@@fefemyluv Yes me too. I realise how much information I miss out on. But also I notice what details are omitted in the summaries and overviews too. It really helps me develop a better picture, without delving into commentaries. As I plan to read the whole JPS Tanakh which is 1624 pages, so commentaries will unnecessarily lengthen that already long endeavour.

@@cua7180 does the Holy spirit have adhd medication to make people concentrate better? Remember back then, certain learning difficulties would have been said "a man inflicted with devils" . The Bible is limited to the writers from the second ecumenical Council in 525 ad after the first 333 ad if I remember, after the pagan emporers sol invictus burnt them all so when constitine wanted God back in the picture he had to employ some really creative bishops to fill in the gaps where many had forgotten the original scripts. This is why the Muslims think they have a better Bible only because theirs wasn't watered down, raped and pillaged and reedited worse than the brothers grim to childrens nursery rhymes.

I actually think that Born-Again Christians are similar to the people of Israel. Christians, like the original Israelite people, are supposed to act as a representation of God on earth. Our actions in love and obedience to God's will are supposed to set us apart from others who make idols. But with the death and resurrection of Jesus, the problem of a hardened heart is addressed for eternity, and through the softening and purification (or re-birth, as I like to call it) of the heart, we can now encourage once sinful people to enter the Kingdom of God the way that Lord Jesus came to earth and purified people by touching their lives.
    Or something like that.

      ISAIAH 5 - DEUTERONOMY
“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”
      (Isaiah 5:20)
      WORDS BY: FATHER
"Never make holy what is not and never mistaken wrong what is right. My children do this so often because they live carnally which makes them justify their flesh. Sin and darkness does this and when you have been accustomed to it, you will begin to view things the way you see fit. Your perception of reality can be so far off from My truth, even to the point of denying My very words written in the Bible. When I gave the law the second time, I cemented it in Israel’s heart so they could differentiate and not mistaken right from wrong. This is no different from the words I speak and the truth I reveal to you. I give them to you so you may not fall into ignorance. If that’s so then why are certain truths obvious to some whereas others find it so easy to deny them? Hardness of heart. It is the same occurring problem since the beginning and it is why many people can live comfortably with evil and at the same time accuse the righteous for living the way of the gospel.
If you want to begin seeing the way I view things, untainted, humility is your answer. Today if you hear My voice do not harden your heart. Humble yourself to My voice in your daily life. I speak to you in more ways than you realize and if you have the eyes to see you will see Me in everything around you. You’ll see Me speak through others directly and indirectly, you’ll see Me speak through the things you do, and you’ll see Me speak through creation itself. Because you choose to give ear to My voice and not harden your heart, My perception of reality will be your perception and you’ll be able to say with all confidence, “The Earth is filled with His glory.”

      DEUTERONOMY
      Thursday 20th August 2020
Father: "There are many things throughout the Bible that I can reinstate to you but one of the important ones that is not commonly taught on is the honouring of the fathers, lest you forget. Just like the soldiers fighting in World War 2, sacrificing their lives to give you the peace that you have today, your fathers of old laid down the foundations for you to have spiritually what you have today - the increase of knowledge, the abundance of wisdom, and the access to cross over in the new. Your generation is very quick to forget the freedom your fellow soldiers gave you because it has become complacent and takes everything for granted. But worse than this, you are quick to forget what your spiritual fathers sacrificed for you so you might walk in the new. In order to embrace the new, you must remember the lessons of your fathers and do not forsake them. Learn from their wisdom and do not follow their same follies. If you desire to progress in the things of Me, this is a crucial step that must be done or else you will fade out in the wilderness like the old generation did. Indeed they forgot the works I did for them in Egypt and therefore perished because of it, unable to enter the new.
But you My son, hold fast to the foundations laid down by your fathers as Joshua and Caleb did, always remembering to walk in humility, honour and love. Never forget to see privilege for the work I have done for you, and how I brought you out of the world and into My kingdom. Never forsake a heart of gratitude, as this is a spiritual weapon against the enemy. This is My reinstatement to you and this is how you will progress and cross over into the promise land of the new. Indeed I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Choose life that you may live."

I love your work. Your commentary as the books progress just makes it so much more easier where God was coming from. Its so easy to take things out of context and not understand the importance of the message. I remember trying to read the bible and making no sense to me; backward laws, Genealogy/census ,stories and a bunch of other stuff is how I used to view the bible. Your channel helped me understand God much better, I thank YHWH for this channel and you guys for putting in the long hours to deliver an amazing message

    Awesome videos!
But I will say this- Moses didn't predict the people rebelling because he was with them for so long and simply reasoned they would; God told him they would (Deut. 31:19-21). That's a big difference to me.
Also, at the 3:00 mark in your video, you say that Moses didn't like the people worshipping other gods because it degrades humans and destroys communities. I'm sure that's part of it, but we have to remember and make clear to people that our sin is not just horizontal, but vertical, it offends God. God is offended at idol worship because it brings His Everlasting Glory down to the size of a statue, and these people would attribute carnal things to these gods, and they just straight up are giving all the Glory that God deserves to a created object (Romans 1:23). Just make clear that idolatry is first an offense to God Himself, which you didn't mention, but rather made it more a humanistic/social thing.

