😊Nice classic motor..Got myself a 76 Bonito 14' boat with a 59 Evinrude Lark 35 hp golden jubilee, and had to rebuild fuel pump, change carb, and new fuel lines.Runs great, and hoping to run it on the lake soon...Happy boating 🛥
Thank you and congratulations your boat and motor. The '59 Evinrude 35hp is a very nice motor. Should be a great match to your boat. Have fun, be safe, and thanks for watching!
Beautiful motor, and a great runner! I have a 7.5, 10, and 35 HP 1958 Johnsons. I know when they were built, OMC thought they looked modern..... If they only knew what classics they would become.
This one looks a little better woth this hood on it. The original was very faded. The midsection is very faded, the steering bracket is from a 60s Evinrude, and the lower unit is white from a '59 to early 60s Johnson. It's got a ton of hours on it, but it's still a great runner. I now have all the 1958 Johnson twin cylinder outboards. 3, 5.5, 7.5, 10, 18, and a 35hp. They're awesome motors. The 35 is currently undergoing service. You're certainly right about the classics these motors would become. Thanks for watching!
Happy Memorial Day weekend Ben! She runs pretty darn good! Hope your weather holds out for the weekend up there! It’s been just as sunny and pleasant here in southeast Iowa today! However storms are once again predicted to move through during the night sometime into tomorrow morning 😆. Yes my city of 7300 people went under a tornado warning yesterday morning just before 6:30 Friday. Thankfully we have a storm shelter at work. It only rained hard with no hail. Temperature went from 73 degrees to 60 in literally a few minutes! No sightings locally! At any rate it delayed our local schools 2 hours. Next Tuesday is our last day for this school year. Enjoy your weekend up there! I am regardless! Mark in Iowa.
Happy Memorial Day Weekend, Mark! It's a really nice runner. It's nit the fastest one, but it's a nice smooth runner with good power and a great idle. It doesn't attract too much attention from someone looking to make someone else's motor their own but it's a great reliable runner to have at the cabin. It was upper 60s up here today and a sunny after after a cloudy and wet morning. We're supposed to see rain start again tomorrow evening and some storms on Monday. A drastic temperature drop like you describe is pretty freaky. Glad nothing bad came out of that for you and your family. Thanks for watching!

Your videos are inspiring me to get a boat lake this and a few vintage outboards.
I'm happy to be an inspiration! Thanks for watching!
Beautiful runner!
Thank you and thanks for watching!
It's great that you show the speed
Most people want to know what the speed was and I always like to know as well. I'm always looking for the efficient combination. Thanks for watching!
