One of their best, pret-a-porter be damned....this one's in the top 10. And for the record, "Sweethearts Together" & "Moon is Up" ARE GREAT SONGS, screw critics
One of the best bands in the world, there will never be anything like them again, just like Led Zeppelin, Lynerd Skynerd, Allman Bros, ZZ Top,Thin Lizzy, etc etc.
The first time I heard this song, I was waiting in line at a carwash. It blew me away! I had to search for the song high and low. Found it on the Pret-a-porter soundtrack CD. My favorite song on that CD.
This song typifies what the Rolling Stones give to popular music. Therir blues interpretation. They created Country rock early 70s Neil young The Allmans added to Country as well.
@@stonesfan4 Our classic rock station in Detroit played it a little for the same reason. I ended up buying the CD single of You Got Me Rocking just so I could have it. Should've been included on Voodoo Lounge.
@drewchristianhansen Lol ... yeah I suppose your right.. I did go pretty far in pointing that out. Certainly not to disrespect anyone. I was just noting how the Stones always know all ways and walks of life very well is all.
I checked half a dozen of those "lyrics" sites and they all give the last line of the second verse as: "Well you call this bisque, well I'm leavin' home" - which seems idiotic. Surely he sings "when you call this bliss, well I'm leavin' home" or have I heard it wrong all these years?
Punto.
When they signed the deal with Virgin Records, they had some residual obligations they had to fulfill to Columbia Records. This song went to the “Pret-a-Porter” soundtrack, and their re-do of “Honest I Do” from the “Stripped” sessions went to the “Hope Floats” soundtrack.
A great tune, and one of their “copycat” songs....they clearly had Steve Miller’s “Rock’n’Me” on top of mind here. (See also “Highwire” having the same chord progression as “You Shook Me All Night Long” during the verses.)
Lol!. Always thought, this was a great out-take from The Voodoo Lounge sessions. With respect, and certainly not to offend anyone, but the whole song is so in the life of what someone might call "white trash". The window, the cat, beer, a hard workin guy coming home from a machine shop or something. Too lazy to even do his part on the girl, she has to do him all in their trailer (with the cat lol!!!). Ahhhh boy, The Stones ... English blokes who are so worldly, yet know all walks of life..
Absolutely underrated song what a hidden gem
Maybe "underrated" should be forbidden when you're talking about the Stones now :)
the rolling stones greatest rock n roll band of all time
fucking great song.. and no recognition.. crazy. Better than. Anything today
Definitely should have been included on VOODOO LOUNGE. Don't understand why it wasn't. Such a fantastic song. Walter B.
They will do it in the coming months
They should have left off "Jugular" and put this song in it's place.

How in the f--k was this a B Side and not released as a single?
Our rock radio station in Pgh gave it some airplay in the summer of ‘95, because of its presence on “Pret-a-Porter”.
@@stonesfan4 Our classic rock station in Detroit played it a little for the same reason. I ended up buying the CD single of You Got Me Rocking just so I could have it. Should've been included on Voodoo Lounge.

Always wondered if Wyman was on this... or what his last tune was...
カックいい〜😆
Never understood why this didn’t make voodoo lounge. It’s way better than a song like baby break it down
Baby Break It Down is great. A slowed down version of Cool and the Gang's Celebrate.

I’ll never understand why this didn’t make voodoo lounge
The Music Junkie because they released it for the pret a porter movie
