    How does it help bringing up the past of someone who has changed his life? It took guts and determination to go through what Sir Elton did and come out the other side. People can and do change Sir Elton is living proof of that😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘

    In regard to all of the repetitive posts about Elton's coke habit, it's not breaking news & he has owned up to it for a long time now. It's just too bad that he went down that road, but drugs aside, I don't think there are many people on this planet whose voice can withstand 40-plus years of performing great songs like this all over the world for 300 nights a year. Thankfully, his talents outlasted his drug habit.

      +Bentom86 Well good grief, Sir Elton certainly hasn't been the only musician to ever do coke, or a myriad of other drugs, to understate things profoundly. LOL How can folks take exception to him for it?

      At least he is still standing today unlike Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston. He got his act together and got sober. Michael and Whit should have done it for themselves and for their kids.

      @@tiffanykahn2535 The tragic list is a lot longer than only Michael & Whitney. Hendrix, Janis, Amy Winehouse…and of course, Elvis. Elton could’ve easily been in their group. But everyone is built differently & substance abuse evolves from a bad choice to a disease. Family isn’t enough sometimes to overcome the illness.

    Growing up in the 60's and 70'sI have a great appreciation for the music that was evolving at that time .....It was a great time to be in a band and experimenting with drugs was as popular as playing the music ! Unfortunately addiction was the pay off...... but if you were lucky and had the strength you could recover yourself but people who comment just feel the need to bring up personal crap instead of celebrating their great music.......he has moved on why can't you ?

    Elton hated himself in these days, and he's said in multiple interviews that, looking back, he hates the way he played in those days( he even referred to himself as basically a coked out zombie playing like a robot) Sad, because he still sounded amazing, I personally would LOVE to see a DVD of this, as well as a remastered DVD of Wembley 84. I used to have an old VHS copy of the Wembley 84 show, I wish to god I still had it.

Thats for sure because all my dumb ass buddies got all together and voted my lame ass king and my date queen. They all laughed at me but i had the last laugh because my date was one of the best looking girls in the school. HA

    Dee Murray? Check. Nigel Olsson? Check. That's all that is required. This is the first footage of them playing back with Elton John after he sacked them in 1975, in what has to be one of the worst decisions ever made in music.

      Jacob Reeves I was just wondering if you knew why he got rid of them 2 the first time around Nigel Olsson and Dee Murray

    • @Facts_dont_hurt
      @Facts_dont_hurt 4 роки тому

      Slick Mic sorry for the delay. Only a year!! Because he wanted a different sound and he had the view that Dee and Nigel had passed their used by date with him.

    • @bruceski2133
      @bruceski2133 3 роки тому +1

      Everyone thinks that, but I disagree. They made undeniably great albums up to 1975…and while his creativity went in a different direction, westies and blue moves were also in the great category…bringing back Roger pope, who was so much apart of early Elton sound….all his bands have been good, but most of his other bands I think were better live, I’ve seen them all. The 75-76 band, the 85-87 band ,88-89 band, the 90s with Jorgensen and Charlie Morgan…all of these bands were great. Many of those live performances from 70-74 weren’t as tight and sometimes sloppy. I disagree that it was a bad decision. He did HanDle it in a poor way. Show business is a tough business. I know I’d be hurt too if I were dee and Nigel, but a guy has a right to change things up…and most of that was pretty good too
