I'm late to this comment but , I'm currently replaying expedition artantica to find clues and details throughout the abandoned routes and the body's that can be found to create a story behind expedition artartica if you wanna know how it's going then reply I guess
There actually is a bit of lore (I think). I recently found an abandoned campsite and it had a book inside the destroyed tent that you could read. In it, it said something of the world becoming quiet all of a sudden. It’s somewhere past campsite 2, right before you climb the ice wall up. Instead of going to the wall, you go to the left.