Thanks for your comment! To your first point, I think it’s both. Moses had seen their rebellion AND God told him. Both Moses and God knew. Lol
To your second point, I agree with it. However, I think he mentioned this point specifically because in my experience, it is already emphasized that our sin offends God and we sin against Him first. But nowadays, with all the sexual sin and perversion going on (which the western world is gladly accepting with open arms), we can see how God’s law truly IS beautiful and respectful to humanity. And without His law, we turn into nothing better than acting like animals: no morals, no standards, unrighteousness and ultimately destruction.

I'm sorry to tell u this but the Bible is just stories ripped from the ancient tablets from the sumerians, and they just change some stuff around but sometimes they steal stuff word for word, and the tablets were around thousands of year
as before the bible was even a thought. Adam and even, noahs ark, etc all came from ancient tablets but the bible says it a bit differently and its usually more fairy tale like whereas the tablets gave us real reasons and explanations to why and how things were at the time. The Bible just says "and god said let there be light and there was" the tablets actually explain in detail

It doesn't quite say her descendants will defeat the devil but it says that they will trample on his head and he will strike at their heal meaning there will always be a battle between mankind and the enemy. It isn't until later in the new testament that it says the battle has already been won and we have the victory

jaylecia davila not completely as you say... it means that the serpent will strike the foot (shows suffering death of Jesus) but Jesus will crush the serpents head (shows complete destruction of death and his power over the human heart, because he is the God of this world) actually this is a key verse that hinges a lot of scripture, much of the Bible is explained or at least better understood through this verse. This verse has many many many symbolisms in it, it is a very very rich text... the whole of the Bible and human history depends on this one verse, as you will find out in further study. So yes this is an absolute crucial verse and to understand this verse properly is to understand the whole entire bible through the perspective of Gods own eyes.

Wow, thanks. So refreshing that Tim understands that social justice is about LAWS imposing and assigning to leaders (kings, priests and the elders) - rights and duties to act in a fair & just way. Nowadays, many people totally misunderstand social justice and equate this to charity or charitable deeds. Social justice (required of institutions) isn’t the same as charitable acts like tithing or helping the weak, ill or poor. This is seriously good stuff. 🙏🙏

Deut. 14:22 "Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year.
14:23 And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there (Jerusalem), the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always."

Abraham paid tithes to Melchizedek after a battle. This may have been any number of items, including gold or monies. This is the first time "tithe" is mentioned in the Tanakh (Genesis 14). Yet there is indeed heavy mention of food (or animal(s)) in the several passages in Torah regarding a tithe or tithing. (Then, Gen. 28:22; and then numerous times in Exodus-Deuteronomy, as "tith*" and "tenth", depending on your version.)

    • @tastywallet7992
      @tastywallet7992 7 років тому +1

      sadsongishere,
I have a slightly different perspective on this and await your comments.
The account of the "war of kings" is recorded in Genesis 14. There was a war between nine kings in all, four against five (14:1-9). At the time, Lot was living in Sodom, after a sharp disagreement over land population issues between their servants (see Genesis 13 for the entire account). Sodom and Gamorrah's kings lost the fight, and Lot was captured (14:11-12). Since Abram (later called Abraham, see Genesis 17:5) was Lot's uncle, he sent his servants to fight and take back Lot and his stuff (14:14-16).
After this event took place, there was a meeting between the king of Sodom, Melchizedek, king of Salem, and Abraham (17-18). Melchizedek speaks (the antecedent of "he" in verse 19) and gives a blessing to Abram. Then it says at the end of verse 20 "He gave him a tenth of all". That is to say, Abram gave Melchizedek a tenth.
The problem here is that tithing (as the video series has pointed out) is an obligation under the theocratical Israeli government (Leviticus 27:30-34). There is no indication here that Abram was under any legally-mandated order to give Melchizedek a tenth of the spoils. Rather, it seems clear that this was an offering that Abram gave, out of his own freewill. This seems much more consistent with what is recorded in Leviticus 23:38 and later, in the New Testament, in 2 Corinthians 9:7.
Now, I do recognize that the Hebrew word for "tithe" shows up in Genesis 14:20 (4643. maaser or maasar or maasrah, strong's concordance). However, the point I am trying to make is about pattern.

