Love the setup! The fit kit thing always stuck me as half ass for as much as they charge for drawer systems. Good on Rugged Bound for making a system that is made for each vehicle. Otis is my favorite for sure!
@Cruising The Land That will be awesome! Was just looking at their systems for the Wife's 200. Haven't pulled the trigger on a 80 for me yet. Soon hopefully.
@@CruisingTheLand so many fridge choices also, last year I was in a hurry for a trip, I grabbed a cheap Amazon 26qt joy tutus 12/120v fridge...... Man we use that thing for everything now but I'm looking for a larger 80 series option. Engle, ARB, dometic, looking forward to seeing what you pick.
I'm dizzy with 80 series drawer choices, these look to be a new option. Thanks for putting this together. I assume your still stoked on the drawers, looking forward to your next video on them.
Yes, they are awesome. Next video is a gear video of what I fill them with. Let me know if you want to talk with the owner of Rugged Bound to get yours!
Nice! Wish drawers weren't so expensive, I removed the back seat and finding a set that could flip over or expand to make a good sleeping platform is impossible, I think I'll probably be better off building one, especially since I wanna integrate my sub back there somehow still. Looks like a great setup though!
You could get 2 storage bins that would be the same height and put in the back for your platform. Or 1 storage and the subwoofer. Once you put a memory foam on top, smooth it all over. And keep pillows, blankets in one of the bins...
@@CruisingTheLand I Theres a ton of room inside the plastic walls in the back on the 80 series, kinda crazy how no companies utilize any of that room lol, I do like having the back seat out also cause so much more room and to have not a permanent platform I think is the way to go, cause when we sleep and travel its' me, the wife and 3 large dog and 1 small dog that sleep back there lol
No rattle whatsoever. It is solid and just like day I installed..Was in my recent video with the BattlBoxes. If you want to order, I can put you in touch with the owner directly. email cruisingtheland@gmail.com
Been meaning to ask how your JDM 80 series has been treating you? Have you had any issues in getting normal maintenance parts for it? Really enjoying your videos and have been considering importing a an 80 series because of you 😂. Keep up the good work!
These are Tried and True from South Africa. No squeaks and only drawer built for the actual 80 series.. Others are generic size with Fit kits.. This one maximizes size.
Grammar not made it over to Australia yet? “There ok” - “They are ok”, or “They’re ok”. “Were spoilt” - “we are” or “we’re”. If you practise a bit, then you will not come across like an imbecile.
Wow... glad I watched this! These are great!

Thanks! Yes, this drawer system is worth it!
Next up, getting a Fridge/Freezer for it! Stay tuned!

It look great for a 200, LX570..
Let me know if you get one!
If you are close enough, would love to come video it!
@@CruisingTheLand Used to be fairly close California wise. We migrated over to Kentucky about 4 years ago. Little bit of a drive for you!

These have been around for a while, but in South Africa, they are now available in US, distributed by Rugged Bound in Houston
These have been around since 2004 in South Africa - USA since 2020.
Yes available to order now here in the US.
@@theoferreira5413 I ended up building my own and had a lot of fun doing it. ua-cam.com/video/86IBuaZIlcI/v-deo.htmlsi=I-NmLQJ5JKWJeDuf
This is an awesome drawer system...
The best for a 80 series by far!
Sweet, I need something like that for the back of my Jeep.
Stay Safe Brother!
✌😎
They make it for the Jeep!
Link to their Wesite in my description.

Thanks, I'll check it out.
Happy Easter! 🐰

Nice vid- is there any noticeable gap when the middle seats are folded down? Wanting to also use as a sleeper
There is no gap. It is tight and closest compared to others I have seen since it's a 100% fit and not a for kit.

Hey! Now that you’ve had it a bit, can you speak to how much it rattles? And how it’s held up?

I'm in O.C. and interested in a set of 80 Series, Rugged Bound drawers. Maybe a roof rack? How can I get intouch with you?
You can reach out to cruisingtheland@gmail.com
Is a base plate absolutely necessary, or can you rivnut it directly to the bottom of the Landcruiser?
It uses existing mounting points, except the 2 holes you need to drill, which is easy.

The Diesel has been great. There is a shop near me that works on LCs, and plenty from overseas, so they can fix anything.
Not bad, I like them, but I think I much prefer my Goose Gear. The only other option I'd consider is TrekBoxx

Do you still have your white LX 470 or 100 series LC? Looks like you prefer the 80 series over the 100 or 200 series.
I like all of them.
I have a white 80 for sale, I currently don't have any 100s
@@CruisingTheLand I really love how the 80’s looks, it’s just the luck of power on the highway that deters me from getting an 80
There ok but not great but maybe in Australia were spoilt for choice better systems and more choice
