I actually saw a video on this a few years ago and it's because both genders have taken on stalking behavior which used to be seen as creepy but is now normal because everything is online.
A clear example from this is 20 years ago if a guy was saying these things to a girl he could look at her and see her horrified reaction and most guys would pivot or cut the conversation and learn to never do it again. This guy isn't reading how disinterested this girl is because she keeps replying to him so he thinks he's doing well.
An example for women is when they film themselves complaining about men. Many of these writings can still be found, some in a couple videos he posted. Man that goes back to like 2014 I think. I've been here since 2012 when he was making Day Z Fun Tactics videos...lol he figured out how to swim through the ground in a zombie survival game. And whoever is in a similar situation, please leave them, it isn’t going to get better. Someone will love you, and you shouldn’t have to settle for someone like that. i know how scary it is, even the confrontation, but if they still beg you back or continue on doing those, they don’t truly care for you. (keep this in mind especially if you have low self esteem/confidence. Im in the same boat)

Almost makes me wish I would've saved all the thirsty cringey messages from when I was on the dating apps. Charlie, these guys are unbelievably common. I don't know if some guys deal with it as often but, I remember it being bad. It's one reason why I almost always asked to have a call right away instead of texts because for some reason like 90% of them were absolutely terrified of a real conversation. Thankfully my current bf proved not ALL men are like this and we had pleasant conversations consistently. Talks that didn't turn into anything but laughs and good memories.

it seems to be a male thing. im in a poly relationship and date all genders and can say its mostly a guy thing. I think there's a lot of men out there that grew up deeply insecure and not knowing how to communicate with people properly and that comes out in a lot of different ways later in life
