I now have 186 new ways to greet my friends.
😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
bein' an auld c**t, there wasn't one I didn't know already... but still, it was a nice trip down memory lane, "mongo"...lol, ain't used that in a while, I have to admit 😂
Nice one!
😅😂😂❤
About half of them were in regular use in the playground in the 1970s. How did we ever grow up normal?
This ain't normal...don't think Saxon words are at fault in any case
Obviously you are not normal! I speak as a 70+year old woman. Love Dominic and the way he gets to the heart of this ridiculous crap
We are Gen X, we are not "Normal" or "PC" and I for one am glad of it!
Define "normal"
You are being sarcastic , right
The death of comedy would be the true death of freedom.
As a foreign speaker of English I am tremdendously grateful for this great compilation - never did I have the opportunity to broaden my vocabulary that easily!
Perhaps this should be on the English as a Foreign Language course syllabus.
Rogers thesaurus should be your next purchase
Please, stay in the country you currently reside in
quick test of your English skills:
Fill in the blank: The referee's a ------.
As a native speaker I have to confess that this song increased my own vocabulary too.
The ofcom committee have obviously never been in a car with me whilst stuck in traffic going through Nottingham at peak hours, 186! Pah!
go on then.. share the rest.. ;8)
😂😂😂😂😂
Add some Euro disco backing and it could be Britain's next Eurovision Song Contest winner!
I’d Vote for It.
We're all far right now on the b side?
That would be interesting given it's broadcast before the watershed, so it would be transmitted like "...BLEEP and BLEEP and BLEEP and BLEEP..."
I'd watch the Euro for the first time in decades to hear that🤣🤣🤣
It would accurately describe the contestants
I grew up in the 80s and these words/terms were part of everyday use.
No one got angered by them.
We were brought up to be angered by what a person did - steal, cheat, lie, assault, rape, molest, kill, etc.
Nowadays people have little else in life but become professionally offended perma-victims.
I'm an Aussie and only discovered Dominic a few days ago. What a genius! As a 77yo I'm glad I grew up in times when we were (almost) free to do what we wanted and people could laugh at themselves. It's hard not to let the idiots grind you down ...
This is probably not the fluffy self-affirming outcome that Ofcom was hoping for... 🙄
LOL - Comedy (especially Satire) is one of the best peaceful defences against intolerance.
Heroic level satire activated .. ..
It's stunning to think that your Government is happy to spend your hard earned taxes having something like this published.
Who knows how many hours must have been spent thinking of all the possible rude words to include.
The only good point is that it will increase everybody's vocabulary.
Months not Hrs
To be fair, though, months can be counted in hours.
It probably didn't take as long as we think. Ofcom probably only had to print off a couple of dozen email complaints against themselves to get the whole set.
@@zacmumblethunder7466yep.
The 21st Century's take on Carlin's 7 Dirty Words You Can't Say On TV. Totally raised the bar 👏
He was a Genius that man
The most offensive word of the lot....ofcom.
I’d love to hear what you actually think Ofcom is and does.
I'm picturing a committee sitting around a table thinking of what words to include and how to categorize them.
I bet they spent hours agonising over words like 'queer' which can be pejorative when used by some people but not when used by others.
Without sniggering.😊
That’s reduced my vocabulary by about 80 percent then.
@@LondonfogeyI grew up with the words queer & gay, & I still use them for their original purpose, not for for what a certain set of the community now use them for, & a rainbow is still just a rainbow to me, I will use it for no other purposes. Anyway I am grateful to ofcom for teaching me some new words I didn’t know, I shall be sure to use them as often as I can 😂
I think it was a half 'arsed' and ham 'fisted' attempt by Ofcom to control free speech, probably signed off by Arnold J 'Rimmer'!
186 Words to use more than ever...
Some Great words there when you want to feel superior 👍 the colours are fading on your swastika BTW
How did I miss this gem a year ago? Best get on and share it now😁😘👍
Same! All praise be to the algorithm!!!!
I'm just laughing because I can imagine some 1,000 years from now an archaeologist will dig out this pamphlet and there'll probably be whole radio shows, museum exhibits, . university courses dedicated to the offensive language of 21st century Britain. Historical dramas will contain as many of them as possible. Not to mention the reenactment scene and all the LARPers gallivanting around the countryside screaming "BELLEND!" at each other.
As a safety precaution, I never pick my nose without a hard hat, steel-toed boots, a hi-vis jacket and a safety harness.
You forgot having a crap without scaffolding 🤣
How very British 😊
You forgot safety glasses.
@@stevemartindale8745 Soon it'll be illegal to pick one's nose without first taking a college course and buying a licence. To be renewed every third year.
Level 5 cut resistant gloves!
came for the song, stayed for the comments. thx for expanding my vocabulary Gentlemen!
I could add a few more to that list... Ofcommunist is a mild one. Spunk-bubble is one of my favourites, which describes a useless workmate.
Don't forget "knob jockey" to describe the management.
@@elliotspencer2648 nor the shit-weasels 😉
@@elliotspencer2648knob jockey means gay
I use "turd-bucket" for bad drivers...
