I bought granatelli coil packs and wires. The wires melted and failed, and the coil packs cracked all over the place, but still works. I think. I'll pass on the cutouts from granatelli.
There is a rubber grommet above the brake pedal, poke/drill a hole and run the wire through there. I zip tied the wire up near exhaust then hid it behind the aluminum heat shields, they bend very easy. So run the positive wire through the grommet up to your switch then back through to the cut out then the ground can go any where really, but I put mine near the battery on the panel
Thinking about getting this. I had the Carven Competitor for over a year. Took it off and put the stock muffler back on. Like the quiet sometimes. Would you do it again? or Change anything?
I’ve got this still on, no issues. I have Magnaflow which are well broken in and are loud. I too want to put a quieter muffler on, maybe a chambered one that is quiet but loud when you wot and still have the option to go loud with the cut out. I like quiet when traveling sometimes
The wires that run through the boot to the electric motor are small and one of mine popped off. I’m upgrading the gauge wire and reconnecting soon, other than that it works great. Some people complained that the butterfly doesn’t seal the opening but you’re not going to get a complete seal. I’d still rock it
Hi so you wired the red wire from the switch directly to the battery . so when your truck is off with no key in the ignition you can open your cut out is this correct . will this put a draw on your battery ? Thanks
It’s about 12” and if you use the clamp sleeves it gets a couple inches longer, then another inch longer if you include the outlet extension, it’s pretty big and very well made, just the wires didn’t last and I still have to upgrade them
I installed one of these bad boys on my Nissan Armada and I’m impressed
How’s it holding up so far? Any issues?
@@GHrnandez no issues
Great Video!! 👍🏼👍🏼
Just ordered mine.
Nice!!! Mine’s still working excellent, fun too!!

Best cut out out there!!!
Sorry one more question. How easy was it to run the wire to the cab? Any recommendations and did you zip tie them to the frame?

Ya I’m worried about my Canadian winter salt and etc so is there a manual cut out set up?
Not sure, mine just failed. Wire came off. I was thinking the same thing
Found a few 100$+ Canadian set ups so I’m definitely going to try it out
Loved the sound when I was changing my muffler and did a cold start without
@@charleslincoln5357 can you send links? im in the same boat
After I tried a muffler liss cold start I think I will get this on aswell
it’s loud when open, was louder than muffler delete!! I’m actually thinking of quieting down my muffler now that I have this
I just bought this for my 2016. Any leaks or issues? How do you know where cut the exhaust

@@TunedRAMS sounds good thanks.I've heard they don't truly seal 100%. Do you notice any nice in the van when you have it closed?
What'd you tap the red and black wire into?
Do you still have these on? Any feedback?
I do not, the two wires that connect to the motor fell off, they’re very thin. I do plan on beefing them up and reinstalling soon
@@TunedRAMS appreciate the response. Good to know you do plan on keeping them since I am considering on purchasing a pair for myself.
I'm interested in your skid plates (from the previous video).
Interested in what they weigh or you want them
@@TunedRAMS My truck isnt a drag truck its being built as an overland/trail rig so i want them.

Not directly to the battery, I connected it to a fuse that only comes on when the truck is on
Any chance you know the length of the Y pipe?
