- I share my experiences with two BX Trigger upgrades for Ruger 10/22 rifles. I have learned they are not all the same! I've also done some more vids you can watch on 10/22s by going to my playlist • BX Trigger group revie...
I bought a trigger that would go in the BX group from Pike arms then I bought a 70's trigger group and put my bx components inside a metal group with a little polishing the seer. I love BX now!
For the money, I think it is hard to beat. I do wish you could still find them for around 50, but best price I could locate on getting the second was 75. Still better than other options costing as much as a 10 22!
Enjoyed your video and opinion on this trigger. I've been thinking about an upgrade and it seems like a reasonable investment to help achieve a better trigger squeeze. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed it. Unless you feel a need for going under 2lbs for a trigger pull I can't see spending three or four times more money for the Kidd and Volquartsen options. Tac Sol option which costs 299 is promised to break at 2.5 which is a higher pull than the BX I run. I'll be doing another review on the Summit Precision carbon fiber barrel too which is an upgrade to consider as well as the lower cost Shaw which is the after production barreI have used for several years.
Hey I got the first like! Of many hopefully! Nice job!
Yeah, 2.0 lbs is too light for me. My Ruger American Rimfire is 3.5 but adjustable down to 2.5. My Savage is 3.0.
I am getting a Ruger 10/22 Collectors Series and I am not sure what the trigger pull is. But I am anticipating switching to a BX trigger unless it is already in the 3lb, to 3.5 range.
Just trying to keep my budget low and I still have to get a scope for it. Although I am looking forward to giving the OEM tech sights a good workout.
Consider looking at the Arken scope lineup if you wish to get a MOA or Mil reticle for bullet drop. On a budget they are hard to beat for quality.
Hello good video. And I’m building my grandson 10/22 I’d buy it off ya for like 20$. As I’m not very rich lol. Heck I’m not close to mids lol. Poor ole hillbilly. Anyway good video. One of best on box trigger.
Thank you for the kind words and I'm glad you found it informative. I'm keeping the old trigger group as an emergency spare and I would only ever consider giving it away to a person in need considering how well used it has been. BX is definitely worth the additional cost IMO. You can get everything for a base model build at S&P which I talked about in another of my videos you may wish to look at ua-cam.com/video/951XSvbzklA/v-deo.html
@@allenbmooresharinginformation yes sir believe you. Got the bx red shoe.for 70$. Have hogue om rubber stock bx25 magazine =2. An Adams & Bennett ss bull barrel. Should make him good plinker. That’s what I always wanted. Finally got get grandson one. Maybe he’ll let pawpaw use it some. Lol
@@paultrimble9390 doing just like we all should with children and the grands. Always nice when we can do even better by them.
@@allenbmooresharinginformation yes sir. You know that’s right.
You can sell a stock ruger trigger on eBay for like $50
Great point though personally, I'd feel like I was ripping off a newbie doing that. I have the old one in a gun box for quick reference and an emergency reserve piece.
So with all the upgrades it pretty much isn’t a 10/22 anymore..
Still a 10/22, but definitely not as reasonably priced when you get into upgrades. It is still reliable, but more accurate with basic marksmanship skills.
Can you adjust the bx trigger group?
There are videos showing where you can do that, but I'd just try that with stock first if you wish to try.
@@allenbmooresharinginformation OK thank you I will
Is the trigger plastic or any components plastic? All metal?
There is plastic in the group, but the trigger does not feel plastic. It is definitely not a traditional trigger group. It is better regardless of the elements involved.
Tandemkross parts are GARBAGE I've ordered so many things from them and ended up sending them all back. They have terrible r&d and even worse quality control. That bolt release should be ok but I will never personally buy another thing from tandem.
Not a sponsor for the company so I truly hate you have had such bad experiences. The only experience for me is buying two of those bolt releases and both have worked flawlessly for years now. One has been in place for over 10 and I'm sure it has worked over 1000 times.
