Thanks for the tip your patch job idea was better than mine I was going to replace the whole floor but I think I'll just replace the parts that are bad patch it in thanks.
Shouldn’t be a problem as long as you do not touch the tank with the welder or arch if it’s pretty much touching it I’d recommend dropping or draining the tank

I have a similar repair I wanted to do on my F150. My only concern is the gas tank is a foot away. Was your gas tank also close to the repair?

Why didn't you clean the patch?
That green color is a weld-through primer. It is designed to avoid contaminating the weld so it can be left in place.
