I love Hawaiian silky. I’ve been using it in my natural hair for 12yrs and I love it. Would have never thought to use it in crochet hair. The shampoo and conditioner is great also.❤
Synthetic hair isn't porous so it doesn't soak up product (its basically thin strips of solid plastic), but thats why we need to apply these products so that it will coat and lubricate each strand to keep the tangling less. I have not used the Hawaiian silky because I was always happy with fabric softener, but Lia has been recommending it for years and I did go look for it in the beauty supply at one point LOL
I do have to say this stuff was amazing when I wore crochets back to back for three long years this was my go to for a little while and then at some point I don’t know if it might’ve been the type of hair on Chinese diet it just wasn’t doing as well. I did OK for my hair. Did give me a lot of buildup if I didn’t dry and effectively and soak my hands very thin and low density but it was really good and some crochet hairs responded better to it. I’m so glad I still made it. I just picked me up my first three packs of hair Anthony spray moisturizing Hawaiian silky for the first time in two years I’m excited.
OMG.... It's a miracle.. I can't believe I was sleeping on this.. I'm about to buy a case of it..tomorrow morning.. it makes the synthetic hair look natural.. but why did I buy it two weeks ago..and just tried it 🙃
This is a great product for your natural hair. Keeps your hair soooo moisturized. I dilute mine by putting 3 or 4 pumps in a spray bottle filled with water. I’ve actually never used it straight out the bottle like that. Might try it.
I love Lia Lavon crochet videos. I use Hawaiian Silky but it don't work on all synthetic hair same as unscented Downey mixture don't work on all synthetic hair. I sprayed the Downey mixture on newly installed Zury crochet hair and that hair turned into one HUGE fuzz ball. I had to take out that crochet hair immediately to save the braid pattern. The lesson I learned is all synthetic hair is not created equal.
I have been using this for a couple of years. Where have you been Sis! This stuff is wonderful for crochets. Thanks for doing video. Hopefully I’ll still be able to find it in my area.
It works beautifully.... but..but. if you are one that mat get breakouts on your skin...your back and shoulders... this will make breakouts happen. Make sure the twist dry completely and try not to have the hair lay on your skin directly.. spring and summer is coming..so..alalternate between this and a mouse if you're wearing your shoulders and back out. Just know..with wavy crochet hair you have to twist and trim it every day... high high maintenance
🇬🇧🙋🏾♀️I've used this before, it's good. Not all crochet is equal though. There are some I've tried and Hawiian did nothing for it. I've also used a water/conditioner mix on crochet which works on some and not on others. Some use mousse, silicone spray and various concoctions! There is no one size fits all so don't completely ditch the downy! 👍🏾
You are so right it doesn't work on all forms of crochet hair and after a while it causes a bluid up and it appears to make the hair look heavy. But over all its a good product😀
@@vannahs I never went and bought this product. I went ahead and just took the pearl curl out lol. My shortest lasting crochet style ever! 3 weeks was being generous. It looked horrible after 1 week. I still have some packs left so if I decide to give it another go, I'll buy the product

I need to go pick this up. I have Pearl curl in my hair and I am on week 3 and it looks horrible. Super frizzy and tangled
I just installed
Pearl curl last night and I’m scared it’s frizzy already. I hope this product works

How many packs of hair did you use
So how old is the installment?
2 weeks
Lawd JESUS take the wheel😅😆 I went out a got the big big big downy now I'm off to the store again! Gurl coins are being spent!
😂😂😂 I’m going to test it out on other crochet styles as well! We may still need the downy lol
Okay. The product just arrived from Amazon. I'm about to this this....now!
How did it go?
@@iMonaMission2 it didn't help at all. I returned the product.
they look like you just put them in
Fabric Softener is extremely flammable. Synthetic hair is already flammable... you are basically a walking fireball waiting to happen. That's scary
I mean… just don’t stand next to any fire and you’re good to go. 😂
