- Construction and Showcase of a small base in the overgrown Louisville central park. Recorded in singleplayer mode with an Apocalypse scenario (1 year after Outbreak).
I decided to build a small base in Project Zomboid, almost in the center of Louisville, and for this purpose, I chose the huge central park because it is conveniently located between residential areas and the downtown with shops. Thanks to the large number of trees obstructing the view, zombies rarely come here, making the place quite safe. Also, this base location is quite unique, and no one mentions this place in the best base locations lists.

@@andersen240there’s a survivors mod for this but the ai gets you in more trouble than not most of the time 😂 I’ve come home to my base on fire, then running from a horde being tracked back to my base, eating all my food

I had a base there. It's a great location in Louisville, in the middle of the city but surrounded by forest. Anything you need is just a short car drive

@@aquarius5264 I don't build. I simply pick a spot that seems convenient to stay at and then I improve it. And EASILY lose interest. I want a reason to stay longer in a save file instead of feeling like my character is doomguy. 😒

I built something similar in the centre of the "Mansion square" park, just south of Evergreen school, then i furnished it with all the best furniture from those 3 and 4 storey mansions.

See, this looks fuckin awesome. I bought the game thinking I would get to do stuff like this but I can’t survive more then 10 minuets in game. I don’t know how you guys do it. I’ve watched all the tutorial vids on UA-cam and still I get mauled by zombies almost immediately.
The game has quite flexible difficulty settings. You can change the number of zombies and increase the amount of loot for example. There's nothing wrong with that. You don't have to learn the hard way. After all, the main thing here is to have fun.

i wish i could make bases like this but i have severe ADHD and i get bored like 20 minutes into any playthrough and end up starting a new one
On the bright side, at least you won't regret hundreds of wasted hours building something you don't even need. :D
Omg same its really hard for me too stay on one playthrough, try Multiplayer, it helps me alot doing stuff alone just knowing other people are around, just a randome Server with a few people on it should do the trick

Well, they'll add animals to the game so it won't be so lonely. Rats, cockroaches and other living creatures will roam everywhere. NPCs are planned to be added in build 43, it seems, so it will be somewhere in 2030 lol.

when the NPC update is out in B43 (I think?) this is gonna be the best survival game. Imagine finding a whole NPC settlement like this with guards or getting your little town with friendly NPCs raided by some bandits

So this is how the end of Project Zomboid looks like once you beat the game.
It seems so. A bittersweet ending in which there is no longer any need to fight and all that is left is to wait for the end of the world alone.
A pet dog or cat even a parrot or something would be a good addition to the game. Once you clear every single zombie out life should go back to normal like the sims, get a job get a house 😂 or maybe they could make a pre game to the apocalypse so you could choose from the careers and start off playing that for a bit

No mods needed at all. I've been building this for about a week. Moving furniture takes the most time because the character's inventory is too small.

i love this game but mid game is boring. Do you have any suggestion for it ? Should i turn on zombie respawning
If you are bored because it is too easy, then try reducing the amount of loot to a minimum in the sandbox settings, turn on zombie respawn, start the game without water and electricity. Also in the workshop there are many interesting mods that can change the game dramatically, so don’t neglect them. But to be honest, that's just the way the game is. Just take a break if you feel no motivation for playing. I sometimes leave it for a year or more, but then come back and play an additional 100 hours.

Mod name "Lifestyle: Hobbies" and you can find it in steam workshop.
Just imagine how mutch potential is go to waist by the fact that there’s no NPC…… I mean building a base as great as yours first and then having the ability to build and run a community with NPC survivors would add infinite possibilities to the game
We could go scavenge with them, interact with them , assigning role like guards and shift , farmer , care taker, manage them, maybe dealing with some intern beef , taking care of hapiness , spend time with them eating around a fire like in RDR2 for example, taking care of water, food , beds , commodities, moral, Manage ammo / food / meds / material stocks with them
Considering crowdy base equals louder noise so more infected would gather around the base with time and could represent an all time issue leading to no ending other than constantly regulate the infected population or getting swarmed and die fighting or manage to escape and start over ….

How long did this take you to build?
I don’t know actually, but it felt like it took forever because I had to level up my character from scratch and collect a bunch of resources. Couple of evenings I wasted only on building for sure. :)
