The drop doesn't seem scary on video, but actually being there, that drop is absolutely scary.

For those complaining about the colour of the water, it’s really common in theme parks to dye the water to hide any tracks, mechanisms etc. from the guests. Also, been as it does get all over you, it would have to have some sort of cleaning agent in it (like chlorine or bromine).
Your right. This, splash mountain, pirates of the Caribbean, it’s a small world and many more all use bromine for water treatment instead of chlorine. :)
@@blakehayman601 Bromine is mostly a Disney thing however. Its more expensive, but Disney likes it because it gives a different sense that people are otherwise not used to (rather than feeling like a swimming pool).
@@Garfie489 your right. My friends dad used to work this ride and he said they treated it with bromine.
also chlorine stings when in the eyes while bromine does not.
I take care of the water at SeaWorld and the water is clear .
The last drop is scarier than the way it’s shown here. Love this ride!!

That's how most POVs are. Never the same as actually being on the ride. Just like the now sadly closed "Loggers' Leap" at England's Thorpe Park looked tame on POV TV videos compared to actually riding it.

I got fucking SOAKED riding this. Like a bucket of water was dumped on me at one point. Walked out with my shoes squelching and my hair dripping. Make sure it's a hot day when you ride this
I rode it with a poncho on once it helped a lot

It’s a great ride and there are tons of little touches in the theme that make it really hilarious, my favourite was the

I went to Universal Orlando for the first time with my friends and we thought it was just a regular log ride and boy were we wrong. They purposely soak you. This ride belongs in a water park . There's a sock gift store right next by the exit of this ride.
If thats the case then all rapid rides like this belong in a water park..your really complaining about getting wet on a water ride WOW

I was 8 and this was the best ride there imo and I was smart I wore a self dry dress which dries easily and I was front row cuz I really wanted to go and ye everyone was soaked but me after like Two hiurs

When I went on this ride over a decade ago, they didn't have that train light at 3:55, so you drop in complete darkness and never see it coming. Scared the crap out of me, lol.
They also didn't have the lap bars neither, you just held onto the seat in front of you

Splash Mountain may have it beat for theme and overall ride experience, but Dudley has the best drop on any flume by far. Very fun, and probably the wettest log ride (as opposed to the bigger boat shoot-the-chutes rides).
Both splash mountains and timber mountain (Go look up that ride's POV. You're just a log being sent downriver and following a logging community in the late 19th early 20th century. It's one of those 'Why the hell haven't other parks used this idea?' kind of themes) have it beat in theming.

Splash mountain is closed so this is the best thing now if you don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars to travel to Tokyo
But it's not the tallest drop, the jurassic river ride is 85ft tall. Found out the hard way lol
While the animatronics and scenery isnt the most impressive it kinda of reflects the original animation in an odd way and still manages to make the ride look so detailed and oddly timeless. I notice new things every time I ride it. Such a great logflume, one of the best!
I remember the first time riding this thinking that all the pre drops would be THE BIG DROP. Can’t wait to ride again
I rode this 3 months ago and it was COMPLETELY empty (even though it was saturday and the park was FULL). We sprinted through the queue and it felt like a fever dream/ liminal space. The train drop made me drink boat water. Good times.

Man, I remember riding this on opening day when I was 7, the ride didn't have those lap restraints for many years, just a classic flume style with steel bars running down the sides. It really freaked me out, you feel like you're going to fly out on the last drop from the air time. It also used to be notorious for the slow block section at the top of the waterfall, you'd sit there for up to a full minute at times.
whenever i rode there weren’t restraints either..i was like the same age as you do i felt like i was gonna die because i was small

That last drop looks so innocent on camera and from the outside did the ride. My soul left my body rally quick on that last drop. Lol. I have anxiety and a bit of an anxiety attack after that drop. LOL. Its a fun ride but not for me. I hate drops. But of you enjoy them, this would be a cool and fun ride for you. I give it 5 stars. 👍🏾❤️

I got soaked the first time I went in, I think it was because I was in the first row. Also after that ride my family took out our shirts and tried to ride suess trolly train ride but they said we can't enter without a shirt so we bought one.

When i tell you that this is the scariest drop at the park i stand by that, and I rode velocicoaster 4 times, YEAH you heard me.
When I was riding this ride with my sister when she thought the drop was gonna come I heard her say”this is it this is it people!!”i was about to legit pee my pants!😩✋🏻

I was at Universal almost three years ago, and I still miss it like crazy. I don't care how pathetic that sounds, that place is the GOAT.

It’s so fun to ride first thing when its a hot day, so you’re nice and wet, making the heat a little more bearable. It also is way longer in person than you’d think. The drop is terrifying. Love it
I remember my 2 cousins, my sister and I loved this ride so much we went on it back to back 5 times. It ended up getting super dark when we went back on it for the 4th and 5th time but it was so much fun we couldn't contain our excitement

I got beyond soaked on this ride. I ain’t ever got soaked like that before. One of the best flumes I’ve ever been on. Been awhile since I’ve been to universal, headed there this October for 3 days at the parks and 2 nights for horror nights.

Change of pants needed after you get soaked and after you crap your pants when you experience the insane drop. Hands down best log ride.
I remember going on this and the waterfall that you see while climbing up to the big drop never opened up so we got more soaked from that than the actual drop

This is a great ride. We chose doing Bluto's Barge over this one last visit thinking we'd get less wet. That was a mistake.
We just did Bluto's Barge .... My husband is on the💩💩 list 😂😂. We got extremely wet but we cooled off during the day.

This ride is extremely fun! Was like a little tour. And fairly decent in length.
When my brothers and I got on this, as soon as we entered the black and white room at the very start and got blasted with water by a pipe that shot right into our boat, my brother just turned around and looked dead eyed at me and said, “Wow. This... is my personal hell.”
This whole ride is a complete fever dream, my brothers and I were just in awe.
I remember when this ride first opened and didn’t have safety bars and as a little boy I just about flew out on the hill jumps at the end if my dad hadn’t caught me 😂
i went on that with my best friend,at the giant drop i thought i was gonna go “WEEEEEEEEEE” out of the seat but i ended up lovin it,fun ride and i regret being scared, 10,000/10

I use to watch Dudley Do right when I was a kid, (I’m so old lol but life was so different then), that’s when cartoons were plenty after school and early morning weekends. One day I hope to visit Florida, see as much of Florida as possible. It’s just me and my hubby and we live in So. Cal, we’ve already traveled through most of the Western states by car. I still love roller coasters and going on as many rides as I can, you’re never too old to still have fun! Thank you for sharing, but that ride looks like it’ll get you soaked from top to bottom, but it probably feels good being that you’re in Florida this time of year! 😁

This ride is my favorite thing to ever exist me and my friends got stuck in the line for three hours and the music playing in the background was so funny. We had some really good laughs and I’ll never forget the fever dream this ride was. I love you Dudley doo 🫶 lmaoooo

Omg I absolutely loved this ride! I remember one time sitting in the line for hours with the same sounds and stuff over and over- I also was very small when I rode at the time and man I was scared of falling out 😹 thou the lap bars actually make you feel very secure.

I rode this ride in July after they reopened and the water was actually pretty clean. Guess that's the inadvertent result of draining the ride for 2.5 months lol.
Wouldn't surprise me actually if the shutdown results in more frequent cleanings, A, because everything will be sanitized more often in the future, and B, most parks probably didn't realize they needed new water, lol.
