I know they mean well. I just personally would be annoyed by that if it was me.
yup ..and also with all those goddamn cameras all round me and in my face while I negotiate death one step at a time
If this mountain were located in Europe, these sherpas would be hailed as specialists and the world would hear to no end of their heroism. There would be university courses on becoming a sherpa with licencing and certification programmes.
I don't think so. In Europe they would use helicopters to get on top of a 8k ;)
If this in Europe. Hannibal Barca will be the first person to summit
@@Anno_Nymouse they have hélicopteres in asia too. Problem is helis cant fly at 8km altitude
@@boggusboggs7096 Tell that Didier Delsalle ;)
@@Anno_Nymouse can’t fly up there at that height
Seeing things like this, I'll never understand how they get DOWN the mountain in the middle of a snow storm, with 80mph winds, in the DARK, tired and frozen???
Some don't.
I've read about it and honestly I don't know either, the people that do this travel on will alone. Every one of them is in pain also, from various ailments either picked up along the way or current ones made a lot worse with the thin air. It's literally just trying to breathe then take a couple steps and it takes hours to progress. By the time they make it down to the next camp they are completely useless and exhausted. They survive purely on luck. Insane.
@@angeloddrev # Yes insane really insane
Every year people die over there
And the most sad thing their bodies also don't recovered....many of dead bodies used for milestone .. Insane
Sherpa is real heroes who are still under rated . . .
1:40 My heart goes out to the cameraman that had to climb and film under the ladder
I believe they're using a drone camera if not then what the fckkk that's crazy!! Lol
@@lataifinefeuiaki4598 no its too cold for drones
@@csgo8614 Yeah, in this situation no equipment available, like drones and such. The cameraman had to hang the ladder with one hand while filming. Also no ropes for him because all ropes were already in use.

I was terrified just watching. They are so brave.
Sherpas 🙏🏻
Proud to be Nepali ❤️
Niksan Stha Two of my friends summited Everest a few weeks ago. Their sherpas were quite friendly they told. One of the two got snow blindness while climbing down(his sunglasses frosted up). So he anchored himself to his sherpa and climbed down just listening to his commands. His eyes are still red and a bit swollen. 🙏🏽
These guys sound and look native American... Weird
@@mukulingle2690 its sherpa's job to take care of climbers and show them right and easy way as possible. They go with them. Its their job.climbers just climb once. Sherpa does it for living.
H L are you basing that off the two sherpas off this video? Because they are wearing glasses so you can’t really assume that. Majority sherpas are tibeten descent so they look more east-asian
@@sshrrestthhha7266 east Asian are the closest looking people to native Americans. Theres 2 types of native American people some look asian while others look closely to Pacific Islanders. In the north like Canada they look asian in the south like Mexico theres natives who look way different more dark longer noses and different eyes no epicanthal fold. Asians do not have long eagle like noses like natives but yet they say the natives crossed the Bering Strait which is false to me its bs

At 0:50 BBC be like: “Yeah guys, forget going over to the right 20 feet where it takes 1 ladder to cross easily. Nope, we want you to the left over the largest part of the crevice, with 3 ladders and a prayer, just for dramatic effect.”
Oh yeah why on Earth didn’t they just do the smaller part 😲

@@qulaeygaming5202 Drones make a constant sound that is incredibly easy to edit out. The drone sound not being there doesn’t prove anything. I’m not even saying that this wasn’t faked, but your evidence certainly didn’t show that is was.
bring a camera and you will be safe, because the cameraman never dies
I'm surprised the ladder didn't fall from the weight of this man's enormous balls, utmost respect.
Lame, overused hack joke
Scary shit. Not worth the risk
Well worth the risk if you ask me
@@AdamSmith-rj3yc what exactly are you risking it all for, the rush? bragging rights? even the guy was wondering what would happen to his family if he fell, I mean sure life has risks but doing stuff like this purely for the thrill of it is a bit selfish and careless, but I think these guys make a living out of it so fair enough.
Its only worth the risk if the heaven is on other side!!
@@Transformwithpuvi this is not their hobby...its their JOB. They provide for their families!!! This is Nepal, no corporation there for work behind a desk, ok. So please forget about your lifestyle and think how thing are in other parts of the world.
There's nothing to be gained from being up there other than being up there. Like the view? Google it. But I guess some people like to brag about being brave. Soldiers who die for their country are brave anyone who dies on this mountain is foolish.
That looks quite terrifying! It certainly takes a special type of person to do what these guys do.

SHERPA ARE LIONS AT HEART!
How did they film him under the ladder??!
Im going to guess either a drone, or a long go-pro stick or something like that. Or he had giantballs and repelled down like 5 feet.
how do they still have batteries after so many hours of footage? Who would have the balls to haul up a drone all the way up there? and the cold would mess with most drone batteries?
its fake.
Drone
bob swarv I'm assuming that footage was reenacted after the fact.
They filmed him crossing with the cameras behind.. and later on they acted it out to get different angles.
I have two questions
1- why they didn’t put the ladder in a more narrow place which we can see in the video?
2- who captured the the shots from the bottom
They've chosen where they think is least likely to collapse. It's probably more powdery and not as solid. Camera, will be a drone.
@@terrymckenna3382 but the camara quality proves its not drone
@@learningarabic2793 its the only possibility and technologically drones and cameras have made astonishing leaps forth largely due to the military industrial companies. Same happened with phones real sketchy quality at first then perfect. The phone Im typing on now, is based on 4 components and so simply assembled Steve Jobs took all the accolades but again it was just a rearrangement of pre existing tech what military industry corps produced....there's no person down there, i understand its slightly.boggling but id bet its the most obvious, lightweight, any environment and easy to control...useful for assessing your ascent....im open to be wrong, i dont mind that.

But to get a great focus on that man like Dslr its not possible to get that one with drone . Camaras on drone is normally small ..
there should be some weight controlling factors ..
To get that focus that it’s needed to get a big lenses and camara ..
Let’s believe that there are equipment for that ..

Not gonna lie, but if they walked 10 yards up the ice there's like a 4 foot gap. You could lay a midget across there and make it rather than nicking a ladder from the local circus.