All of the laws and the second telling did set Israel apart from other nations, but everything God does is packed so full of wisdom and it always points to a higher spiritual or heavenly truth couched in a proximate fleshly command. When Jesus Christ was beaten and put to open shame, thrown in front of the religious leaders and secular leaders in a false trial, it carried with it an image of what was going to happen to the Word, (Logos) the religious leaders alongside the secular leaders, got together and did away with books that were inspired and taught us the spiritual meaning of the Word. This was the canonization process. Read this example of the epistle of Barnabas. Barnabas also expounds the parabolic nature of scriptures. And if this resonates with you then go read James 4:5, or 1st cor 2:9 both these quotes are direct quotes to scriptures we don't have! Jude quotes Enoch as a prophet, directly quotes Enoch 1:9 and eludes to many versus from the book of Enoch. Jesus quotes Enoch during the sermon on the mount. It's all over the New Testament. The book of Enoch itself talks about a mystery where the books will be returned to us in the final days. This is happening as we speak! Springs of water are shooting up out of the earth! Now read this section from Barnabas and may you be washed by the water of the Word.
Chapter 10. Spiritual significance of the precepts of Moses respecting different kinds of food
Now, wherefore did Moses say, You shall not eat the swine, nor the eagle, nor the hawk, nor the raven, nor any fish which is not possessed of scales? He embraced three doctrines in his mind [in doing so]. Moreover, the Lord says to them in Deuteronomy, And I will establish my ordinances among this people. Deuteronomy 4:1 Is there then not a command of God they should not eat [these things]? There is, but Moses spoke with a spiritual reference. For this reason he named the swine, as much as to say, You shall not join yourself to men who resemble swine. For when they live in pleasure, they forget their Lord; but when they come to want, they acknowledge the Lord. And [in like manner] the swine, when it has eaten, does not recognize its master; but when hungry it cries out, and on receiving food is quiet again. Neither shall you eat, says he the eagle, nor the hawk, nor the kite, nor the raven. You shall not join yourself, he means, to such men as know not how to procure food for themselves by labour and sweat, but seize on that of others in their iniquity, and although wearing an aspect of simplicity, are on the watch to plunder others. So these birds, while they sit idle, inquire how they may devour the flesh of others, proving themselves pests [to all] by their wickedness. And you shall not eat, he says, the lamprey, or the polypus, or the cuttlefish. He means, You shall not join yourself or be like to such men as are ungodly to the end, and are condemned to death. In like manner as those fishes, above accursed, float in the deep, not swimming [on the surface] like the rest, but make their abode in the mud which lies at the bottom. Moreover, You shall not, he says, eat the hare. Wherefore? You shall not be a corrupter of boys, nor like such. Because the hare multiplies, year by year, the places of its conception; for as many years as it lives so many it has. Moreover, You shall not eat the hyena. He means, You shall not be an adulterer, nor a corrupter, nor be like to them that are such. Wherefore? Because that animal annually changes its sex, and is at one time male, and at another female. Moreover, he has rightly detested the weasel. For he means, You shall not be like to those whom we hear of as committing wickedness with the mouth, on account of their uncleanness; nor shall you be joined to those impure women who commit iniquity with the mouth. For this animal conceives by the mouth. Moses then issued three doctrines concerning meats with a spiritual significance; but they received them according to fleshly desire, as if he had merely spoken of [literal] meats. David, however, comprehends the knowledge of the three doctrines, and speaks in like manner: Blessed is the man who has not walked in the counsel of the ungodly, even as the fishes [referred to] go in darkness to the depths [of the sea]; and has not stood in the way of sinners, even as those who profess to fear the Lord, but go astray like swine; and has not sat in the seat of scorners, even as those birds that lie in wait for prey. Take a full and firm grasp of this spiritual knowledge. But Moses says still further, You shall eat every animal that is cloven-footed and ruminant. What does he mean? [The ruminant animal denotes him] who, on receiving food, recognizes Him that nourishes him, and being satisfied by Him, is visibly made glad. Well spoke [Moses], having respect to the commandment. What, then, does he mean? That we ought to join ourselves to those that fear the Lord, those who meditate in their heart on the commandment which they have received, those who both utter the judgments of the Lord and observe them, those who know that meditation is a work of gladness, and who ruminate upon the word of the Lord. But what means the cloven-footed? That the righteous man also walks in this world, yet looks forward to the holy state [to come]. Behold how well Moses legislated. But how was it possible for them to understand or comprehend these things? We then, rightly understanding his commandments, explain them as the Lord intended. For this purpose He circumcised our ears and our hearts, that we might understand these things.

Dude! Thank you so much! I always wondered what the spiritual significance of the laws of clean and unclean animals were all about. This makes a lot of sense! ☺👏👏👏