Magnificent - I heard this three days ago but have just stopped laughing enough to type this! OFCOM have really lost the plot here. How much did this cost the tax payer to produce this? All they have done here is give us a dictionary of abusive terms to choose from and be entertained with. Great song Dominic!
We all know those words anyway and I bet we all could add some. Total lunacy.
Taking it away would certainly make it easier to know who exactly you'd want to stay away from
@@deb7834oh I’m sure! This educates on a few terms I’ve never heard , being from the US. And why didn’t they consult ordinary working class people. I believe we could have added at least another page of offensive words to their list!
With the internet and world wide communication, I’m surprised they didn’t come up with an international version so we would know how to offend somone in the US and other countries!!
This was put in a auto-playlist called 'music for children...' I don't know what youtube was thinking...
trying to get him cancelled, I assume.
Very educational...I have increased my vocabulary. Cheers 👍
And this is why I love Dominic's music. Free speech and entertaining too.
Let's make this the Christmas number one.
Teachers have a song: there's only one "F" in Ofcom, one "F" in Ofcom, one "F" in Ofcom...
The whole of Ofcom is a F up!
We need an an updated version of the US amendment to stop the government forcing its belief system on others against their conscience,
I thought of ofcom was “oh for christ sake office monkeys” idgi all these bs anbrevinames anymore
OFSTED actually
@@davidbarber9832 Oh, yeah, my mistake.
Are they all Fulham fans?
Just completed my 20th listen 😂and am still belly laughing out loud.! Seriously, thank you for being a shining beacon of wisdom and humour in this increasingly ridiculous and frankly depressing world.
Gringo is on their list? We literally have a Mexican restaurant chain here named Gringos.
So they have their restaurant names an offensive term. They can do that.
And a clothing brand
How dare those sombrero botherers use that as their restaurant name?
We're the Gringos, not them.
They are Whities, so that's ok 😅
Ok. These are forbidden now.
Let's invent many more!😂
I like your thinking.
No, don't comply! Keep using them!
@@AudreySmallcombe❤
I'm a bit confused. We can't say Wanker, but are we ok calling someone a wank stain or saying that someone has wanked away all the money?
Bollocks are banned but is a solitary bollock ok? As in "Oi, bollock brain!"
There's a surprising number I'd not heard of... thanks for the education!
Ships are now being referred to as "it" instead of "she" so as not to offend "Them" You couldn't make it up.
Thank God for satire and Dominic Frisby.
I like big boats and I can not lie! :)
I like to offend ships.
Oh no the ships don’t have vaginas any more??? What ever will you do!! Now you can’t wank to ships any more incase they mite have a dick cuz hey if the ship does have a dick you’re a puff.
@@ankavoskuilen1725 I pinch their wide transoms! :)
Will 'rowlocks' become a banned word? especially when associated with 'oars!'
Most enlightening. I bet the people who made the guide had fun while pretending they didn't!
I do think Ofcom should tell us which words they rejected as not offensive enough to make the grade.
Brilliant! This song did as much as Roger's Profanisaurus to enhance my vocabulary.
I keep my copy of the Profanisaurus in the garage for ease of reference when working on rusty old cars.
Not sure people realize what an accomplishment this is. This is good stuff.
That's pretty much my daily vocabulary
I may need counselling after this!
New song for the school disco
I appreciate the effort they put in to make a list of all of the funny words that I didn't know until now.
Can you imagine the meeting where they decided what all the offensive words should be? Just more government telling us what to do.
Guess I'm going to have to change my password again... *sigh*
I didn’t hear jobbie jabber on that list. I shall continue to use this then. 😂
Fudge packer was there though not quite as direct admittedly as the wonderfully alliterative and still apparently allowed Jobbie Jabber.
Maybe JJ is a bit regional to have made it onto a UK list? Does it have much currency outside Scotland?
And shirt lifter made it on to the banned list? Despite the fact that shirt tails that might need lifting are rarely a feature of men's shirts these days and haven't been a major thing for many decades.
Presumably it's a Scottish colloquialism - because I heard it in Scottish as I read it!!
that’s new to me, what does it mean?
I am so glad I saw this before it gets taken down.
I am such a fan of Doms barbed humour.
If only people undertood the actuall geniuses of this 21th century Jester.
Outstanding! Love the monk imagery :)
A few of those have been hurled ar me. Now a song to laugh about it. Excellent work Dominic. :) As a society, we need this sort of pillory for the "nanny state" to be able to cope with life. :)
How much fun it must have been to be on the deliberation team. A video of their arguments would be hilarious.
Love it, love it, love it ... just makes me want to say them even more. Thankyou.
It is now the law that you have to write a musical!
Two months on and I just can't stop watching this. So bloody good 🤣🤣🤣
Well Dominic, if you're going to be slammed, banned and damned, you might as well go full tilt. Any plans for an extended remix?
Have fun doing this one live
Thank you for making this video. It's really good to expand my vocabulary I'm going to use every word as much as I can.
