You don't see many linear tracking turntables in the wild anymore; I always liked the concept but they never really took off with the audio customers out there in the early 80's. Thanks for your time!
can you send me a link to the bag of belts you ordered? i found this belt for $11 on ebay and i'd rather have a big lot of extras if it's about the same price.
I have 2 of these that I bought about 20 years ago and the first one from a shop that had one. I was so thrilled, I asked how much and the clerk said $250. and without even testing it or finding out or worked, I bought it or put on my credit card. The second one I got off eBay about 10 years ago. Both still on my storage and haven’t even hooked them both up and tried. When I was a teen in the early 80’s, I thought this was the coolest tt. But I couldn’t afford and then everyone was on to cds and everyone was getting rid of their records and record players. I also had another Mitsubishi unit that was my first eBay purchase in around 99-2000 and also linear but you don’t have the clear glass to see the record. But it had a tape deck I think and a place to keep about 7 tapes to store. I should try to fix and dig it out and sell the one I don’t plan on using. Oh and no one really talked about this tt back in the late 90’s and early 2000. As if ppl. forgot all about.
Can u pls tell me about which capacitor is in this turntable? Because I'm using Sansui LINEAR p-m50...the problem is power is coming but the cadrige needle is not moving..it was working smoothly recently.somebody said the capacitor must be complaint
I have a Sansui P-70. It was working fine so far. However, the other day, the arm returned at the tip of the LP record and did not move at all. I thought maybe the drive belt had broken, slipped, or something else was wrong, so I turned off the power, but it didn't move at all that day. But the next day nothing happened and it's been working fine since then、The drawback of the linear system player is that it is difficult to repair if it breaks.
I got my P-L50 off of shopgoodwill, had all the belts replaced. I love it, sounds great, plays great. Nice video
Very nice!

I’m in the process of sorting out a Sansui P L75 as well. There will be a few videos on it assuming I get it working :)

I usually buy square belt multi-packs off of eBay or Amazon. It changes every time.

Also, they made 2 versions, one that’s just the turntable and one that’s an all in one stereo.
Oh sorry the video is stuck and I assumed it was the Mitsubishi linear turntable and just noticed it’s the Sansui TT.
Thanks!

There are dozens of capacitors in the turntable. I don’t know which cap they are referring to.

Yes, they certainly are temperamental.
When i have this type of issues . I would put some paper napkins underneath and scorch some highly volatile alcohol or any other and clean it up
Thanks for the tip!
