IDEAS NEEDED! I like my extreme overland trips. Whilst I go for the extreme environment of the Arctic during Winter. What extreme environment could I do in the summer or autumn trip? Maybe the next travel series!? Well before Arctic round 3! Comment ideas below!
I'd love you do an Africa trip through the desert, or south america/asia through the jungle! Also doing high altitude camping would be super interesting!
Iceland. You know you want to! Book now, using a VPN to put you in Denmark or Iceland and I'm sure you could make the ferry a wee bit more affordable. Also, once you're back on the continent, you'll just be another short ferry trip from Norway. What's not to love about that?
@@ruffleduffle I’m planning on this. Maybe a new vans. I’ve normal work on environments like this. Having spent a number of trips working a Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Madagascar and spent the last 2 weeks in eSwatini. Currently in Borneo working
Those winter cover clips are called "maskisuojan kiinnike" in finnish. Most of us replace those with zip ties as they age and get lost every once in a while 😅 The covers itself are usually made of either harder plastic or closed cell foam here.
I have really enjoyed this series, it was as near as being back in the Glorious Arctic Norway myself. Beautiful images. Thank you for sharing your Nordic adventures. ❤
I thought watching that amazing sunset footage that it must've been stressful setting up all those shots before the sun went down. I know I've felt that. Then I realised that, at that time of year and at that latitude, you probably had all afternoon, including time for tea and scones!
Thanks for a truly amazing series Alex. Loved every single episode and cannot wait for round 3 this coming winter. Take care and all the best. Made a small donation as well 👍
Great Video, thanks for doing the winter series of videos. Nice training there, practising your drifting for the snow covered Nürburgring. Just don't drive like James May in the Norwegian tunnel. Loved them all, thanks once again.
You must stop at night at the big moose, if I could share the night picture with you you would know why. also good little night park with a good clean WC All the best Andy
The secret life of Walter Mitty🤩 my fave film too! What’s your best bit? Plus it’s got a Brilliant soundtrack! I’ve watched it more times than I’d like to share!haha Going to miss this Arctic series 🥲👍🏼
It's a small World indeed 😅 That remind us when you send us the photo of their truk in the group chat and We was "No way, it's Joseph family"😅 Another brilliant video Alex, impressive drive 14h👏,it was awesome sharing this Artic adventure with you hopefully we cross roads again some day till then safe travels mate 🚐
Steering problem ? always start with fluid condition and level . Then suspect low pressure at the pump until engine revs increase . Then you have various by pass valves in the steer ing rack that may not be working right . Most service centres will want to just replace whole components till the problem is resolved. ...... here is the vehicle back sir all good now the pump and steering rack were faulty !! so we had to replace both . When home do a test with the both front wheels jacked up go from full left to right to see if it still happens with out load . You will also be bleeding the system of air ( if any )
Awesome trip mate, nice to see places in the different seasons. I'm on my way home as we speak (Near Mariestad, Sweden) Got to spend my 56th Birthday at King Oscars chapel and did a few of the places on your trip, purely by chance. I want to do a Northern lights trip next year, I won't go right up the top but may aim for the Arctic circle latitude? You've inspired me and the Aurora are still un-ticked off my bucket list😉 I'm scared to look how much this trip has cost me😬 but a cool adventure, much like yours. Thanks for the great footage, and sharing your 'How to videos', your tip's and 'what not to do's' are welcome advice indeed.🙏❤
Hope your own trip has gone well! I’ll have to look up some of those places. I don’t think I can tick of the aurora as I just love seeing them. Definitely wasn’t cheap for me but well worth it! Glad you should the videos helpful as well!
Amazing series loved watching them and other van vids, giving me motivation to get mine done.. regarding the rad muff, HEKO do a grill cover all be it plastic that might work well to limit heat loss
What about a trip through Africa? There’s a great book I’m reading at the moment called ‘Going home to Africa: The Adventure of a lifetime’ about a 60 year old lady travelling solo from the UK to Zimbabwe in a self built camper. Also is there anything you would change from your van build?
I am planning something related to a route like this. I have traveled must of Southern Africa myself already. If I was building another van I’d probably build something very similar
You are back in Big Brother land. 1st thing I notice when getting to the UK is that cameras are greeting you like getting into a prison. Glad you made it though, looking forward to your next winter. As for the _power_ steering: it’s likely the pump not pumping enough. Checked the fluid level? If that‘s ok, it‘d probably be a new pump.

You have got to be proud of your work, some of the best northern lights footage I've seen.
The northern lights did all the hard work! That powerful display was filmed on my iPhone! Best display of the trip

Loving those northern lights clips. Good work!
They are so good and it’s only on my iPhone
Amazing northern lights and especially the sunset. Even on video!
Definitely best northern lights and sunset on the same day! Real life was even better. The lights that night were so so bright.

Great video i look forward to watching the rest.
There’s a whole two seasons of arctic adventures if you’re new to the channel. I’m filming the third this winter
Check power steering fluid to start, check for leaks and belt on the pump, unless its electric power steering...
I’ve seen not fixed it. But it seem to be the pump. No leaks, it did snap my aux belt a few months back. It’s one of my jobs to replace it
A great finale to an outstanding series.
Nice one Alex, looking forward to the next

Might be possibility electric power steering. Could be a failing alternator. Low on voltage until off of idle
Mine 2018 Mk8 which is hydraulic power steering, I think they switched to the electric on the 2019 face lift version
