That’s what it’s all about Chris. Super chilled and relaxing night out in the outdoors. I often have my best nights sleep in a hammock. Thanks for taking us along on your adventure👌
Nothing weird about being in tune with nature mate. I find it all fascinating and can't beat the seasons changing and noticing the transition from season to season absolutely love it, I could never live in a country that has the same climate all year round with little change to the seasons. Great video Chris 👍
Very atmospheric Chris, the camera used on this one took real nice shots pal. Nice kit the Ticket To The Moon gear isn’t it. You looked very chilled out and a don’t blame you. Nice selection of craft ales too pal. I still haven’t found the perfect lying position in a hammock yet haha, you looked comfortable though mate. Thanks for the upload as always, great to see you out pal
Be sure to get at least 11’ long and 56” or so wide hammock, and try using a down underquilt and top quilt or opened up sleeping bag, the length of the hammock is crucial in order to get a great and comfy horizontal lay diagonally across the diagonal of the hammock. If using a ridge line, 83% length of the overall length hammock should give a very good starting point in order to having enough sag in the hammock to permit a comfortable lay across the diagonal. Unfortunately there are lots of hammocks out there which are too short to be comfortable, which is of course ultimately a source of disappointment to their users. Good kit set up well will give you one of the best ever sleeps outdoors (or indoors!) imaginable🖐🏻🏴
Lovely video Chris, actually makes you want to get out there and enjoy the bringing of spring, excellent audio mate. The kit looks great, never been a dangler, but I'd love to try it, thank you as ever for sharing a great camp mate😊
Nice film Chris, I'm with ya about talking to the camera and conversation lol 🙂🙂. Looks a great set up that . I've never been a fan of hammocks, just doesn't seem to suit me but I keep revisiting them every now n then 🙂. Can't beat a nit of flora n fauna n the wildlife that comes with the Great Outdoors. You got some cracking footage too. Nicely filmed 👍. Atb Rick n Billydog
Alright mate, cheers. Hammocks are definitely a niche I think, but if you can find one that suits you and is quick and simple to put up, I reckon they would be okay for you. Main benefit being getting you up and off the ground which opens up spots which would otherwise be unsuitable for camping. That area is great for birdlife - heard two cuckoo's now and can't beat the sound of the curlew rolling across the moors. ATB pal .
Fab relaxing vid Chris & a very enjoyable watch after working two 12hr night shifts over the weekend …I also was drinking the double hazy Jane whilst watching ( my fav beer at mo ) & I can also tell you get the 4 for 3 offer on craft beers 👍 ps not tried the Heathen hazy yet ( in your last vid & many others..but will try soon ) Laters
Thanks Chris , as per lovely calming vid ,, great set up ,, you don’t half make those beers look good lol 😂,, I’m on a dry month at the mo ,, not so bad really easier than I thought after the first couple of days ,, still suffering from my ptsd anxiety so your vids are always a little tonic for me ,, I’m off the wine and beer and I am trying something completely different ,, Don’t know if you know of it ,, « Microdosing psilocybin « .. very interesting and You know it may just be bloody working ! Tried everything before and no joy ,, so watch this space ,,, stay cool pal , look forward to your next vid . Neil ,, ps ( weather is getting good here in Finistere ! You are welcome to bring your Hammock to our Woods any time if you ever fancy a trip to France ,, always free beer and Red at our place lol 😂..
Great video mate, I took the hammock out for the first time in ages a couple of days ago for an afternoon dangle, I'm admitting defeat with it though, I just can't seem to get comfortable in them. I think I'm sticking to a tent and tarp combo for woodland camps. Tha is for sharing mate
@@MCMOutdoors it's the frontline superlight mate. I've tried all different angles and configurations and I'm always uncomfortable after a while, I'm a side sleeper too. I looked at the haven and the amok so I could lie flat but they're very expensive and the weight of a decent 4 season tent so I don't see the point
Try an 11 foot long hammock, doesn’t need to be exoensive - mine (Tukeke) cost a little over £23, best money I ever saved and put the saved money toward a good quality down underquilt. The flat lay you can have across a longer hammock is a revelation. A structural ridge line from end to end of the hammock set at around 83% of the hammock length will help dial in the right amount of sag in the hammock. Best most comfortable sleep system going! Don’t skimp on the down UQ, an old sleeping bag can do for on top of you, but there is nothing like being cocooned in down quilts. Enjoy!
Enjoyed this one, Chris. I started wild camping last year, and still haven't plucked up the courage to go alone yet, no idea why but this inspired me to just get out and enjoy it for what it is. This was a really relaxing watch 👍🏼 looking forward to more videos coming. ATB, Lisa 😀
What do you think about the "look what ive found" food? We like them and buy them by the dozen online and it works out cheaper. Just watching you about to eat it.
@MCM Outdoors omg Chris. I'm glad I got ours when I did. They're either out of stock or charge even almost £30 for 6. I got mine lower than £2 each pouch. I can't find 12 pack buys now.
Such a lovely video Chris as always, thank you for sharing. Could you recommend a light weight synthetic 3 season sleeping bag for wild camping. I am gathering gear to one day brave a wild camp. I did a cook in the woods the other day with your 'dont over think it' advice in my head. Appreciate you, thank you.
Great video, Chris. So relaxing and peaceful. Over the time I have been subscribed and following your channel I have gone back and watched pretty much all of your videos. Have to say the progress and improvements you have made with your content and editing is quite impressive IMHO. One question I have is on the pillow you were using. Noticed you fluffed it up. Is it down filled? Looked comfortable. Keep up the wonderful work. Always look forward to your adventures.
Hi Denis - pillow is by Thermarest and it's their "compressible pillow" a lovely and comfortable bit of kit. Always a top night out in a hammock and thanks for the kind words and for watching 🏕️👍
This is so good mate. The perfect combination of relaxed footage with a load of interesting and useful info. Thought the choice of shots and audio was excellent. Didn’t expect to watch it all, but found myself cheering on and being happy about your shots like someone watching a footy match when their team is winning. Haha how sad 🤣 Brilliant mate. Enjoyed it. Made me want to get my hammock out again
Haha, cheers Chris. Always nice to be able to take some better filming gear out on occasion. Can't beat a nice hammock camp - especially in good weather, a nice and simple way to enjoy the outdoors. Looking forward to what you can do with that new gimbal mate! ATB, Chris
You’ve come a long way in the past 12 months Chris, fine tuning your approach to wild camping, endlessly entertaining and a joy to watch, we’ll done fella👍
