to my headphone to the left and the audio from the main out to the right. But I’m used to dj vice versa. So I was wondering if I could simply switch the left and right cables.🤷🏻♂️
For gaming or casual listening, no. I think the true value of in ears is isolation and being low profile, which matters when your moving around on a stage or in a practice setting. Unless you're playing games in a construction zone, I can't see much value in going custom for that. Plenty of universal fit IEM have great sound quality, just not the best isolation or streamlined fit.
Your phobia is justified. Glad they’re working out for you.

Hmm..not totally sure what you mean. They use a stereo TRS input, if that helps.
Would you recommend customs for casual gaming and music?
