Jeroen again a cracking video, i also noticed the background in the last photos but thought it was different to the usual that we see all the time, great idea to add the camo net to the bank to disguise the sandy slope works well and like you said you can add some small branches/shrubs to it to add a splash of colour or variation. I have found a kingfisher site near to me but it is proving very difficult to photograph, not much cover where it is and it is right next to a busy path with cyclists and dog walkers but i shall keep trying and one day it may pay off.

If there are so many other people, maybe the kingfisher would accept you being there if you just sit quietly without moving too much? Most likely he has other spots to fish as well... Maybe try and find those....

Haha, that's true Richard! So the mission is to make something fresh as well... But everyone seems to love kingfishers. They're awesome :D

Brilliant video and very interesting. I had 3 Kingfishers the other day and they were around (of and on) for about 2 hours, but I didn't get the "one". Number of reasons, not tack sharp because I didn't nail focus. I didn't use the correct aperture so shallow DOF mean't only part of the bird in focus. Light was poor so with the 200-600 I was at ISO 6400 and above. There is so much that needs to be right ti get the "one". I got some keepers, but nothing that I haven't got already!!!! I will keep trying and thanks for your vlogs they really motivate me. Cheers