This popped up in my recommended and I clicked on it out of interest. I was delighted when I realised it was Dominic once again.
I laughed so hard I teared up! 🤣Even across the pond this is gold!
Brilliant! They should make the kids at school learn this.
forwarded to my little niece
Another brilliant song. Mind you, this is a great opportunity to bring back much-missed phrases and words. Time to dust off ‘well, I never did,’ ‘I’ll go to the foot of my stairs,’ ‘blimey’ and so on.
Just brilliant, on 3rd listen already, hard to listen for laughing 😂😂😂👍👍
In case the author was struggling to find a rhyme, it’s ‘trigger’.
....the idea of OFCOM existing is an affront to everything in my blood.
Aw...I was hoping to see the lyrics in the description box. I couldn't catch them all. Thanks for the new ones!
Use the subtitles, it's not AI generated so it's accurate.
Or go to the transcript. (Description - more - scroll down to transcript). Maybe you can't do this on a phone, I wouldn't know.
@@lobstermash Thank you, so much. Brilliant.
It doesn't take long to think up a few words and phrases not included in that list. I shall use this to enrich my language online without sanction.
Bloody brilliant 👍👏👏👏
Thank you , my laughter just kept on growing until I was crying by the end. Flipping brilliant😂
Brilliant, funny and very witty. Thats 186 words I want to use 👍😉
I still use 'offensive terms' no matter the consequences. I have had children ask if I was a racist, and I replied that their question made them a racist! How many brain cells exploded that day?
I’m sending you the bill for the hernia operation I now need from laughing so much. 😂😂😂😂
Frisby is a genius!
You made my day.
Like looking in an old dictionary today ....... all the good words not there. In a hundred years they will be refencing your song for the unspeakable words of 2024.
Thank you OFCOM for giving such a concise list of words for dialogue in my writing.
Gammon is on the banned list? I am surprised.
It’s a pork product, hence offensive to Muslims.
Probably due to George Gammon and his "3 quick easy steps!"
Will we have to go into Tesco's and ask for 500g of the the G - word?
Me and my mates won't have much left. Great stuff.
As a non-english speaker it is surprising how many of the words I know. It would be much more instructive if the list could give the meanings of these words so that I could broaden my knowledge and make sure I use these words in the proper context.
As an English speaker some decades old, I can admit to not knowing what many of them mean. Your imagination is probably a good guide, though how "3-legged" got banned I can't imagine.
@@douglas7000the third leg might not refer to an actual leg!😮
Yeah, but who is getting offended about being called that?@@ThatsViews
Maybe Jake the Peg got offended
@@douglas7000 Think, Warwick Davies!
Fani?! 🤣🤣🤣 I’ve been told what it means over in the UK but in the USA it means buttocks. Over here there is a big hullabaloo regarding a District Attorney in Fulton county Georgia. Her name is FANI, although all the media is choosing to pronounce it “Fawni”. So if you all hear your media talking about her and calling her “Fawni” just know it’s actually pronounced Fani.
Extremely funny and very witty.
Last night on coronation street , they broke the rules on what words you shouldn’t use 😂
The last time I saw Coronation Street they broke all the rules on what faces you should use. I've never seen such a bunch of smacked arses.
George Carlin's "seven dirty words" sketch would be a 3-hour special today.
Love it! I notice these words also fit quite well into a different tune. I'll give you a hint..... "when the dogs bite, when the bees sting, when I'm feeling sad...". I have no life.😂😭
The thin end of the wedge is 186 words thick!
Excellent !
...Gonna make a point of using them more often.
...Maybe start dropping them into casual conversations 👍👍
One of the best videos of 2022!
Up there with 17 million F*** offs for legendary status!
Now I know how to formally address my MP.
You’re quickly becoming my favorite daygo.
Remember when it was seven?
This is quite brilliant.
May it go viral
sticks and stones may break my bones... but names will never hurt me...
I can't breath laughing 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Some GROUP of persons, and managers got wages and bonuses for creating this gem of a book
"And who paid for it? Joe C***, that's who!" as a former colleague was fond of saying in such circumstances, while pointing at himself in an aggrieved manner.
paid by the taxpayer
I've added this to some of my playlists, summers coming, open windows. Oh dear.
I needed this this morning, l laughed until l cried 😂😂😂
Everyday is a skool day. What a great excuse for a bit of swearing! Thanks dick milk, brilliant as ever!
How has this not got more views it was absolutely hilarious. Just to add though I was utterly offended by one word and that was OFCOM what an evil horrid little word.
Absolutely fantastic! Thank you for bringing words which I've not used for a long time though some I still use now (at close friends!)
Top class ... use most of them every day because there is no room for the woke in the motor trade ...
I am retired now, but spent many years in (mostly) male only engineering drawing offices. Woke then was what you did before you got out of bed to go to work.
downloading that book to use at work!
Scotland just adopted this for their new hate speech law. Word for word, i swear.
Can hardly wait for the Karaoke version.
Incredible. Bravo to you
Didn't know my extensive vocabulary of profanities was excluded, still, glad they missed a few of my favourites .
