As someone who works in a facility you're correct. We make almost nothing and work so so hard. I'm working on starting my own in home center. I'm so excited about the possibility of making more and having control over my own life and income
It’s so interesting how different areas have such different laws in regards to childcare. Here in Ontario we are able to have 5 children in care at any given time and no more than 3 under 2.
Hey. Thank you for helping us home daycare providers in all daycare related topics.Thank you for answering my questions.Loveee your channel :)
You are welcome . Thank you for watching. ❤️
I had to comment and give a big thanks to Ashley for her quick response in sending me a copy (various formats) of the daycare handbook! She has very good information on her channel. Very happy that I’m subscribed! Thanks again Ashley!!
You are so sweet ! Thank you for purchasing and supporting me and my channel ! God bless you ❤️
You are so inspirational I went to college taking early childhood development classes and I miss working with kids I had a friend who was thinking about making a daycare and I never thought about doing it until seeing your videos I also never thought it was possible because I thought I would have to be licensed and do a lot of paperwork and make my home up to standards but you make it seem possible and like I can actually do this 😂 so Thankyou Thankyou soooo much I remember being in class and making lesson plans and stuff and I can’t wait to get started making my daycare now
You are very sweet! Thanks for answering my questions and putting captions! 🙏🏼💕
No problem ❤️
Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions!! Loved this video, so helpful!
No problem whatsoever . Thanks for watching .
I was laughing so hard at the Dad that ate their dinner.
Isn’t that crazyyyyy . There is always that one person that’ll overstep !
I honestly didn’t know there was a difference between being licensed and registered. That’s good to know..
In NYS the only difference between registered and licensed is the number of children your allowed to watch.
Very good video with good information… wonderful job!
Thanks for watching !
Hi Ashley! Im just opening up my own Child Care and wanted to know how payments work and how rates are charged? I know some families accept Child Care Assistance Program also, how does that work too??
Thank you for all your videos!! Super helpful! Hoping to be as good as you one day!
Hello Kalia,
Rates are going to vary on experience, location, what you offer, etc. I would do some research and call a few daycare homes AND facilities to see what the going rate is and then from there find a good price. As far as assistance programs , those are very different. You would have to contact the agency or program and see what you need as a provider to be able to accept funding from them for parents. In my state and county, you have to have a specific insurance and be registered or licensed to be eligible to offer funding . I hope this answers your question. Thanks for watching !
Facebook advertising is EVERYTHING! I love it, do you have any fb groups that you really love?
Any Facebook groups that I really love for advertising? Or in general? For advertising , I just suggest searching your city and adding ‘moms’ to it . Cities usually have groups of moms that help one another when it comes to mommy related things . As far as general groups , I have a few daycare groups I really enjoy and learn a lot from .
Very helpful. Thinking of starting a in home daycare. Love your channel.
thanks so much for the answer! It's appreciated.
No problem . Hope I helped .
Love your make up!!
Thank you 🥰
Hi, I love your channel! I was wondering how do you set up your rates? Do you charge by hour, day, or week? I’ve having a hard time deciding on how much I should charge and what’s considered “too much”
There are a few things you should consider when you are setting up your rates . Your experience is a huge thing that’ll determine your rate . I would also call facilities and home daycares around you , and ask for pricing and what’s included in their prices . If you’re starting out , I’d say start off small (lower rate , but not too low that you’re work isn’t paying off) because you want to get clients in . You can slowly increase as the years go on and as you gain experience . I plan on doing a video soon on this topic .
l am new to your channel and love all the content.....thanks for sharing! Do you have/recommend a website for the daycare?
I do not have a website . I don’t think it’s necessary for a business as small as mines . If I were a facility , then I’d maybe have one . Hope that helps .
Also have you done a video on courses that you took in order to start your daycare or feel comfortable starting your daycare because I took a couple classes hoping to get my associates in early childhood development but because of COVID things are about crazy but i would love to know what online courses I could take to start learning more about childcare and development
Hello my question is since I live in a HOA in Las Vegas I can only have five children and so that cut my costs down to 50% I was really hoping to have told children and one helper. Child care expenses is way different compared to when I lived in San Diego. I'm in the process now to become licensed and I'll be taking the first classes. I'm trying to figure out if I should rent out my two rooms and still run my daycare out but I'm trying to find sorry to hustle so I don't have strangers in my home that could possibly interfere with my business. Because when I was living in San Diego I lived in different people's homes while going to college and not experience was terrible because you're living under somebody and you don't know how people can act. What creative ways would you do to make up for the loss?
Hello, love your Channel, question. Do you recommend starting a small business In home day care to be registered or being Licensed? Thanks 💜
It really depends on your state and what they require for each one . I personally am comfortable being registered , but I wouldn’t mind being licensed .
What is the difference between licensed and registered childcare homes ?
This question has a very broad answer . Each state has differences . You’d have to do a little bit of research to see what the differences with these are . I am in Florida , and when your licensed , the state does an inspection 2 times a year I believe . When your registered in Florida , the state doesn’t come to your home at all. When your licensed (in my state) you can have the ‘food program’ & when your registered , you can’t . Those are 2 basic examples . So again , different states have different guidelines, therefore , you may have to do some research . Hope this helps . Thanks for watching .
Hi Ashley,
Great information!!
Can you please helpme to understand the differences between be registry or license in home daycare?...
I am in California. You thinks can I open my in home daycare only as a registry?
Have a great day!!
Hello Edith , the differences vary from state to state . I don’t know if I’m mistaken , but I don’t think you can be registered in California . I BELIEVE you must be licensed . If anyone from California reads this comment , can you help Edith with that information?
Thanks for watching Edith .
