    Great tutorial! I know this is older, so hope you still see comments. I would like to know how you did it as a flange in your sample with binding. Thanks!

    What a flash machine, I just bought Pfaff Coverlock 3.0 and thought that had a lot of things to play with!

    THANK GOODNESS! I bought my Enlighten two months ago in Springfield, MO. The girl who demoed it BARELY KNEW THE MACHINE! I asked her over and over and over about the strange numbers on the width wheel. She couldn't even understand what I was asking her. She couldn't find the wire to put the thread in for the Wave stitch. If my friend had not been with me, I never would have bought the machine. Then I tried to find a video at the Babylock website, and there was NONE. The one using a different model was such poor quality, I could barely see the wave stitch. THANK YOU SO MUCH for this excellent video! I'm hoping you have made more of them. Joy

    Great video! I would like to have the wave wider. Can you use needle O1 instead of O2?

      Hi Janet! That would be nice! Unfortunately, the stitch does not form right when using the 01 needle.

    I luv this video, it is great. Had a hard time finding Madeira 30 wgt. which I was told that was the tread used? I have the enlighten wave also.

      Hi Mary! The quilt shows Cotona No. 30 (found here: bit.ly/29V22iN) and the demonstration shows Cotona No. 4 (found here: bit.ly/29V1SIk). We recommend adjusting the stitch length with the different weights of thread to get your desired look. Thank you!

    I have the Imagine Wave which I think is basically the same as the Enlighten, but I don't recall seeing the threading thru the telescoping parts (one to the other). is that standard or does that only work with the enlighten. pretty sure I've done it before without doing that.
    Thank you for the VERY clear video. have you done any on the Evolve?

    • @babylocksewing
      @babylocksewing  8 років тому

      +ssarge2 Hi! Thanks so much for commenting! We are so glad it was clear and helpful! There is the same alternative threading on the Baby Lock Imagine Wave as there is on the Enlighten for the wave stitch. You might get even better results with the alternative threading shown!
      We have done some serger video classes over at Sew at Home! They are filmed on the Baby Lock Ovation, but, would apply to the Evolve, as well! If you head over to SewAtHomeClasses.com and look for Specialty Serger Techniques; and Serger Techniques and Tricks, you will find full online serger lessons that apply to the Evolve, as well! Thanks for inquiring!

    I just got an Ovation, and have been trying to use cotton crochet thread to do a wave border on some napkins. I am getting the hang of the corner, but can't figure out how to end the stitch nicely. You can't just chain off with this thick thread, and I can't figure out how to unravel this thick tail much less bury the threads.
    Can I use stitch fix on the corner with this type of heavy thread? If not, how do you end if you're doing a square of this stitch? I can't find this answer anywhere. Help! :)

      Hi! I have definitely used a stitch fix when I can't figure out a way to end my stitch prettily! There have also been times, where I tuck the thread tail underneath and run over it with my sewing machine back and forth a couple times with matching thread and then, clip any excess of the serger tail off and it seems to hide pretty well that way, as well. Happy serging!!

      If you haven't already, check out Sew at Home classes, you'll find some really great serger classes for 8-thread machines, as well as, specifically on the Ovation. :)
