Loved the film but I'm a long time fan - it's mo Chara (ch as in ach in German), Móglaí (Mowgli) Bap and DJ Próvaí (Pro-vi). Yes, the Six Counties are still occupied by the British. Their names are referenced in their music as well. The protest mentioned is the march for recognising the Irish language in the current state the Six Counties are in. This film does need a bit of research to understand the full picture.
OMG! This movie far exceeded my expectations. Maybe because the actual rappers were part of the film. It was so well done, although the main interest for me is the positive impact the group had on saving the Gaelic language, which is being ☘️ Irish and being Ireland. I’ve been there, but not in the North where this happened.
The Teacher (DJ Provai) takes the notebook full of poems from Mo Chara to stop Mo Chara going to jail for a long time. Hidden in the pages of the notebook is a sheet of LSD blotting paper. That’s why he takes the book!!
