im excited to buy this precon. Im going to dismantle my Zaffai deck to strengthen this one, and build a phoenix renanimator deck with Syrix, Carrier of the Flame
Hey man, I just wanted to say that I'm glad I found this channel. I try to follow similar philosophy when deckbuilding. I'm building an Anhelo deck right now and all the lists are going with extra turns and tutors. I really like this, keep on keeping on!
That's definitely a fun deck I have an Anhelo deck myself & it runs along very similar lines (built from scratch, not from precon) After having played it a good few times I can say it's a very enjoyable deck to pilot. You are absolutely correct to stay away from extra turns spells (I did the same). Whilst they are undeniably effective & extremely powerful they are going to create somewhat of a bad experience at the table. I'd only use them if I intended the deck for extremely competitive play. The one change I'd like to suggest is to move as much of your card draw as possible to instant speed. Seize the spoils isn't bad, but unexpected windfall or big score is much better: you can cast it in someone else's turn & double up on the amount of casualty you can utilise. Those two are especially good since the treasures they produce make them mana-neutral when copied, but any instant speed draw (as long as it's generally playable) is preferable to sorcery speed. Same goes for point removal too; if you can use it in someone else's turn then it doesn't obstruct your casualty ability in your own turn so much. On that topic, I'd like to introduce you to an absolutely hilarious removal spell for this deck: tragic slip. But yes. I'm totally on board with Anhelo. Great Commander, very fun deck.
If you do anything that creates a bad experience at a table, you are playing with the wrong group of people--they should laugh and be happy for you that something like that was even able to happen in the game of magic--we all want to see those big plays no matter who is doing it, if you are a true lover of the game. That is what it is anyway... a game. Enjoy!
Fun deck, but I'm not a fan of rituals in this deck. Anhelo only triggers on the first spell cast, so sure, we can sac a creature for even more mana, but I'd sooner copy the payoffs
Yeah, I definitely see where you’re coming from 👍 I ultimately went with them because they can generally help us cast our big spells (even without the copies) or permanents sooner. Like getting from turn 4 to turn 10 or 15 can still be a huge swing. But yeah, copying the payoffs are definitely a big deal which is why it’s important we also run some redundancies like Swarm Intelligence and whatnot 🙌 thanks for the comment! Appreciate it!
I somewhat agree with you but I think mana geyser is the exception, copying it can give you so much mana that putting that mana in a X spell will be bigger than just copying the X spell itself
I already have the Zaffai deck so my plan is get the new Anhelo precon and slap them together. Getting a copy every turn for (sort of) free is amazing.
I agree with this as the commander but I feel Xander should be the main focus. Having Xander come in and out of the graveyard is going to choke all the opponents. If they don't kill Xander it's fine with having them mill the deck and win quick. Lots of hate but I'm cool with being the bully
I thought it’d be fun to brew while waiting for the full precon decklist 🖤💙♥️ are you looking forward to any new Capenna commanders? 😊 let us know!

I think I’m just gonna cut straight ahead and build the deck from the bottom up
Absolutely AMASING editing
Wow, really ?? Thank you! Appreciate the kind words 🙏
I subscribed as soon as you explained the burgers and fries, love it haha
Haha thanks! I appreciate it! 🍔🍟

Decanter of endless water is good add-on
Circle: "No turn skip?"
Me: "Promise, no turn skip."
(grips Worst Fears tightly in my hand)

Put just about any magecraft creature onto the field (Including Ral or Professor Onyx) and then play fork. Copy fork 11 million times and win the game
