Definitely not photos! Cell phone pictures by far are better. The IDV Mini Cams have lasted over 5yrs. Could not believe it! $35.00 well spent...thx for watching.
Boblov have made the same for years and in my experience back up their products. The motion button is for picking up body motion when yr not home. Records for 10 mins.
Very informative video and great hands-on demo. Can you tell me if it can still be used while it's being charged? Also, do you have to remove the micro SD card to the video or can it be connected to a computer directly to view it?
I always remove sd card and insert in computer. Great mini cam especially when yur on the road. Clarity is amazing. Many of these cams will pop up " can not support".
You see the difference between good & bad. I just shoot the video. Do a transfer into Movie Maker. Do most anything. For $30.00 I have PROOF of how these mini cams perform. I have dashcams front and rear & only use/need this camera as a failsafe. A good place to put it is on your seatbelt-slide, from where you can slip it into a shirt pocket quite easily if necessary. Mine has also proved useful while exercising & being attacked by the occasional 'Crufts Champion' (I'm in SE Asia; Feral dogs are everywhere and can be a nuisance).

I’ve got a chrome laptop and the video comes up on my laptop but it’s just a black screen, the sound is there but I can’t see the picture on the video. I then had an update on my laptop now it says it can’t support the video so I can’t even watch the videos, any help?
You may have purchased a bad cam. I have several ans some work well and like you said can not support. Does yours have the letters IDV on the face of your cam? If not you may have a Knock Off. I use Profesional San Disk only! Try inserting in a different Laptop and see what happens. Did you press TOP recording button? Did you try Reset Hole on side? If you did all the above, may have gotten a bad cam. I have several and 1 I've used for over 4yrs. it is still functing great. You may need to send it back to China for replacement. Oh right I see, I did think it might of been dodgy tbh. It’s weird cause when I was taking pictures on it I could see the pictures on my laptop it just wouldn’t let me see videos. and no I don’t have no letters on the front of mine
I load my SD into my Toshiba and rarely had any serious issues. However did you insert a toothpick or small 📎 into the reset hole? This may solve the problems. I noted there are 2 different ones. It has to have IDV imprinted on front. If it does not, you got a copycat cam.
You could put it on visor, but you only get 3hrs. recording. Actually great for quick shots. 10 sec.to 30 sec. Is most commonly used. That is alot of short emergency clips. In other words you are approaching a Red light. If you catch it on yellow before it turns red you are free to go with no ticket. Why, because officers do not want to loose in court. All you do is show police officer that you video that light. He will tell you to leave!
I researched the SD card problems. (Could Not Format) discovered if you downloaded music & video from another source is on that SD card. May pop up and (Copyright Protected). Which ever SD you are using, continue to use that SD card only for your IDV CAM. Don't get SD cards mixed up and you will not have any issues make sure your HC switch on side is in ⬆️ direction unlocked or you will not be able to transfer your videos. Hope this helps. For the price, simply no competition for IDV. .take sure it has IDV if not, you got a (Knockoff Look Alike) 😢

Is there software that i need and im just not seeing it, or can you bring the video up on your computer without any somehow?

They do make a flat bottom. You can check my earlier videos and shows one. I peel the tape off bottom and attach to CD and set on my dash. Works great!

I'm a bit of a luddite & managed to add 1hr &15 or so mins to the actual time on mine but the date etc is otherwise correct. It arrived in China time (EBay) which is why I tampered with it.

This is not rocket science. I carry it in my top pocket just in case I need a quick shot. Like a TAG#. In 5 seconds or less. Every second counts if ones life is in jeopardy! A cheap price to pay to save your life or perhaps someone else. Weight is no more than an Ink Pen. Some think it is Bluetooth. As they are starring into cam. Got people fired because I hit record and caught a salesman lying! Thanks for watching.
I carry the IDV all the time. Especially if I am approaching a dangerous intersection. Cell has to turn on. Then hit the correct setting. How many times have you got a Pic instead of Video!

4yrs. & still great video & sound is good. Be sure it is imprinted on cam IDV knock offs do not function properly!

The resolution is good but the only thing annoying is stabilisation. But we arent goin to get that yet for this price.

IDV will pop up on Ebay. China list it in all different ways! Thanks for the tip. My Grouper fishing trip I used the IDV not bad at all.
